World Market

Ordered a full length mirror. Received the half-sized one. Contacted WM, was told they were out of stock and sent me a return label unprompted and initiated a refund. Asked how much the mirror I received cost, because depending on the price I might keep it instead. They resent the same email. Emailed again, asking the same question. Received the same email. This happened multiple times. Called. Customer service rep. was very rude, uninterested in the story, and unapologetic. Finally agreed I could just be refunded the difference and keep the mirror. Couldn't use the 30% off I'd originally used on the mirror I didn't get since I 'already used the coupon'. So I ended up paying full price for the mirror I didn't order because they couldn't fulfill the order I used the coupon on. Makes sense! At this point, just said ok, hung up, etc. Then I was waiting for a nearly $500 daybed. Delivery scheduled, delivery company called to tell me the box was damaged but the bed was fine. Called back to tell me actually, the bed is not fine. They'd get a new one and reschedule delivery. 3 weeks later after checking the status regularly, decided to check in since it still said 'waiting for carrier'. They emailed back saying - surprise! - the bed is out of stock. Here's a refund! Obviously at this point I flipped out. Told them I don't want a refund, I want the bed. They emailed me back...about...the mirror. I emailed back asking them to read the email I sent them this time before continuing to waste my time. Now they email me a repeat of the same email from the first time. I tell them they need to find the bed at a store, then, and ship it to me from the store. They finally tell me the bed is out of stock in all the stores - which is hilarious, because I was at my local store about three weeks ago and they had it, so I'm sooo glad they waited until *I* suggested a solution on their behalf, and now it's too late! It's almost as if they could have resolved this on their own weeks ago, if only I had been working for them and instructing them on how to resolve problems! They then tell me they 'called me multiple times today but the phone rang busy' which is factually untrue based on: I had my phone in my hand all day as I spent most of my day EMAILING THEM. My phone did not ring. I have no missed calls, as proven by the call log I sent them a screenshot of. I have no voicemails. And do cell phones even ring busy??? I wasn't even on the phone today! How would it ring busy?? So basically, I ordered furniture over a month ago, and two of the main items I ordered are out of stock and WM does not have a single soul in their office who can read, comprehend, and respond to emails, nor do they know how to actually find a solution to anything besides 'sending a refund'. Do note, on my order status log it STILL shows that the bed is 'awaiting carrier pickup'. For context, I had an issue with WALMART getting me a mattress once, and they fixed it in literally ONE DAY. For emphasis, *WAL MART*. I also had an issue with Target twice. Both times the issue was resolved with ONE EMAIL. The SAME DAY. I have 15 emails from WM customer care dating back from 3/31 through today, and nothing has been resolved beyond just like...refunding me for what they decided not to send me after I paid for it...which is just legally what they have to do.

An experience of disappointment all around. Our order was delayed to arrive by over a month when it was promised in 5-7 business days. Secondly, the delivery company SEKO that World Market uses are rude and not pleasant to deal with in scheduling and delivery. The amount you pay for delivery--they only deliver to your front door or garage, not inside the house. No were on their website does it state that the delivery is only to the front door or garage only. When I called World Market about the issues, they were sorry and they couldn't do anything about it. We will certainly not buy anything again from World Market. Instead, we will shop at other companies (Pottery Barn, West Elm, CB2, Anthropologie, Restoration) that deliver and set-up your furniture. World Market offered nothing but poor customer experience and lack of care for customers. We have a choice where we shop and spend our money and it will not be at World Market, because they don't value customer care.

I have had the worst experience with World Market ever and I would never order ANYTHING from this incompetent company again... I placed an order on Sunday 11/11 and updated my address to AZ from MI when I received an email confirmation they mixed part of my MI address and AZ address together. I called within an hour and thought it could be changed. The customer service rep told me she could not change it and I would have to contact my postal service or who ever was shipping it and change it with them or let it ship to the wrong address and come back to the store., Hung up! Called back the next rep took my address told me he would put it on a supervisors deck and it would be taken care of. So I called Monday morning 11/12 and spoke to a Supervisor who stated it was not to late and it would be taken care of, matter of fact she called me back to ask me for my address again. Then Tuesday night I get a new email that it shipped, low and behold it’s still the old address. I called spoke to ANOTHER supervisor and she stated there was not no guarantee that the address would have been changed and now I would have to let it ship to an address that doesn’t even exist and wait for that to happen. I was unable to talk to someone who could actually give me answers or tell me that my over $500 purchase was gonna be taken care and be able to reach me by Thanksgiving. I’m so disappointed and disgusted with the incompetence of how this was handled as will never give them my business. Buyer beware Cost Plus don’t care about you and what you spend with them! Update- I’ve been going back and forth with this company who has continued to give me misinformation about my shipment, that when I ordered it was intended for Thanksgiving. It’s so disheartening when you not only don’t receive your product, your money back or a solution for all you inconvenience’s. I have still not received my order of the refund I was told a week ago from Mike in the Customer Service management team. It is the 28th and I called and left a message for Mike in Monday the 26th to find out about the refund of my money.

World Market in Vancouver, WA. Half the items doesn't have price. After spending 2 hours there, when i was at the cashier, i couldn't pay because "we updated the system and only accept chip cards". What a bullshit. What a crappy service and way to discriminate. My favourite place is now a big disappointment.

World Market sold us old and out of date product, then offered me a gift card because they messed up. I thought I would give them another try and ordered jarred curry sauce. They plopped it in a box without any bubble wrap or packing material. Needless to say, two jars exploded, glass and sauce everywhere. When I called to ask for refund, they said they wouldn’t be able to refund me for 10 days!!! I definitely will never order or purchase from them again and would recommend shopping anywhere else

I purchased a $150 picture & agreed to a total of $125.93 after my discount was applied. They failed to make it known or apparent that they will also charge you additional taxes after the taxes they already charged you at their convineive causing my account to overdraft. They gave me no apology and are not willing to fix the damages they have caused for me. This a shady and crooked company & I highly recommend taking your business else where.

Rude sales clerk, treated absolutely deplorably. Store manager stood by and watched (like a train wreck) as this insanely unstable clerk completely lost her marbles on me. I’ve never been so mistreated by a sales clerk in my life. Unreal, like being thrust into the Twilight Zone!
