The Good

  • Competitive Health Plans
  • Helpful Enrollment Assistance
  • Member Benefits

Competitive Health Plans

Bright HealthCare offers Medicare Advantage plans, employer-sponsored health plans, and health plans for individuals and families.

Both plans include access to a network of care providers, which Bright HealthCare refers to as Care Partners. Most health plans have provider networks, though Bright HealthCare's Care Partner terminology is unique.

Bright HealthCare offers off-exchange health plans that meet Affordable Care Act guidelines. With these plans, you can benefit from telehealth services through Doctor on Demand. Access to telehealth services is becoming a more common offering from health insurers.

The company's Medicare Advantage plans don't have copays for specialist and generalist doctors. They also don't have copays for commonly prescribed Tier 1 Preferred Generic and Tier 6 Select Maintenance medications.

Additional benefits of these plans include coverage for preventive dental care, routine eye and hearing exams, fitness programs, and meal delivery after a hospital stay.

Employers can find small group coverage that's compliant with the Affordable Care Act. Bright HealthCare offers a nationwide network option that is beneficial for employers with remote employees throughout the United States.

Helpful Enrollment Assistance

Another advantage of working with Bright HealthCare is the range of enrollment assistance available. Many health insurance companies have insurance agents available to assist. However, Bright HealthCare stands out for its Authorized Enrollment Centers where you can receive answers to questions and help enrolling in a plan.

Bright HealthCare also offers access to Individual & Family Health Insurance Marketplace navigators who are trained to offer unbiased enrollment assistance.

With Medicare, you can also benefit from assistance through these Authorized Enrollment Centers. Beyond this in-person assistance, you can find virtual events to learn more about Medicare Advantage plans.

Member Benefits

Whatever plan you have, you can benefit from online policy management and an online directory for finding an in-network provider. With the company's individual and family plans, you can get cash rewards for doing things like choosing a primary care doctor.

Medicare plan members can benefit from Bright HealthCare's Medication Management Program for assistance with prescriptions.

If you're switching from a prescription drug plan to a Medicare Advantage plan, Bright HealthCare offers a program to help with the transition if one of your typical prescriptions won't be covered by your new Medicare Advantage plan.

You can also see if you qualify for financial assistance with Medicare from Bright HealthCare's site.

The Bad

  • Limited Customer Service Hours
  • Not All Prescriptions May Be Covered
  • Limited Availability
  • Low Number of Customer Reviews

Limited Customer Service Hours

Bright HealthCare offers customer service by phone from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. Although some members may prefer 24/7 customer service, these customer service hours aren't limited to business hours.

With these hours Bright HealthCare strikes a good balance between meeting member needs and caring for employees.

Not All Prescriptions May Be Covered

Check your plan's formulary to make sure that your medications are covered. Most health plans have drug formularies that list which drugs are covered by the plan. Although it can be frustrating if a plan doesn't cover your medications, formularies are a common practice for Medicare plans and health insurance.

Limited Availability

Bright HealthCare is not available in every state. If you're not in one of the 13 states it serves, you'll need to find another health insurance company.

Low Number of Customer Reviews

Best Company has not received many Bright HealthCare customer reviews, so insight on the customer experience is not available.

gavel

The Bottom Line

Although more customer insight would be helpful, Bright HealthCare is worth considering for its competitive health plans and member benefits. The insurer's Medicare Advantage plan features like meal delivery after a hospital stay and coverage for preventive dental care are also competitive for the industry.

Employers with remote employees throughout the United States can benefit from the insurer's Nationwide Network option.

Bright HealthCare goes above and beyond with enrollment assistance. From unbiased Individual & Family Health Insurance Marketplace navigators and Authorized Enrollment Centers to virtual information sessions on Medicare, you can be confident when you're enrolling in health insurance.

Avoid purchasing health insurance from this company! Among all the insurance providers I have dealt with, this one has been the worst. They went out of business in Texas, leaving me owed over $700. It has been over a year, and I am still struggling to get my money back.

I selected a specific plan for 2022 because it had a zero copay on the first specialist visit, but I was charged $100. I called Bright once or more every month from May 2022 until December 2022 when I gave up and switched to a different insurance company for 2023. I spent over 15 hours on the phone, each time I was reassured they would reprocess the claim because of their error, which they acknowledged each time. It went to collections in the fall of 2022, so I paid the $100. Guess what? In January of 2024, yes 19 months later, I got a check for $100. What a horrible company. Additionally they denied a inexpensive, common prescription. I told my doctor and he was shocked because it is a routine, established, safe medication that is typically covered.

Brighthealth issued a Visa debit cards for rewards card didn’t expire until 07/27 but I didn’t receive my reward not until December at the of open enrollment. So when I tried to use card there was no funds available to use. So I’ve been trying to resolve problem with missing funds every since the beginning of the new year have not got resolved as of yet I keep calling them and there reply is call back it’s still under investigation to be solve. What kind of company is this that keeps telling you there still investigating it does it take almost 6 months to solve. I even spoken with higher up. We will see what becomes of this situation. They also mention I’m not the only client with this issue. I rate this health care a zero.

Bright Health issued a Visa Debit card with a 12/25 expires date in front of the card but all a sudden all the reminding balance was all gone in 03/23 because it had a hidden conditions of "EXPIES IN 60 DAYS AFTER MEMBERSHIP ENDED". However, this hidden condition was not indicated anywhere on the card (not on front nor back of the card), in fact, it has 5 lines of statements fine print on the back of the card but still decided not to disclose such hidden condition! I have many similar Visa Debit cards issued by other companies, they all follow industry standard business practice to base on the expires date indicated on the front of the card. In summary, my family and all my friends had come up with a same conclusion that Bright Health is a dishonorable company, which mislead, misinform the general members by INTENTIONAL NOT DISCLOSED SUCH HIDDEN CONDITION ON THE CARD and misleading customers that the Expires Date 12/25 on the front of the card, but that expires date was a false information.

I first signed up for a health insurance plan with Bright Healthcare in August of 2022 to begin in September 2022 and my monthly premium was $422.75/month and I was set up on an auto-draft ACH payment plan. When the time for Open Enrollment came around I received correspondence that Bright Healthcare would no longer be offering Individual and Family Health Insurance plans in 2023. I found and paid for a new health insurance company to provide health coverage that would begin 1/1/2023. On December 23, 2022 Bright Healthcare charged me a premium for January for $488.70. I was told there would be no more Individual health insurance plans available in 2023, thus I never signed up for, nor selected any health insurance plans from Bright Healthcare. It wasn't as if they just accidentally continued to charge me for my premium, this charge was $66 more than the plan I was on. They owe me $488.00. I noticed the money had been taken out within a couple of days and called after Christmas was over on December 27th to figure out what happened and told them I was told there would be no more individual plans, that I never signed up for a new plan, and that I had already found a new health insurance company for January. They told me not to worry, they would make sure the plan was canceled and that I would be refunded my money back into the account it was drafted from in 7-10 business days and was given reference number CAS-1823902-J4F9L9. I tried to give them benefit of the doubt and I waited to call back again until January 17th. When I called, I was told that they were so sorry, that for some reason my issue was marked as closed and that they would re- open the case and in 5-7 business days my money would be refunded. I called again today, January 25th, and I still have not received my money and they said my case was closed and they would re-open it and I was given reference number 4197975 and told to call back later on Monday.

If I could give zero stars I would have. I have always had the name brand insurance companies, BC, Aetna, etc. I wanted to try Bright Healthcare, thinking they would be just as good. In over 30 years, I have never been denied a service or surgery. That is not the case with Bright Health. I have an MRI of my knee that shows bone on bone. They denied my surgery until I tried rehab, which cost me over $900. The Physical Therapist said that with an MRI that bad, there was no chance of rehab working for my knee. My Doctor wanted to try Gel Injections. They said, I need to to get a Steroid Injection before they approve Gel Injections. I received the Steroid Injection, and after that didn't work, they still are denying the Gel Injections, saying I do not need it. I am in tremendous pain and can no longer play tennis and be active. Which, if this company had any brains would realize that it's just causing them to lay out more money since they are keeping their patients from exercising, since they won't approve anything. I am headed for a knee replacement, however, my Doctor is trying the more conservative route, but Bright Health keeps denying those services as well. I can't wait until this year is up, so that I can switch to one of the big three and get good health insurance again. I like to see the owner/ceo and his family receive the same care that their patients receive, to see how he would like it. Do yourself a favor and please run from this company!

The worst health insurance and experience of my lifetime. What a terrible company and experience. I switched from Ambetter (Arizona) at start of 2022, and opted for Brighthealth as a more expensive option w better coverage as I wanted to make sure I had good insurance going into a new year. My first experience was in arranging a sleep study. I found a sleep center that was approved by Brighthealh. Then I set an appt that was 45 days out - which seem to be commonplace. Then the day before my appt, the sleep center called and said Brighthealth had withdrawn and they could no longer accept my insurance! Of course nobody told me so I showed up for said appt and learned the hard way. Then when I got my prescription for a CPAP machine, the morons at Brighthealth sent me a guide showing about 20 place in Phoenix where I could get my machine covered under insurance. Of the 20, only 5 were in the business of CPAP machines at all. Why would they even be on the stupid list? So I called and called and of the five that were legit CPAP providers, 3 were out of business. One told me the wait to get my machine was 8 months and one said they just wouldn't be able to accomodate me. So I called back and Brighthealth gave me a few more names and numbers and NONE of them were valid. So I paid 1100.00 out of pocket for my machine. I received similar experiences from my cardiologist and my general family practice physician also. Brighthealth covered NOTHING for me and served as a absolute and horrible waste of money and time. So for all of 2022, I paid my cardiologist and family care doctor as self-pay w out insurance. And, the cherry on top, Brighthealth just announced it is leaving Arizona. Not that there was any chance at all of me staying with such an awful company, but I wanted the satisfaction of dumping them - and I didn't even get that. Be aware if you are in another state and considering this piecemeal, entirely unprofessional company, that seems to be in complete disarray and wildly dysfunctional. I have never had such an experience with any company, regardless of industry, where they were so incompetent at every turn.

This is the worst insurance you can get. They denied two claims of mine stating that I did not have coverage when I saw the doctor. I an email and said that is impossible. I am on auto pay and have never missed a payment. That was in June. They replied a month later and said that they made a mistake and was looking at an old account. (I have never had an account with them previously). They said they were resubmitting and it would be paid in 30 to 60 business days. It has now been 3 months and neither of these have been paid. My doctors are wanting their money. Why should I have to wait for 3 or more months for them to correct their mistake? Stay away from this company at all costs unless you want your credit destroyed, bills sent to collection.

The “customer service “ with Bright Healthcare is awful. I have never done business with a worse company, and I’ve been a cable tv customer! The agents can’t answer questions, so I left a message for someone to call me back. Four months later, I got a return call. They changed my credit card twice in one month. When I called, they said it was a glitch with the system. I asked them to refund the extra charge. They said they didn’t have the ability to see it, so I’d need to send them a copy of my credit card statement, the entire statement! Who would do that, especially after they admitted how incapable they are. I don’t think they’re too Bright - healthcare!

Horrible! Very questionable billing, denying claims and terrible customer service. Four calls to customer service today to get an explanation about why my monthly premium amount keeps changing. First call the agent kept saying that he couldn't hear me, "must be a bad connection", next two phone calls resulted in the agents simply hanging up on me. Last call I spoke with an agent for some time but apparently math was not her strong suit in elementary school. I kept pointing out that if it was a $7 membership charge for three people it should equal $21, not $125.30. Apparently all supervisors were very busy but she assured me my case would be sent to the "escalation team" for assistance.

Bright Healthcare prompted me to choose a primary care doc as soon as I signed up. I did. Then, when I needed to make an appointment recently, I was told that doc is not accepting new patients. So, I'm forced to start over again. Their database of doctors is out of date and inaccurate. Docs listed under "family practice" are really in urgent care centers, are cardiologists, etc. Called one office only to hear, "That doctor left the practice last November." NOVEMBER of last year, but still appears on their website. I've spent hours just trying to find a doc and am getting nowhere. Very frustrating.

DO NOT get Bright Health insurance. I filed a claim in July and it's September and not only have I not been reimbursed, the claim is not logged on the Bright Health website and every time I call for an update, they say it takes x amount of days (which has passed) and my claim isn't in the system and then I have to tell them that one agent told me over a month ago that it IS in the system and then suddenly they see that it is in the system but they still have no way to assist me. I also was looking for doctors that were taking new clients on the Bright Health website and I used the filter that only showed doctors taking new patients only to call/email all of them and none of them were taking new patients. I called Bright Health to ask how often they update their directory and they claimed once a month but when I went to try again at the appropriate time, nothing was updated. You'll get the run around from everyone and no actual help. You will also have to pay for your medication out of pocket if you are late on payment. So they won't reimburse you AND they won't pay for your medication. This is the worst health insurance ever.

How is this company showing a 4.0 Rating?! Bright HealthCare should be renamed Blight HealthCare. They are a blight on the health care system. Their customer service once you can endure their phone tree and find someone to speak with just transfers you to someone else. They are inflexible and cancel coverage even when payment has been made and then say oh sorry for our error. Happening once - ok are we in the computer age? Happening twice - nope! That is ineptitude and system communication failures. I despise this insurance company as a result of wasting so much time trying to resolve simple requests. Just keep looking. Don't waste energy on Blight HealthCare

I used their website to find an urgent care facility. I used the first one that popped up - Dispatch Health. According to my insurance card, I only have to pay a $50 copay for urgent care. I got billed by Dispatch Health for $125. Ist time I called Bright Healthcare, the agent said to ignore the bill since I only needed to pay $50. Kept getting billed by Dispatch Health for $125. 2nd Time I called Bright Healthcare agent said it was a coinsurance charge which is never stated on my card. I asked to have a manager call me. Got a missed call from Bright Healthcare so I called Bright Healthcare for the 3rd time and asked to speak to a manager. The agent said she will transfer me to a manager as soon as one is available. I was on hold for 20 minutes before being disconnected. Called Bright Healthcare a 4th time and told the agent I was on hold to speak to a manager and got disconnected. The agent said it can take up to 48 hours for a manager to call me back. I explained about the urgent care that iI used charged me $125. She said the website has ads that pop up for other companies in a search for urgent care facilities even if they are not urgent care. She said unless the facility specifically says urgent care. it is not considered urgent care. I told the agent that it is very misleading and these ads should be removed from the website and not be allowed to happen in a search. She said she will relay my message to the company.

This company has denied a LARGE claim (among many not paid, but let's talk on this one) for me for 10 months. Denied it numerous times. Even though I have SENT them the pre-authorization they required to do the procedure, they KEEP coming back saying no pre-authorization. they said "out of network" one time, and I sent them THEIR page showing the hospital as in network. So they went back to no pre-authorization yet again. When I talk to their phone people, they are powerless. they can not access anything, and they can't even send you to a manager. they can only send an email to a manager, to have you called back. Something that rarely happens. So you call again, to geo through the same "I can't deal with it, and i can't transfer you to a manager. Sorry. All I can do is email and they will get back to you (cough)" even they can't believe their own words anymore. I am getting threats to destroy MY credit due to Bright Healthcare not responding to bills. I have even paid a few to protect my credit. I can't pay the big ones. I'll be filing an official complaint with the state and the BBB, but I see the average rating here is 1.22 of 5 stars, so I'm not alone. My opinion is DO NOT get this insurance! Go elsewhere.

-10 stars. This company is a company of thieves and liars. They will switch your payments to automated with out warning. Raise premiums without notification, and remove money from your account without permission or authorization. Then when you try to resolve the issues, they lie and blame it all back on the customer. They will tell you the un authorized payment hasn't proccessed from the bank despite having been on a three way call with the bank where the bank rep told them that yes it had been processed. Yet, bhc has continued to tell me that it's with the bank. They refuse to let you speak to anyone but the lowest and most unknowledgeable and untrained of their employees who's English is only barely intelligible. Bright health should be forcably irradicated and every one of it's executives locked up for life. This is a vile, and dispicable company.

I used Bright Healthcare insurance for 1 year and switched to other company as soon as I can. My doctor needed to update claim in order to receive payment, but unfortunately Bright Healthcare insurance never receives neither mail nor fax. I called probably 20 times or more to ask how to send and if Bright Healthcare insurance received documents in the way they requested to be send, they would always say they didn't receive: neither mail nor fax. We sent claim documents 4 times: 2 mail, 2 fax. They keep me calling and calling while one day Brigh Healthcare insurance said that my case were canceled because they have certain amount of time claim to be updated.. On top of that, when I asked to speak with manager or supervisor they would try to connect with 20 min wait time and eventually they would say that either supervisor are in the meeting or would hang up on me. Its obvious that Bright Healthcare insurance takes time on purpose till the case is closed. It was my first time dealing with that, so my patience took 2 years.. I would always call back again and again. Would recommend to avoid this company, it really looks like a scam.

This is the WORST health insurance ever! Do not get!!! We have a Bronze plan and says preventative mammogram covered. Called to verify before going. Then when I go I receive a bill saying they didn’t pay anything at all. Called Bright Health and they blamed the Dr. who ordered it. Called my Dr. they said “No it was ordered correctly as a preventative.” The Dr. office then lowers the cost and send me due upon reciept now 3 times. I have called Bright Health Care over 5 times waited the 48 hr window for supervisor call me no call back!! Called again literally I was yelled at me the customer. I remained calm and tried resolve issue. Was told “they would resubmit because yea I was right it’s supposed be covered and they have paid nothing and wait 40 days.” Now I call back leave a call back number in case disconnected go through whole story and what happens we get disconnected and no call back. I call back says high call volume and I can’t get through. We also received a letter saying when we signed up they misstated the policy and this is what it said and this is what it really should have stated. What is going on with this company??? This is horrible to be treated this way and be told one thing then another. Get no decent customer service. It’s such a mess and we pay our dues every month and won’t even pay on a preventative service. I would cringe to know what would happen should something serious occur. I have wasted so much time on phone waiting back and forth.. them blaming the Dr office who is so competent and knows what their doing vs this start up joke of a insurance company. Nothing but headaches and poor service. Complete rip off. Should have stayed with Select Health. I now am stuck with a bill I shouldn’t have to pay but obviously this crooked company can’t even honor their policies. Stay away from this place.

Do not get coverage from this company. They have confusing and contradicting statement of benefits that even confuse the providers. Thus, they do not pay on claims like they should, and when you have them sent back up for a review, I am still waiting 7 months now since I went in for a doctors visit, and it still has not been processed. Each time I call they tell me the same thing.

Bright has friendly but useless customer service and a highly inaccurate provider list. Looking for an in-network counselor took me over 10 hours and still no luck! 3 phone calls to customer service, hours on the MemberHub provider search to find an in-network provider (all of the ones I found on their site, or were given by customer service did not accept the insurance. Several of them had never even heard of the company). Finally was told I could go through Doc on Demand, and scheduled an appointment for 3 weeks later. I was given a notification my estimated cost would be $0 with my insurance, but after my appointment the claim was denied by Bright. The same customer service department that said to use Doc on Demand told me it was out of network. Now I'm too nervous to even use the insurance, because I don't trust them to uphold the plan!

This insurance is literally useless. They show you one thing before signing up, and after. It only covers the most random things (won't cover antibiotics, but will cover sleep aids?) The coverage for my Chiropractor is non-existent because they charge less than the minimum on the insurance. I cannot find a provider for GP, Internal Medicine that isn't a long drive. I'm going to be so glad when my new insurance kicks in for my job. Several physicians have said their patients drop this once they see how limited you are. It's a $350 plan through healthcare.gov that does nothing. Glad I'm not paying anywhere near that amount thanks to the credit I received.

I am looking to sue them for pain and suffering because I meet the bmi requirements. And have given them letters of necessity oh and they denied also be the didn’t know if I smoke my h&p says clearly no and what does that do with a hip replacement . 3 years with them and the I regret I didn't switch to a different company. The last 2 years were the most costly health insurance years for my family, not because of illness thank god, but because Bright Health is really bad. On top I feel that some fishy things are going on. Never signed up for auto pay, yet, at some point they started to take the money from my account without permission. Billed me for things they didn't need, and worst, I spent hours with them and customer service is pretty lame, supervisors are mean and heartless, and will not try to help at all!!! Just will let you know that this is how it is, and there is nothing they can do. This is definitely the last year with Bright Health. I wish Kaiser will come to Arizona, this is how health insurance should be.

Thankfully the advantage plan in New York will no longer be offered, forcing me to switch to regular medicare and I'll be rid of technical website access issues, limited customer service ability to correct yearly billing issues with Mount Sinai, limited access to claims department to correct their billing errors, a truly ongoing centralized computer issue causing billing issues, delayed prior approval causing a necessary medical test appointment to be rescheduled. And finally, a letter dated October 1st, informing me to get another health plan arriving the day before Thanksgiving - with less than 2 weeks to research alternate health insurance before the open enrollment deadline. It was cheap, but not worth all the aggravation they created! It doesn't even deserve a one star rating.

My plan has been great about covering prescriptions, but that's about it. Inaccurate and outdated provider list, which leads to all kinds of slowdowns when trying to find care. EXTREMELY limited coverage. Customer support is fairly useless. If you need any kind of care outside of medications, I would advise you seek another company.

Where do I start if you don’t have any health problems and never see a Dr then this insurance may be for you but if you get sick it’s horrible they don’t pay claims the hospital called and said I owed 7002.00 because the insurance denied them Bright Healthcare was fined 500000.00 for not paying claims in April of 2022 I ended up in the hospital and needed to go home on oxygen and they told the oxygen company I didn’t have coverage when I called them they denied this by far the worse insurance company out there now I will file complaints with the insurance commission and Medicare

Bright health is horrible. They don’t pay claims even when you are in network! It is impossible to call someone to help you at bright health. I couldn’t get my flu shot today because bright health did not process my Sept payment that cleared my bank 8/30/22 until 9/7/22. Everything is always the customers fault, never bright health. They have terrible customer service. 1 star is to high for this scam of an insurance company!

As a provider who is in network with Bright I can tell you that my experience with them has been awful . I called them to get medical/billing policy for a specific code and no one seemed to know. I talked with 6 people and apparently it is their policy to just hang up on you if they don't know the answer. Of course no one calls back even though they asked for my phone number each time. Run, run ,run away from this plan!

FRAUDULENT!!! Attempted ever scheme to refuse paying for bills including sending denials to an address I had 6 years ago!!! Stating I was not covered on the date of service because they billed it to a plan I had with them 6 years ago instead of my CURRENT coverage. Even after confronting them about this fraudulent practice they attempted to do the SAME THING over and over!!! I’m 63 and have purchased multiple insurance plans over my 63 years, and I have NEVER seen a company this FRAUDULENT!

Went through the healthcare exchange to get this insurance. It's been a nightmare ever since. No pediatric endocrinologists that accept bright healthcare where I live. Found one two hours away that takes this insurance. They just called and cancelled my appointment because they no longer are accepting patients with this insurance because Bright Health is not paying claims submitted by the physicians office. This is not the first time I heard about this from a doctors office.. Filing a grievance with market exchange and hoping I can enroll elsewhere,

I called this company to cancel coverage back in June of 2021 to cancel coverage however they are saying they do not have a call log . They produced a 1095 indicated I had coverage most of 2021 . Now the IRS is looking for the tax credit back . I NEVER used the insurance and had full coverage on my job . Stay away from these people if you can . I would rate them a 0 however that option is not available .

I liked the rewards that they had to offer but they made it very difficult to cancel and charged me for the service even though I had changed insurance providers. They have some friendly people on their support but in the 6 months that we had Bright, I have spent close to 40 hours on calls trying to get everything taken care of. I ended up with surprise bills because of out-of-network issues or mislabeling. While their monthly premium was reasonable, the number of headaches and stress trying to work with them is unacceptable. I would not recommend this service to anyone!

I need a neurologist but can't find one. My fiancé went to the sight with me since I had a stroke a few years ago and still can't hear right. We called some foreign person who told us a number to call at a neurologist office. We called the number and they told us we're out of network... I've been through the ringer ever since my stroke that I thought having insurance would help... but instead I get lied to. I can barely move but I don't think they give a s**t. They just want their money and that's it. This is by far the worst insurance I would ever have again.

This company is inept. You will be insured. That is true. But the cost savings will be quickly chewed up and lost by spending countless hours on the phone and within their lame messaging system. This company must be staffed with people who clearly do not care or do not know how to do their job or are incapable of providing any thing rising to the level of service commensurate with the premiums you pay. I would avoid this company if possible. If not, you sincerely have my sympathy. I desperate position one would need to be in to put up with such poor a poorly run organization.

Horrendous! Zero response to messages sent via online customer portal, hours on hold to receive the most unhelpful, uncaring, incredibly useless insight from their representatives. The provider directory is am absolute joke, very out of date, no links to provider sites, no reviews, no credentials, no information whatsoever in the modge-podge jumble of supposed in-network providers, whom 98% of do NOT even accept Bright Healthcare and have no clue why they would be listed in their provider directory as theyve NEVER accepted Bright! What an absolute dumpster fire of a company.

I don’t recommend this insurance Bright Health Care is a Fraud !!! When we use healthCare Market place we look in which plan best suit our income and family. We choose one that said PCP will be $0 copay I look to see what other benefits it had and compare it to another plan. When I got my insurance Card it said $0 just for the first visit then after I will pay $50. It never said that when shopping in the market place so please be aware of their scam

I signed up for the plan that supposedly has no charge for primary care, specially care, and generic drugs. But that ended up not being true and I'm always getting bills from my providers (who are in-network) and I've had to pay almost $2000 out of pocket for services that should have been covered.

They Cannot process claims correctly and do not pay health providers. Very stressful to deal with and will cost you much more in denied coverage. They are not what they advertise. Stay away from this insurance company at all cost!!!!

This company will enroll you for auto-pay without your consent. After getting that situated they terminated my coverage 18 days after paying my premium. Then upon speaking to representatives. They just told me "there's nothing I can do, give me money" and refused my request to speak to a manager before hanging up on me.

Just about the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Left a call back request; they called 2 months later! They charged my credit card twice for the same premium, then told me I had to send them a copy of my bank statement to correct it. This company is frightening.

I do not recommend this company. I could waste an hour writing about how they have failed me in so many ways. However, I have already wasted hours trying to get medical care with them blocking me from getting it, so I don't have the time to tell you anything other than to go elsewhere for medical insurance if you can.

Not only have I been disappointed, but the physician offices also tell me it's a horrible plan and to pick another one next time. It is a cheap plan where the patient gets billed for things they never did before. My mammograms are usually covered but I was sent a bill for the radiologist who read the image.

Terrible. Did not pay half of the bills. Had to call multiple times about unpaid claims. Still waiting for them to pay. It takes them 30-60 days to review a claim. Also, very expensive. Had to pay about $950 each month.
