The Good

  • 2-Pair Eyewear Deals
  • Return Policy
  • Financing Offer
  • Free Shipping

2-Pair Eyewear Deals

You can get two pairs of glasses for $78. This is a really low price. Of course, not all options will be eligible, and not everyone plans on buying two pairs of standard glasses.

These two pairs of glasses are to be chosen from a limited selection of frames and include single vision uncoated CR-39 plastic lenses. From there you can upgrade for different lenses or coatings through the optical shop online.

Consumers can get two pairs of lined plastic bifocals for $158 or two pairs of no-line multifocal progressive lenses for $198. This low-cost offer will really help to save money. It isn’t the lowest price, because some online vendors sell glasses starting at five or six dollars, but these will be name brand glasses, which isn’t always the case when it comes to cheap online eyewear.

Return Policy

Eyeglass World has a 30-day refund policy in the event that your glasses don’t fit. We are unable to verify the return shipping process. Customers will have to contact customer service for details and fees.

Financing Offer

CareCredit healthcare credit cards are available for customers that want to look into buying on credit. It has a $300 minimum purchase for a 12-month plan.

Free Shipping

Eyeglass World offers free standard shipping for online orders. Within the United States, prescription eyeglasses can take 9–14 days to arrive.

The Bad

  • Customer Contact Methods
  • Protection Plan
  • Insurance

Customer Contact Methods

One small place with room for improvement is adding text and chat customer service. Currently, only phone and email, snail mail, and fax are available.

Additionally, customer service is only available from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern, Monday–Friday and 9 a.m.–5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sunday support is not an option.

Protection Plan

Warby Parker offers free fixes for scratched lenses within the first 12 months. With Eyeglass World, you will have to pay $25 for the extended protection plan.

On the other hand, when you are shopping for glasses, you will notice that not many online sellers even offer a protection plan or extended warranty on their products lasting days, let alone months.

Insurance

Eyeglass World is in-network for lots of national and regional eyeglass health insurance plans, but only in-store. Vision insurance is not accepted as payment for online orders.

However, FSA and HSA cards are available accepted as payment.

The Bottom Line

Eyeglass World sells glasses (frames and lenses) and contact lenses. Shoppers can benefit from a large selection of well-known brands, free shipping, and a 30-day return policy. Cost is pretty average at this online eyeglass store, except for the two pair promo deals, which bring cost down by quite a bit.

Treva Rambow Capac, MI

After spending close to $800.00 dollars .after 2 insurances I have coke bottle glasses that look hideous..I asked and was assured I was paying for the thinest possible lenses and compared them with my current glasses.no comparison..these look cheap, thick and subpare.....and I still have no contacts so I have not even been scheduled for my followup exam..I told the Dr I will only wear daily lenses..I have been messing around with this incompetence since May..It is now August 29th and they have used my 2 insurances up. I can't wear my glasses they are hideous and I have no contacts..please don't go here you will end up wasting time your money and your insurance and have to go somewhere else like I am now doing
