With CreditCheck Total, credit report monitoring with Experian begins within 48 hours of enrollment.

Credit monitoring with Equifax and TransUnion takes approximately four days to begin and in some cases can't be initiated during the trial period.

This means that customers won't actually be able to take full advantage of the company's monitoring services during the seven-day trial period.

Monthly Cost Higher Than Competitors

CreditCheck Total's monthly membership fee is $29.99 after the seven-day trial, which is a much higher monthly fee than what is often charged for other credit monitoring services.

In fact, many other companies in the industry offer free credit report monitoring services. 

Website Difficult to Navigate

CreditCheck Total's website is somewhat difficult to navigate. For example, many important pieces of information are tough to locate and potential customers have to dig around a bit in order to figure out what the company offers.

I called to cancel before the 7day free period was over, I entered my ssn to allow me to speak to a representative. Took approximately 35 minutes but after confirming my identity I was granted the cancellation. Waited 5 mins more to receive email confirmation which stated I was cancelled. So I'll update if they try & charge afterwards. 3 stars for nice representative interaction & ease of cancel.

I never write reviews online. Who has time for that? But that’s just how horrible my experience was. In fact the last review site wouldn’t post my review so I came to this one. I’ve been trying for days to get a human being on the phone, but it seems like they don’t want you to contact them. The phone system sends you in circles, and hangs up on you if you request and operator too many times. They put their physical mailing address as the only other way to contact them. I would rate this zero stars if I could. If you’re taking the time to read this, I hope this inspires you not to give this company a single penny. I’ve heard of them charging for the free trial even if you cancel your membership early. If they do that to me, I will be going after this company legally.

If I could have selected no stars that's exactly what CCT would have received. My husband and I have had this service since early 2013 and have only had limited issues. However, for this last month we have not been able to log in nor get a representative on the phone. I am now in the process of making a formal complaint, for they are still debiting monthly from our account for a service that we are no longer able to access. I believe this would be considered an unfair exchange of service(s). The recording on the toll free number simply gives a generic message and advises you to log in. It also states that we have no membership with the company. This is unacceptable business practice and I will ensure justice is served. Awful way to treat customers;(

I ONLY SELECTED 1 star, because it would let me post without selecting at least 1 star. The absolute worst service and customer service. I signed up to this service based on a referral and called and cancelled my membership before my free trial had ended. 3 to 4 months later, I realized that my account was still being charged. I called to have the membership cancelled and request a refund. The agent advised that the previous representative cancelled my free membership, but not the paid membership. He advised that he could cancel the membership, but can only refund 1 month. I asked to speak with a supervisor. He connected me to Wendy(supervisor) who suggested that I cancelled through the ivr(which there is no option to do so), and I only cancelled my free membership, because you have to speak with someone to cancel the paid membership. I advised that when you select the option to cancel the membership via the ivr that it connects you to a representative automatically, so her theory is impossible. She insisted that that is the only way that the paid membership never cancelled and apologized that only the current month would be refunded. This service is a complete scam. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE, BECAUSE THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY AND CLAIM THAT YOU MADE THE ERROR. I hate that I ever signed up

This service and company is AWEFUL!! If I could give then 0 stars I would! I have had this service since April 2018, trying to clean my credit up to buy a house. They charged me $29 every month. I noticed that there was no available credit report for the month of July so I tried contacting them. I was routed through the voice service 3 times then disconnected. I tried calling again and was put on hold for an hour then disconnected. I tried going online and was locked out of my account for no reason. My password never changed, nor did my user ID. None of the functions worked on the “forgot my password/ user ID”. Finally was able to get a hold of someone today (September 24th, 2018). By this time July and August credit reports never showed up on my account. They refused to give me a refund after I was transferred to 3 different people over 2 hours of phone time. How can you charge for a service, not provide it and then tell the customer you don’t know what happened or why there was no credit report for 2 months but no refunds are issued per policy. You are better off going through Credit Karma!

Zero Stars!!!!Con Artist!!!!!! after cancelling, the very next month they started charging me again!!! its been over a year trying to get $449.25 back and its not happening!!!! they lied about sending me emails and phone calls!!! I am still waiting for a human to pick up the line for 20 minutes now!!! I think there should be a class action lawsuit for fraud!!

I called in November to cancel my membership, the rep kept me on the phone for 5-10 minutes trying to convince me to stay and lower my package. After several times of me telling him no thank you my bank offers the same service he still failed to cancel my membership resulting in 120 worth of fees taking out. They refused to reimburse me after seeing that I had not access or used their website since Nov. This company is a rip off!

Never in my life have I’ve ever been spoken to so rudely by customer service representatives. I can’t even imagine that these women were considered to be supervisors. I definitely do not recommend spending $29.99 per month with this company.

Signed up for 7 day free trial. Called and sent letter to cancel immediately. Received email confirmation of cancellation of my account. They still charged my account. Was another 30 min ordeal in connection with my bank to cancel the account. Hoping no charges show up next month!

Unable to cancel monitoring service. The Phone disconnects when you select "Cancel Membership" Option. Wish I had read reviews on web before signing up for $1 membership with monthly trail. I called my credit card company and blocked any further charges.

The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I am incredibly baffled. They purposely make you wait more than 45 minutes to cancel a membership. I WAITED ONE HOUR for a grumpy representative to pick up, and then put me on hold, and THEN HANG UP ON ME!

Wouldn't let me cancel, as the fine print to do so was really buried in the fine print. Then wouldn't give me my three credit reports. Will turn them into the BBB, Consumer Finance Board and my state attorney general. BIG RIPOFF!!!
