Genisys Credit Union does not charge an annual fee to hold one of its cards, which can save customers hundreds of dollars each year.

Security Measures

Like many financial institutions, Genisys Credit Union has started to equip each of its credit cards with chip technology, which results in more secure transactions and gives customers greater peace of mind. Genisys Credit Union also has a number of other security measures in place, including the CardNav mobile app, which will alert cardholders if their card is being used outside of a set GPS location, if card use frequency has increased, and if the transaction limit is reached.

Rewards Program

Genisys Credit Union offers a rewards program that allows cardholders to earn points for every purchase made with their credit card. These points can then be redeemed for a number of rewards of the cardholder's choosing.

Limited Card Options

Unfortunately, Genisys Credit Union only provides two credit cards for members to choose from-the Genisys Rewards Credit MasterCard and the Genisys Platinum Credit MasterCard. Although each of these cards offer a number of features, both options are very similar to each other. The only large difference between the two cards is that one provides a rewards program and the other does not. This lack of variety limits the consumer's ability to select a card that covers all of their needs.

No Free Credit Score Tracking

Some credit card companies provide their cardholders with free credit score monitoring to help them stay on top of their credit and look for areas where they can improve. Sadly, Genisys Credit Union does not offer this service.
