Goodwill

Dont donate to Goodwill, they treat your items like garbage, many broken by throwing into bins and heaped on each other. They pay their CEO and upper mgmt exhorbitant amounts while using little to fund any programs. Their workers are paid poverty prices.

Most cities I’m assuming have a Goodwill store in them. A non profit organization that one can take their items they no longer want, left over garage sale items, estate sale items left over, etc. I have been a donating to Goodwill in whatever city’s we have lived in since I was in my 20’s and I’m now age 70. In like the fact that they have great items from housewares, clothes, ALL types of books to choose from at crazy low prices, and furniture. I’m also like the fact that Goodwill Industries trains employees with disabilities to help inside their stores. This is a wonderful program and opportunity for these employees. I like the fact that they will come to my home and pick up large items such as furniture, and my past mother in laws leftover estate items which were many. Not having a truck really saved my husband and I from having to rent one and pack it up ourselves. The city we live in now used to have two locations, but we now only have one and it is always busy. .

Inflation dragging you down? Goodwill is the Inflation Destroyer!! I think a lot of folks took their direct physical shopping to the bare essential stores during Covid. I think we ended up overlooking a lot of safe shopping options. But, at some point a very smart management team decided to make Goodwill a 'real, modern' shopping experience. And they really have! My Goodwill on Austin Bluffs in Colo. Springs, Co. does a Great job. How hard they work certainly shows. They do beautiful end caps and the displays use available merchandise. Clothing is displayed coherently by style, size, and color when possible. At my Store the donations reflect a 'comfortable' donor demographic...nice stuff that they could have Craig's Listed, but donated instead. Great values and ..no joke.. it's a new store every day. Value and excitement, hard to beat that! Thanks Goodwill.

I love how Goodwill takes in donated items and resells them to people instead of throwing them into the trash. As the saying goes "one person's trash is another man's treasure". I will never throw away any of my old clothes and make sure I donate them because they could have a better purpose. I also love that you can donate more than clothes to Goodwill like old movies, shoes, and home decor. I also love to shop at Goodwill because they sell things for very cheap and most of the time it is fairly good quality. I do recommend though to donate your old clothes to have a better purpose because maybe they can go to a family in need.

i used goodwill thrift stores to buy all sorts of things for years, both in Maryland and in Florida, we donate as well as shop. Some items are brand new with tags still on them . They are a kind and reputable charity and the store are clean and efficient. when i moved to Florida, i needed to find new employment and Goddwill has a carreer center as well. i had never seen thin in Maryland except maybe a CHIMES program for mental challenged adults. The Goodwill offered job search, resume writing and a reintroduction program for incarcerated people. they had all kinds of work shops and meetings for tax filing assistance and applying to work on the census or improve computer skills, interviewing and transportation help. I could not believe the wealth of services they offered , even made some great friends there. when i took an all day class for computers, they provided a pizza lunch with sodas and a $25 gift certificate to use for professional clothing at the goodwill thrift stores. I did find a very good job and upon showng them my work credentials, i was given another $25 cert. Then COVID came and really slowed things down, my job ended and the goodwill career center closed as well- it is very sad to see how the pandemic affected this type of service- they offered such valuable tools to no one who does not want to use them now.

We love donating clothes, furniture, books and anything else we no longer use or need. Everyone that works in the donation part of the company is friendly and extremely helpful. I love how they help those that normally wouldn't be hired because of their past get jobs and education. Although I don't like shopping at Goodwill my wife and daughters love going at least once a month to find hidden treasures. ITs a great place for teachers to find supplies or those that do crafts. We find a lot of good baskets there and some cool one of a kind presents for White Elephant Gift Exchanges.

I shop at the Goodwill in Marysville, MI. The main reason is because of the staff there. They are super friendly and very helpful. Jennifer especially goes out of her way to help. If I am looking for an item in particular, she will hunt for it until she finds one for me to look at. Great customer service!!! And there are always lots of goodies to look at!!

I really love our local Good Will. They have a drive thru where you can drive up, they come out with a cart and grab your donations for you. It is so convenient and easy. I also love that they hire special needs adults. Way to go, Good Will!! A++++++++++

I love the treasure hunt that is Goodwill! You do have to look for something that fits your style, but that's part of the fun of it! I love the uniqueness of the peices you do find as well and the story behind them. Overall, I would come back and bring my friends as well. This place is comparable to Deseret Industries and has great prices for what they sell, though I would advise if you buy clothes to wash them before you use them.

I always enjoy looking for deals while shopping at Goodwill. You never know what you may find. I was looking for vintage tea cups to add to my collection and found several perfect ones at a very good price after visiting several Goodwills around town.

I shop at Goodwill quite often because it is conveniently close to where I usually shop. Their store is well organized and has an abundance of inventory . I like that they have a 50% discount on any item that has a certain colored price tag. I feel that their prices could definately be lower since all their clothes are donated . Overall , it’s great that they are repurposing instead of filling landfills.

Great deals. And if you donate you get credit for that on your taxes. Great charitable company that serves the community beyond just reselling items. They offer employment for people that need a job.Hires within for job placements.A++

Goodwill provides assistance in many ways to the entire community. They are generous, resourceful and reliable. My daughter likes to browse their selections in store and is never disappointed with treasures she finds - some items are new with tags. Goodwill can be counted on to help people in need, so it's a pleasure to shop at their locations.

Goodwill is hit or miss depending on the area you’re in. Sometimes they’re well maintained and sometimes they aren’t. It all depends. My general feeling is that I’ve often found great clothing pieces and books at goodwill and I haven’t had any issues with bedbugs or lice etc I like that they provide carts for ease of shopping and I’ve always found the staff to be kind.

I know they are privately owned and they don't give back quite as much as some of the other organizations but they do give back to the community to individuals to families. And what do they say ones manage junk is another man's treasure. They also have one of the best business plans and business models out there

I volunteer as an assistant to help homeless veterans transition to suitable living. I have developed a healthy relationship with the Goodwill to help. My experience with the Goodwill is extremely valuable. The Goodwill has been consistent with providing amazingly affordable products for households, but is a valuable go-to for clothing, furniture, and other things to help with transitioning. I couldn't ask for better empathetic employees, respectfulness, quality products and services, and reasonable prices.

Goodwill is a helpful foundation for the community. I’ve used this establishment to purchase clothing and household items. I also donated merchandise knowing it will get into the hands of those in need. The stores I’ve visited really work and take pride in keeping the products in order and areas stocked. This is an important charitable organization to support! A good opportunity for a job as well.

Goodwill this is a blessing of a place not only can you bring clothes here to donate you can take some clothes for yourself if you need them amazing idea I love to go to here often you'll find a lot of nice clothing shoes sometimes some toys

I have grown to appreciate places like Goodwill. My mother has always been a frequent shopper at Goodwill. I've found some great buys on items that I did not intend to find yet they were great deals. I've been fortunate to donate and patronize Goodwill regularly.

I have donated to Goodwill on several occasions, I think it is great place to donate to! I also shop their every now and then- always finding great deals! The employees are always so nice and willing to help the customers. It is a great environment.

I love both shopping from and giving to goodwill. I think it is a good company with a good cause plus it provides me with the service of getting rid of some now unneeded item as well as allowing me to purchase things from the for cents on the dollar. I have even bought some textbooks from school from Goodwill

I believe in what Goodwill stands for providing used goods/products that are sold to bring in revenue to help those who are down on their luck and need a hand up out of of their pit of despair. I believe in the people who volunteer their time to help those who need it.

Goodwill is a hero among charities. They make it easy to donate and to buy from. I appreciate their clean stores, value pricing, and their whole-hearted effort to help others. As a charity, it is a great example of what is good in this world!

Goodwill is easy to donate to, just drop off any household items or clothing that you no longer use. It's a great way to clean out your closets and cupboards and help people in your community. Goodwill usually has stores conveniently located in most cities. Goodwill stores also help people purchase used items at a fraction of the cost of new.

Goodwill has, for many years, supplied me with cheap, nice clothes. I consider myself a fashionable person, and I personally consider Goodwill a goldmine for cute clothing. The clothes are cheap, well sorted, and I can’t recall a bad experience with any of the workers. Overall, a wonderful store for people with less money.

Good will is a great company they are all about reusing clothing, furniture, book and ect. They make sure their products are good enough to sell. They have great employees. Everytime I go in good will they don't judge you and give you advice for sales. They have high price and vintage clothing for a reasonable price.

Goodwill is a great place for purchasing clothes in bulks. The idea of used clothes being in good condition seemed unreal to me. Now, I enjoy shopping there. There are a variety of clothing options to choose from. From more casual to business professional. Goodwill has at all and their display is well thought out by caring staff.

I love goodwill. I have found kitchen supplies, clothes, books, furniture, etc. There is a goodwill near my house and my dad loves to go there. Very organized and a variety of selection. Sales Associates have been very friendly!

Recently, I took two plastic sleds to my local Goodwill store. The donation attendant told me they could not take the first one, because there was a crack in it---the crack being one or two inches long, and there were no grip handles on the side, although my children still used it without handles. To be honest, I did not notice the crack until she pointed it out. The second sled was a little dirty, (probably a matter of five minutes with a soapy cloth)and she said they had no time to clean it, and besides the "Millenials" would want something a little more modern. I looked on WalMart's website, and the sled that I was offering was very similar to one being sold for $25. So I'm not sure what the "Millenials" comment was about---perhaps they look like Batmobile for a racing type. What about families that can't afford $40 or$50 for a more modern sled. Then she suggested taking them to the Salvation Army, as they were not as "picky" as Goodwill. I've donated many items to Goodwill in the past, and have never had any of the attendants refuse items. Is this a new policy--or was the attendant out of line?

Goodwill Industries Human Resources is a testament of how society has degraded. Goodwill is classic socialistic culture. All they do is process new employees and then they usually fire them. Goodwill Industries protects their massive scheme with Human Resources. They can't have Federal / State auditors snooping around and exposing their true nature. HR never answers the phone for regular people needing help. HR has been helping managers get rid of people for a long time. Human resources are simply there to execute the hidden general managers narcissistic agenda. HR helps management through bullying, manipulation and lack of support. Human Resources protects the infrastructure at all costs, just like financial cowards do. Recycling employees is much cheaper than keeping good ones. This liberal non-profit wants you to give them your unwanted resources in the name of human integrity. This culture in embedded under sanctuary city policies. HR must follow this upper management agenda or they themselves will be fired. HR is paid much higher than employees. Goodwill claimed to provide services to individuals which has raised concerns about the exploitation of social service programs. Managers and HR terminate employees AT-WILL while instructing other employees to remain silent. Exploiting lives through the power of greed. Good job everyone. Managers never last long, they come and go. Goodwill finances are not transparent in helping the community, also how money is spent on marketing and salaries. They have safety training videos because of State mandates, but training employees on a specific job consists of figure it out or your fired. Embrace ambiquity and chaos because that's what Goodwill is. Goodwill is not looking for talent, they are always looking for new employee exploites. Goodwill is counting on a high turn over rate because it saves money resulting in higher year end bonuses. Goodwill wants the public to think they are helping society. They are really ingenious about recycling people disguised as a hand up. It's hard work convincing society your the solution that your helping humanities problems. Assistant managers must follow the General managers lead or get fired. All the employees that have real Integrity will eventually quit or get fired. Employees are frastrated by the lack of management support. GMs leave it up to the assistant managers which are poorly trained. Migrants are clueless how this country works. Migrants want to earn dollars to take back to their country of orgin. They don't care for our cultural believes. Employees lives are in danger because of lack of security. Security cost money so there will be none. Donating people, shoppers and homeless are allowed to steal, but employees are taught to ignore it. Employees are put in a dangerous position, because they cannot confront thiefs for fear of being fired. AT-WILL Texas policy allows employers to terminate any employee, undermining workers rights. This lack of democracy in the workplace keeps wage low while reducing labor costs. Goodwill's only goal is make more money, using fake empathy. There is arrogance, ignorance, incompitance, jealously, greed and vanity everywhere. Helping destroy lives through the power of work. POTUS will clean up this sanctuary NPO in this sanctuary city. Good job everyone Keep donating, shopping and working at Goodwill. There is always another desperate soul to be exploited. This organization brags about 80 years in business. However the Goodwill's intended philosophy from the past has evolved today into a corrupted parasite of greed. The best part of this organization is their willingness to provide court referral programs as volunteer work and they love free labor. The Goodwill pricing game are cell phones and price points some hillbilly made up. When truth taps their souls, they finally get it. Potus is cleaning up fraud, waste and abuse and this San Antonio sanctuary city is next. Good job everyone.

I've been shopping at Goodwill for years I've also been a Goodwill donations supporter. Lately their prices are getting higher and higher. So the value is starting to shrink some but you can find a wide array of things there.

My experience with Goodwill has been great! I have purchased from them and donated to them. I have been able to easily find things I am looking for if they have them and prices have been clearly marked. Prices seem to be fair and the employees have always been kind to me.

I like going to Goodwill BUT I don't like the trick mirrors in all their fitting rooms which make things look better when you're trying it on in the store, then when you get home and put it on, it doesn't look as good in a normal mirror. If that's not bad enough, here's the kicker, a lot of stores are no longer allowing you to return clothing. None of that should be allowed! It's basically robbing people.

This charity organization has been very reliable and I appreciate its transparency with where funds and donations go. It is my go-to for donations and I like that about 82 cents of every dollar end up going to charity.

My favorite thrift shop. I alway look for them when I'm out of town and find the best treasures. I love that they support veterans and employ them. I make donations as well as shop.

On my recent visit to Goodwill, the store was clean, the shelves were well organized, and the prices were reasonable. Overall, my experience was positive, and I would most definitely shop at Goodwill again.

Growing up it was always reinforced to me to give to others, and Goodwill was one of those charities that was respected in our community that gave back to underprivileged, provided educational and employment teaching opportunities, and gave back more than they received. Thus, the 2 stars- otherwise it would be 1 star. Unbeknownst to me, Goodwill is now a franchise opportunity. The Goodwill thrift shop in the town next to me- the owner is a multi-millionaire based on owning these stores. The prices in the thrift stores are outrageous and I am not sure how people down on their luck afford to buy badly needed clothing items for their family. It saddens me that Goodwill has become focused on profit versus giving back to the community.

My family and I recently became homeless was unable to buy a pair of school shoes for my daughter and goodwill cashier was amazing the lady paid for them out of their own pocket I only had to pay $2

they have stuff, some good, but the evil of the company takes away from the good parts. Honestly, I have found some very good items. Apparently I have to have a more accurate description of them, but I don't really see how anyone doesn't know what a goodwill is. Like. We all know that they are corrupt and they have massive lawsuits against them. I was just trying to give them a average review.

Goodwill is a great place to find good stuff for cheap. I love to treasure hunt in there. It’s also a good place to donate so other people can get the items you no long need. Happy hunting!

Goodwill is awesome! They use some of their profits to help employ those who need extra assistance. Their prices are fair for what you are paying for and the stores are kept clean.

Today 03/21 I went to Goodwill in Lebanon, I found this used basket in regular condition for $5.99 which was a very high price, I went to talk to an employee thinking someone may make a mistake. The person was extremely disrespectful and rude. She told me just let the basket there someone else will buy it..and we are not going to change the price!..I wasn't going to buy it or ask her to change the price pAs a manager my whole life, I can tell you, some prices are wrong for the condition of the items..and this specific girl..doesn't have any clue about customer service, I would never donate to This company again

I've shopped and donated to Goodwill for years and I also used their employment help service they had . There have been times in my life when I've had nothing and had to go to a Goodwill and they would give me clothes and shoes for my job interview which I didn't have. I love that you can find the most interesting things.there too.

You can usually find some very good prices in a thrift store. Goodwill has gone downhill in the past few years and I haven't been in one in probably 10 years now. Why? When I used to go once or twice a month? Because my husband needed a pair of jeans and we went to Goodwill. There was a pair of jean there, brand new, still had the tags, Walmart price big as life, had been marked down to $9.99 at Walmart. Goodwill was selling them for $12.99. I knew that was the wrong price but when he picked up another pair, tags from Walmart showed a mark down to $7.00 and Goodwill was selling them for $9.00. So, we left and went to Walmart and looked at the markdowns. Found much better deals than they had at Goodwill.

I have been taking my donations to Goodwill for years and recently stopped because of an incident that I witnessed in the store. A Mother was buying a winter jacket for her daughter and was a couple dollars short. The clerk was so rude as the lady tried to dig in her purse to find the extra money. The gentleman behind her gave the mom the money to help her out… but in my mind, I would think that since literally everything is donated to them, the clerk could had asked her manager to discount the coat for her. It was just overwhelming for me to see the clerk be so rude while the lady was obviously struggling.

I like Goodwill, they have a good selection of things to choose from and they have great locations for you to donate your items too. The only problem is that the CEO makes WAY too much money for a company that is supposed to be helping others. That's NOT good will at all!!!!!! I understand wanting to make money and provide for your family but the CEO makes millions or billions while so many other suffer to make ends meet.

Good will is a wonderful company to donate your belongings to. They take almost anything, and put it all at a very reasonable price. All of their clothes are in good quality for being used.
