Ram ponnam Canton, MI

I have leased two chevy equinoxes and set up the auto payments on both of them and I have been relying on auto payments for many years. I did the same for my 3 equinoxes prior to this lease. I was reviewing the credit score and found that 120 points down and upon reviewing the report there was one late payment with a late payment due amount of $6000 plus where as that supposed to be under $200. Upon contacting GM financial I was told that the system automatically cancelled as one of the auto pay setup amount was $10 less than the due amount. Tthe autopay always by default selects the first option of ‘pay the next due amount’ which should pick the actual monthly payment. If at all thats an issue the system should right away reject the setup upon submit or I should get notified first via email or postal mail. The agent tells me that I got notified via email and asked me to check junk folder but he was not able to tell me when did they send. I clearly see that he lied about it as he wants to close the call and denied to connect to the supervisor. More over the autopay worked for 4 payments already before cancelling. I never had late payment in the last 18 years of my credit history and this screwedup big time my score. An issue exists in their system and no one at GM cares about it and all they say is it is your responsibility to check thise details. They are not getting the point of what is it that I get benefit upon setting $10 less than the actual amount. As a customer for 9 years they should check my pay history and think logically but they are so irresponsible and so ridiculous. GM financial screwed up my 18 year built credit history with their system issue. Never going to refer GM to any one.

Terrible end of lease policies. No forgiveness for anything that does not benefit them. No allowance for unused miles or new tires but charge for every tiny picky thing.
