The Good

  • Financial Tools
  • Advantages
  • Additional Loan Options

Financial Tools

Ford Credit supplies basic online information to help you calculate the best loan option for your new Ford vehicle. They offer financial tools such as budget calculators, payment estimations, and credit tests. Ford Credit also offers articles that give you an overview of your financial needs so you can be informed when you visit a dealership.

Advantages

  • Online financing education available
  • Credit "test run" available to estimate ability to qualify before applying
  • Face-to-face advice from a dealership representative
  • Mobile account management
  • Online instant messaging customer service
  • Excellent customer service ratings
  • Extended service plans available

Additional Loan Options

Not only does Ford offer these great options, but you can add different options into your loan at the dealership. This means you can include aftermarket accessories, extended service plans, rustproofing, or sealant packages into the total amount financed. Additionally, Ford Credit offers an online pre-approval email so your trip to the dealership can be as quick as possible.

The Bad

  • Loan Restrictions
  • Disadvantages
  • Lacks Money Management Software
  • Lack of Transparency

Loan Restrictions

First thing to keep in mind, if you are looking to qualify for a loan from Ford Credit you must purchase a vehicle from a certified Ford dealership. Additionally, Ford Credits website has a lot of information to prepare you for taking out a loan. However, no concrete loan information will be disclosed until you visit a Ford dealership.

Disadvantages

  • No online loan application
  • Acquisition Fee (dealership fee) is included in the vehicle purchase cost
  • No advertised promotional deals to help save a little extra money
  • Minimal payment information disclosed until you meet with a salesperson
  • No money management software

Lacks Money Management Software

Although Ford Credit offers a reliable credit option through Ford Motors, it lacks the money management software and other associated financial perks that a bank or credit union would supply. Your APR will depend on your experience at your local Ford dealership. Often times the sales environment of a dealership causes people to agree to loan options that might not be the best for them.

Lack of Transparency

Ford Credit is missing a great deal of information on their website. It is difficult for potential customers to make a decision based on the lack of information given on the website. It is also difficult for our team to rank their services in the industry. We would like to see more information regarding possible APRs, loan terms, loan amounts, application fees, and etc.

gavel

The Bottom Line

Ford Credit has some great advantages such as their financial tools, and great customer service. However, their total lack of transparency, and loan restrictions causes us some concern. We would like to see Ford Credit be more up-front about their APR, loan terms, loan amounts, and application fees. For these reasons, we do not recommend using Ford Credit at this time.

Genuinely the most incompetent and lazy company I've ever had to deal with. After sending in a request for a lease extension on my car, I was told I would be sent a lease renewal notice. Never received it. Turns out whoever "filed" this request actually didn't, resulting in my car being wrongly repo-ed from my place of work days later without any warning, phone call, notification whatsoever. Upon calling Ford Credit, they realized that they had indeed failed to even check my file before taking my car. Now that they've *finally* confirmed my lease extension as they were originally supposed to, I'm having to wait for God knows how long for them to actually process my payment (which was sent days ago), resulting in additional days and expenses in the tow lot AND additional days paying for a rental car. I've had Fords for years but after having to deal with Ford Credit I'm trading in my car as soon as I possibly can. Truly despicable excuse for customer service that I never want to experience ever again.

I used to be a loyal FORD ONLY customer- never shopped anywhere else for years. In July of 2009 I suffered a fall off of a roof and was severely injured. At the time I was a self employed Builder. I required multipole surgeries and was not able to work and tole by my surgeon I would never use my right arm again. I struggled during the recession in 2008 as everyone did and somehow managed to keep my truck and payments. With this accident, I had zero income for months. The only thing Ford would do is add 2 months to the end of my term. I basically begged the local dealer and Ford Credit to help- I simply could not make payments let alone feed my family. They refused any help at all and I finally told them I had no choice but to voluntarily surrender the vehicle. I was told to drop off at any location and dropped off at a local used car dealer and provided them all information. This was Jan of 2010- the truck sat there through a very harsh winter for 6 months before Ford finally picked it up. Months later I was back to work and I was suddenly hit with a garnishment and a judgement for basically the entire amount of the loan. They never provided any information about what they sold the truck for, recovery etc. I was blindsided. Garnishments continued and somehow I managed to get back on my feet again through hard work and ambition. I was able to get the garnishment to stop and thought this entire issue was behind me until now. Ford has now appeared out of no where and placed a hold on our Checking and savings accounts just a few days before Christmas. I would also add our home was directly hit by Hurricane Ian and we are still waiting to have our roof replaced and over $100,000 in repairs. Our insurance paid about 1/4 of what we need- that was in the bank which Ford has been allowed to place a legal hold on. Ford is absolutely the lowest form of anything human left on this earth. Not only have they blocked our funds at Christmas time- they took the insurance money needed for repairs to our home. I would also like to add I had at least 6 previous loans or leases paid in full with Ford prior to this. Anyone and everyone who works for this company should be completely ashamed of themselves- nothing but a perfect example of American Greed. ...

Let me say I've been an avid Ford guy since I can remember and Have 6 Ford trucks in my business now. I've used Ford Credit numerous times on Auto Purchases. Just finished off the last one about a year ago. needless to say after 71 payments and not 100% sure exactly as for the reason but the last payment was missed. needless to say my credit went down 100 point as I ended up being late. I've asked them to please take it off my credit as it was an honest mistake, but they have said no. So after 30 years it looks like I'll be buying a Chevy before the end of the year. Kind of sad as I've been an avid Ford owner

I paid off my Ford Ranger with Ford Credit 10 years ago. I thought I had lost the title and went to DMV to get a replacement. They informed me that Ford Credit still had my title. I had to call Ford Credit and they indicated that the truck was a 1996 they had no title. Sent me a no interest letter. Now I have to go back to DMV in the long wait and order another title. 1. How does a major company get away with the unethical practice of holding someone's title for 10 years after paying it off? 2. Again, the consumer has to make the sacrifice, because the corporation drops the ball. There should be some class action against this company...looks like this is a common problem for consumers.

This is for Ford Credit customer service, after payoff it took me 3 months to receive a title, and this was after calling and talking to them almost daily. They told me I had to open a FedEx account then they charged that account $150 to FedEx me a copy (without telling me). After payoff the title should of came aromatically but going into the 4th month, I offered to pay shipping and all of a sudden, my title appeared overnight, and I was charged $150. I have tried many times to get reimbursed to no success. Ford credit customer service reps. are the most incompetent idiots I have ever dealt with in my life of conducting business and I am 60.

I will start by saying Ford Credit has one of the worst customers services reps and slowest online process payment system I ever came across. I’ve had no problem with them for the last 6 years until recent. First thing first when they used to process a payment it took no more then up to the next business day then it became 2 weeks. The money wouldn’t come out my bank account and would be return causing my payment to be late. This happened for my last 3 payments! When I spoke to a rep (Tracey) to solve the issue she spoke to me very aggressive, unprofessional and was being extremely rude on the phone. To the point I got nothing solved until I spoke to higher up and complain about how I was treated simply for wanted to get clarity on my account. This will be my last car with ford I’d rather take my service and money to a more professional and value customer space. This was the worst over the phone experience I ever had! I would highly recommend them to properly train their reps as it make Ford as a brand look terrible!

I took at a loan for a 2021 Mustang on 7/30/21 with a 785 credit score. Ford credit had to run my credit a second time, and have me come back to the dealership to do paperwork a second time even though I was approved on 7/30/21 and I pick the car up on that day. My credit score went down 60 points over the past month and I couldn't figure out why, until I got a Ford credit declined letter on 9/11. I called Ford Credit to confirm that I was approved and they confirmed that I was. I asked them to fix my credit and there mistake and they refused. I called Essential Fordin Stuart FL. where we bought the car and they have not gotten back to me with any help or answers. I am looking to get a mortgage and now I will have to pay tens of thousands of dollars extra in interest cost because of Ford Credits mistake. I think that I need to call an attorney. Terrible

I leased a SUV in 2020. Initially I had to reach out because the cars stereo / music system would not work. or it would shut off at random intervals. I have paid my bill every month on time. My bill has been over $600.00 The service that I received from the credit department has been astonishingly disrespectful and utterly unacceptable. Because of the service that I received I would never ever refer anyone to go through Ford for leasing or anything else for that matter. I am ashamed and disgraced that I even did business with the company. The customer service for this company needs to drastically improve!

I have purchased/leased many cars in my lifetime and have never had issues with a trade payoff like we had with Ford. Traded a leased 2018 Edge on a 2021 GMC Acadia Denali. Trying to get the lease buyout amount was an all day affair. Ford Credit wouldn't give it only the originating dealer. Then my dealer was told the buyout had to go to the originating dealer, who then proceeded to hold onto my dealer's Cashiers check for 10 days "just to make sure it clears". Unbelievable! Almost a month to complete the buyout. When I traded a GM vehicle for a Ford, the payoff went to GMAC, not to a dealer, and was processed immediately. Never again will I buy another Ford - I realize I could finance through a bank, but their credit arm not only cost them my credit business but my vehicle purchase business as well.

Ford Credit used an incorrect mailing address when mailing my payment notices, (their mistake) but did not contact me go get the correct info, even though the notices were returned to them (which they admitted). They called me when the first payment was overdue, demanding payment. I made 2 payments over the phone, corrected the wrong address info, then received a demand letter in the mail a few days later. They finally agreed to waive the late fee after another telephone call, but the negative report on my credit score remains. Now I am getting a notice of Rewards Points via email, which has some small value, I suppose. However, all that positive is counteracted by what appears to be a deliberate and vulgar misspelling of my name. Overall, this experience has been quite disappointing when compared to my previous experience with them.

my banking institute verified payoff and sent it to Ford. Two months later Ford sends me a bill for zero dollars. It seems weird so i call in. They say their is interest because of when they received the payoff. My bank shows they received ten days before they cashed it. Second, first phone call the CSA says he can see their mistake and he will get back to me. One month later another zero dollar bill. Called again and now it’s my fault. Both the customer service agent and her manager continually talked over me. Five new ford’s over the past five years and based on how they treat me, never again. Ford is dead to me.

The most unprofessional customer support I have ever dealt with. They do not hire off qualifications, they hire for other reasons that you find out when he continue to call for help. After not receiving help after calling 100 times I went to a dealership that said they will help. They were so nice, until they scammed me and put a 3000 dollar warranty on my car by forcing me to sign a piece of paper. I plan on calling a lawyer, this has been an absolute money gauge. If your going to gauge my money, you would think they would be happy with the money and help me. It’s the opposite, Ford credit does what they do best and that is just sit there and do nothing until they feel like it. The dont update anything, try to look up anything, they sit there thinking about what they are gonna do when they get home. Maybe there would not be all these people hurt and giving real 1 star reviews if Ford credit hired qualified people instead of by demographics.

Stay FAR FAR away from Ford Motor Credit! I would not even give one star! I wish I had reviewed this finance company before I purchased my EDGE! (and god forbid if you lease a Ford, please make sure you know how they work it at the end! ) Please do not use them. WORST auto finance company I have EVER dealt with ( and I have dealt with a lot.). They will harass you non stop! 1. Unprofessional 2. LIARS 3. Have inconsistent policies 4. Will not work with you on a late payment (they tell you everything is fine when you call to work it out . Do NOT believe them During this pandemic, lots of people have found themselves furloughed or totally unemployed. This place so called "worked with you" until the end of July 2020. When I called at the end of July, I was told "that no longer applies after July". Basically the representative said "sorry bout your luck" I made a payment and told her I would be making another one in approx a week and asked her if that was acceptable. She assured me that it was. A few days later I started getting calls from unknown numbers. Apparently they hire people from other states to call their customers. They use the "scare tactic" to get their money. These people were very rude and intimidating. When I called back to ask why someone was calling me I was told "that is not us, we always call from a 1-800 number. Do not return a call to any of these people". Needless to say about 2 weeks later I received a letter in the mail stating that my car was scheduled for repossession in a WEEK!...I was 30 DAYS behind. REALLY!!!! I'm sure there were lots of other people that were further behind then that. Thankfully I traded in my FORD yesterday. I would NEVER use this company again even if they were the only finance company available. I would pay cash or walk. No thank you! FOUR years of harassment from them for various things was ENOUGH for me. NEVER ever again. I would not recommend them to anyone!

I paid off my car 3 years ago...THREE YEARS!!!! I go to the DMV to get a duplicate title, honestly thinking maybe I lost it or something...only to come to find out I never actually received it, because it is apparently sent "electronically"...kicker here though, I was told there is still a lien in Ford's name...again I paid off my car now 3 YEARS AGO...lovely...now I'm in a rabbit hole trying to get the lien removed, find a way to get the electronic title and sell my car (which now delays my sale, on a fully paid off car that should've been in my name the minute it was paid off!) WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESS IS THIS?!?!!?

Avoid leasing through Ford Credit. I've had two leases via Ford Credit. The first went OK BUT I rolled over into another Ford so turn in of the car was seamless. When I just turned in the last car I was not leasing another Ford. This time they hit me with $525 of 'excess' wear and tear. This car was nearly showroom perfect, what they hit me for was two NEW tires. The lease was for 36,000 miles, so in effect tires should be considered as end of life, but no, they wanted two new ones due to sidewall nicks. They don't prorate, they hit you for NEW tires. That's the first unethical behavior. The second is this. I purchased two brand new tires. The Ford dealer provided proof of purchase to Ford Credit. Two weeks later a bill arrives from Ford Credit, asking pay ment for two tires! So despite the dealer providing proof of purcahse, they CLAIMED they had no record of this (yea, right). That's ethics violation #2, especially since they now had the car in their posession. I will never ever lease another car from Ford Credit, I'd have difficulty even purchasing a Ford after this, and I'm a lifelong Ford customer.

I spoke to AMBER in the billing? department and I have never been so rudely disrespected in my entire life. She should not have a job with customers when she is nothing but rude and unfriendly. She accused me of not updating my current address, then turned around and said she had it but sent all billing to an old address they had on file and still claimed it was my fault she sent the paperwork to the wrong address. She then told me she would be sending me to collections because i never received any paperwork on an alleged outstanding bill, saying "too bad we sent it out to what we had on file" never once sending anything remotely close to a bill to my current and correct address which they have on file. My whole family works for Ford(father, grandfather, brother and sister) and we buy nothing but Ford, but after being so rudely treated by I don't believe we will ever return. She left a bad taste in my mouth, permanently. Not to mention, but shes ruined this relationship with Ford for me. No A plan is worth how terribly treated I was. I just signed on my lease a couple months ago but believe me when I say it will be the last as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully a supervisor browses through this and sees how negatively shes affecting the company.

I paid my Ford lease, they cashed my check, but didn't credit my account. I've been trying to get them to credit my account for over a month. I faxed them a copy of the check that they cashed, twice. They haven't been able to fix this issue, I've talked to a dozen reps, nobody can do anything. They keep saying they applied my check to a different account and they need to move the money around. Honestly, that shouldn't matter to my account, they took my money (and I sent them proof) and it shouldn't effect me what they did with it after. They are a mess, they messed up my account and are unable to fix their own issue.

I’ve been driving brand new Ford F-250 Super Duty’ diesel’s every 2-3 years for the last 10 years. My current truck is a 2018 SuperDuty Platinum. I obviously have loved these trucks and that’s why I’ve bought four in a row. After my conversation with Andrea at Ford Credit just now, I WILL NEVER BUY A FORD PRODUCT FOR AS LONG AS I’M ALIVE! I recently moved and as soon as I did I notified Ford and everyone else of my address change. 3 weeks after the move I was contacted by Ford Credit that my payment hasn’t been received. I told them I must not of received the bill and they confirmed that it was returned by the post office. I asked him if he could re send the bill immediately. He said he would but advised me to pay it as soon as I get it to avoid the bill going delinquent. Fast forward 4 days and I still haven’t received the bill so I called to find out if they sent it. Unfortunately I was talking with Andrea about it and she actually seemed happy that this was happening to me. She started telling me how she pays her bills and I should never rely on bills coming in the mail. Thanks Andrea, you’re so smart! I immediately paid the late payment and the current payment through the website. I told her I wanted a supervisor involved to listen to my first recorded conversation so that they won’t report me delinquent which will affect my credit. She called back and with a smile on her face she said, “ I’m so sorry, it looks like we don’t have any choice but to report you as delinquent“! Even though I just paid?!?! Goodbye Ford, you will never see another dollar from me and I will do my best to slaughter Ford Credit every chance I get.

I had a loan through Ford Credit and then purchased a new car through a dealership. The dealship took care of the payoff amount on my car with Ford Credit and I was told by my dealership that I would be receiving a check in the mail from Ford Credit but they did not tell me for what amount. I did receive a check in the mail and went to deposit that check. My bank then called me 3 days later to tell me that Ford Credit placed a stop on that payment. I called Ford Credit and they explained that they sent that amount to me in error. I was extremely frustrated that they did not contact me to say that the check was sent in error and I should not deposit that check. Instead, my bank called me and I needed to track down the issue. While on the phone with Ford Credit, they told me that as the consumer I should not have cashed that check and he implied that I was in the wrong because that amount was not intended for me. So, because of this, my bank has charged me fees for depositing a check that had a stop put on it and I have been blamed for Ford Credit's error.

I leased my last vehicle, a 2016 Ford Fusion from them about 3 years ago. I fell on extremely hard times and was unable to pay out the lease. I was desperate to save my credit and to keep my good standing with the company, so I asked FMC if someone could apply to take over my lease, they said yes. I had 6 people apply for this lease and all turned down. Half of them had exceptional credit. I later found out from someone who works for them that they never approve someone taking over a lease. After exhausting every resource, borrowing money and pleading with FMC, I had to return it. I called and spoke with a customer service rep that informed me that I had to return the vehicle to the dealer I purchased it from. I had to borrow money from my parents to get gas money to make the 11 hour drive to Utah from Arizona and purchase a plane ticket back. Only to find out that this was a lie and I could of taken the vehicle to any dealer. I dropped this vehicle off at the dealer the first week of January, 2017. Both myself and the dealer notified FMC that this had happened. FMC continued to call me in March asking where my vehicle was.I personally know the person at the dealer and we both had notified them on multiple occasions that the vehicle was there. Once they figured it out they called two different auction houses to pick up the vehicle, but only noted one. So when the company they had noted came to pick up the vehicle, it was gone. They filed a report with the Layton City Police Dept for a stolen vehicle. They also lead the police to believe that I had stolen my vehicle back. The police had called me on multiple occasions asking for the vehicle back and asking me just to admit I took it. I have filed to get a copy of this for you, but it may take a bit of time. Months go by and FMC gets word that my vehicle had sold at auction, from a different auction house then previously noted. My car sat for nearly 6 months before auctioned. As I am sure you know, 6 months for a car to sit and depreciate in value is huge, especially in a newer vehicle. I owed just under 10k on my lease, I find it interesting that after my car was auctioned, my remaining balance is still just under 10k. I have been working with a credit repair company to help me fix my credit after losing everything just a year ago, things were looking up, then FMC handed over my debt to a Law firm and they are treating it as a new debt and dinging my credit every month. I cannot be approved for a rental because of this. I am living in a small guest house with a 7 year old, two large dogs and a parrot. Now that I am working again I would like to move into a home more equipped for my family, but because of this I cannot. I am aware of my responsibility of signing a lease with FMC, but feel I have been cheated and bullied and I am in desperate need of your help. I have owned a ford since I was 16 years old, the local Ford Dealer was like family and they always took care of us, because of this, at almost 40 years old I continued to purchase my vehicles from this local dealership even after moving out of state. Because this dealer is honest and filled with such great people I will continue to buy and support them, but I am completed appalled by Ford Motor Credit and how I was treated.

I sent my insurance check to Ford Credit to obtain a signature since we are still paying the car and is on a Lin back in August 2017 and just yesterday I got a called back from Angela phone number 8003201459 ext#51225 staying she couldn't reach the body shop to confirm the car was repair. (I paid the mechanic "body shop" since I have small kids and need transportation and need my car as fast I could, from my pocket in cash and got it fix in tree days when I had the car accident hit and run to be more specific the guy who hit me ran away and the cops tow the car and I have the original police report) Well I spoke with Angela in 3 occasions and she was the most rude and disrespectful person that can work in customer service or financial service as per today they received our monthy payments on time NEVER LATE she had no reasons to hold my insurance check for 5months at the Ford Credit and mailed it back to us a day prior expiration. She had very bad intentions. With the check we mailed staple the invoices for repairs, the guys asked for a 600 deposit in cash and the rest later when the car was ready for which is fair knowing it was a fast service. Well Angela called me names and even had the nuts of scream at me in a three way call with the insurance once I decided to call to cancel the check since I had no responses from her in the 5months they keep the check at Ford for a signature since my husband was in the lin he sign it and mailed to them so she could easily steal our insurance check and walk away with the money we had already pay for the repairs. I asked Angela if she could give me solutions in what to do and all she continue saying was I don't want to regret my actions later... What??? Are you in the wrong position lady. So Insurance cover for total coverage we WEEE have in our cars yeah, so after the car accident INSURANCE NOT FORD issued us the check and the only thing requiered was for Ford to sign the check sent an inspector Or I could have drive it to Ford to verified the car was repair but NOT she was absolutely USELESS. This is something you ARE NOW GOING TO REGRET you said that to me on the phone in a three way call that was being recorded by my insurance when I called to cancel the check that 180days was in your possession. You are absolutly a liabiliy for FORD We my husband and I are going to stop bussiness with Ford. BE VERY CAREFUL AND THINK IT TWICE BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. When I called Ford dealer to asked for some advice the financial guy was very clear. "WE ARE HERE ONLY TO SELL YOU A CAR, AFTER THE CAR LEAVE THE DEALER YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN EVEN DURING GARANTY TIME" CAR ACCIDENTS ISN'T OUR PROBLEM CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE ONCE CUSTOMER SERVICE OH YOU GOTTA CALL FORD CREDIT AND HERE WE ARE 180DAYS AFTER AN INSURANCE CHECK HASN'T BEING ABLE TO BE CASH BECAUSE SOMEONE LOST MY INVOICE AND HAD THE NUTS TO INSULTED ME OVER THE PHONE TODAY. And just for your information Car insurances companies recorder conversations for legal purpose. She well knew she made a mistake and tried to blame me for it, SHAME ON YOU Ford Credit!!!

I wish that I would have read the reviews for Ford Credit before I setup a loan with them. There’s a reason why 87% of the people that rated them gave them a 1% satisfaction rate. We took a loan out with them in April of 2017. We sat up an auto pay through our checking account. On February 27, 2018, we decided to payoff the loan. They deducted the final payment immediately, and then on March 1st they withdrew the regular payment. When I contacted them explaining that they had taken the extra payment, they told me that it would take two business days to return the extra payment. On March 9th, I received the title for the vehicle in the mail. When I called Ford Credit to inquire why the extra payment had not been returned, they said that they needed to make sure that they received the final payment. I told them that the vehicle must be paid in full because I received the title in the mail today. It’s amazing that if I would have been late with a payment, they would charge a fee for late payments, but it’s ok if they take nearly two weeks to return a customer’s money.

Not a military friendly company. I called Ford Motor Credit because I needed an authorization from the lien holder in order to ship my vehicle back to the U.S. I have done this process about 3 times with USAA and I instantly got the letter. It has taken Ford more than a week and I still dont have the authorization. It took them 3 business day to upload an application to my account. I uploaded their requested documents right away. 2 days later, I had to call to ask about the status only to find out that they needed somethig else and had not informed me. This company needs a lot more experience when working with military. Requesting references and the new address from the place you are moving to is difficult since you won't really know your address until you get there. Also, no one really knows you. They are an extra headache when you are trying to conduct a move for military reasons.

Ford Motor Credit is attempting to charge me a $100 fee for a "speeding ticket" on my vehicle. Ford notified me of the ticket and I proceeded to immediately contest the ticket. About 30 days afterwards, I find the fee of $100 on my account. I called Ford and notified them that it was my intention to contest the ticket and that by them having paid it, they are precluding me from being able to continue with the contestment. After waiting for over 8 days for a supervisor to contact me, I just spoke to Miguel Samianiego who was very disrespectful, called me a liar, and told me that he will not remove the fee. I told Mr. Samianiego that I will use this to end my lease and proceed to file in small claims court and that I would be mentioning him by name and he stated "Go ahead and do it, I'm writing it down." I have never been so disrespected when dealing with another company and I want the fee removed. I followed the instructions on the letter to call the jurisdiction to contest the ticket and Ford proceeded to pay the ticket and attempt to charge me for it. The letter contained a typo which confused me and even after having admitted to the mistake, Mr. Samieaniego refuses to eliminate the fee. I will not pay the ticket and I want it removed. I also want Samianiego held accountable for his disrespect and actions.

Ok here is my story with Ford. So back in 2003 I had purchased a 2003 Kia Rio from Rosemurgy motors (now out of business, also promised services at a discounted rate that were never honored). I had lost my job in 2004 but found another job that paid very little but enough to put money in for the car, I eventually found another job that made more money and was catching up. I had one final check in the mail to catch up what I was behind when Ford motor repossessed my car, or tried to (they could not find the car because I moved). They also took my Co-signer to court. I had a 5 year loan with Ford Motor Credit and the final payment on the loan was made in 2006, I was 1 1/2 years early (I always pay more then the minimum payment). Now today, I have sold the Kia and bought a smart car. However there was an undiscovered filing fee of $5 with marathon city clerk that was not paid. They need a letter of satisfied judgment from Ford motor Credit because a letter stating there is no interest or lein on the vehicle is not enough (from a previous time spending hours on the phone with them). So I called Ford Motor Credit trying to get to someone that could help me get this form to bring in and pay $5. After hours on the phone talking to several people They told me I need to go talk to my cosigners lawyer and get another form to send to them in order to get the letter of satisfaction from Ford motor credit to bring to marathon county to pay the $5. Also they have no record of me ever buying a car from them and cannot find the account by my name, social security number, or the VIN of the car. Because of the attempted repossession of the Kia, and taking my cosigner to court knowing the final check to catch up was in the mail I always kept them informed (not to mention calling me six or more times a day every day starting at 8am) Ford motor credit has lost my business for life, and I will not buy a ford car either.

I paid off my truck 12/5/22. Was informed my over payment wouldn't be sent till 12/19/22. They still haven't cut a check for my over payment as of 12/20/22. I requested them to overnight since they have delayed my payment it was refused. Now it will be almost 25 days till I get a check if not longer. This is very shady of this company to treat me this way. I made my payment on time with no issues 🤪. This multi-billion dollar company can't even process a refund in a timely manner.

Me and my wife purchased a 2016 Ford Taurus back in 2016 and came through hard times the car was repoed was returned in mint condition and ever since they have been reporting to the credit bureau that I'm late on a payment on a car that I no longer have it's just to keep my credit score low what a sorry way to do business I would not recommend Ford Motor Credit to anyone!

Every single person at their call center is an undereducated man with zero customer service skills. It’s like talking to a teenage boy about why he overcharged me for newspaper delivery. For context, they deferred my payments due to COVID19 but changed me anyway which left my account in the negative, with nothing to feed my babies. They are refusing to help me during a global pandemic.

During this time of Crisis ( Corona Virus), you charge an arm and a leg for deferment fee to lessees. Horrible! Other car company creditors are offering 6 months payment waiver at no cost. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth for being a ford customer. I don't believe I will ever buy Ford again. I'm sure there are many others like me during this time of crisis.

Ford Credit did finance me, at a higher interest rate even though i paid nearly half in cash at time of purchase. if you are a day late they start calling and continue until payments are ppsted. due to the government shutdown earlier this year, i has 3 late payments, ford reported them to the credit bureausand would not consider the situation when requesting to repair the situation. This is not a customer friendly lender in my experience. Had i known how this would be I would have chose another lender.

Had hail damage on my car but since my loan was through them I was required to pay the amount out of pocket, then send them all the details for them to then send me my insurance check back. We are now almost a month into me paying $3k out of pocket and waiting for them to give me my money back. I send them information and then they change and say they need something else now. Literally been the worst experience I have ever had!

I requested details of an historical credit agreement and they sent me another customers details and copies of their correspondence to her so much for their data protection when I rang their just asked me to send the papers back to them. they then wrote to me stating any complaints regarding credit agreements are the responsibility of the dealers not ford credit.

I paid off my truck ONE MONTH ago and was promised the title "in 7 to 10 days" and still haven't seen it. I want to sell my truck as my husband is sick and we need the money, but it's hard to do when you cannot get the title YOU ARE ENTITLED TO. Ford, I hate you for this stress and panic you are putting me through. If I had the money I would sue.

One star, only because I could not give zero Stars. Avoid. six months after closing one account and opening a new one, they have "reviewed" the old account and determined that there are monies outstanding. Utter rubbish. Paperwork does not state this but it all boils down to a conversation with the agent of Ford Credit aka the dealer. Would recommend that you avoid ford credit and their dealers. A shame as the cars are good.

FORD CREDIT IS THE WORST COMPANY EVER, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE! LIKE MANY PEOPLE HAVE SAID, THE REPS ARE COLD HEARTED, RUDE, AND VERY INCONSIDERATE! A PAYMENT I MADE GOT LOST IN THE MAIL AND THEY DIDN'T CARE. THEY LOST A CUSTOMER FOREVER FOR A MEASLY $29.09 LATE FEE. I WILL NEVER LEASE OR PURCHASE A FORD CAR/TRUCK AGAIN AND NEITHER WILL ANY OF MY CHILDREN. DON'T WORRY FORD, I WILL MAKE SURE THAT I NEVER HAVE A LATE FEE AGAIN, I WILL JUST BUY/LEASE A BUICK INSTEAD....HAHAHA!!!

Their customer service is horrible. Supervisor does not return calls. 2020 F250 fuel gauge still not reading write. Truck is under warranty. Spent a week and a half in the shop at ford and still not fixed. Paid out of pocket for a rental car due to no loaners available! This has been a nightmare!

Lease buyout, Ford Credit won’t let customers out of lease as the original dealer has control of the lease. That is not customer friendly as all the Ford dealers don’t get along. You’re at the dealership s mercy and Ford Credit doesn’t care.

Absolutely shocking customer service. Staff contradicting each other and me being given incorrect and misleading information. Tried to log a formal complaint - I’ve been told I can’t. Tired to escalate it to a manager - been told I can’t. I am appalled to be perfect honest.

Financed a new vehicle in July 2020, at a dealership in Port Lavaca, Tx We both have excellent credit above 800. The finance guy - only applied thru Ford, saying we could only get 7.99%. To make a long story - short, 2 months later refinanced thru USAA at 2.85% Don't go with Ford Motor Credit - scammers.

Spoke to Ford Credit about my account on numerous occasions and they continue to be nasty, rude, and disrespectful to customer's. It does seem to predominately male's who are speaking in this tone to me about the situation. Yes...Ford Credit is sexist and if I have my son listening in on the call ....all of the sudden they respond differently.

This company has no sympathy for people that fall into hardships and need to end up voluntary surrendering your lease to them. They continue to sue you for the balance and do not care why you could no longer afford the car payments.
