Travis Credit Union

My wallet got stolen May 2019. (5) transactions happened in one day totally ~$1500 on two cards. I blocked my cards and filed a police report the same day charges started to appear. Travis Credit Union sent me a letter stating they are holding me responsible for the first $500 on each card. Yet, my bank hasn't even credit me back a single dollar and it's over a month later. This is not the first time they did NOT back me up with a fraudulent issue. Years ago I applied for an EIN (alternate tax ID for a business) on what ended up being an IRS look-a-like site imitating the IRS. I paid at least $150 to the scam site (giving all my personal info including social security number. :-/ ) An hour later my friend told me the IRS does not charge to issue EINs. I immediately went to the bank to cancel the pending transaction. Travis Credit Union REFUSED to protect me stating I authorized the sale. They paid the look-a-like site then declined my claim even though I submitted proof I had the EIN canceled (for security reasons) and had the IRS issue me a new one using the real IRS site. I received zero benefits for paying this scam site but Travis Credit Union didn't care I was scammed.
