Miku's smart baby monitor is a Wi-Fi monitor that allows parents to monitor and track their baby's sleeping and breathing patterns without placing an additional electronic device on their body. Instead, simply place the Miku Smart Baby Monitor over your baby's crib (ideally about 60 inches above the floor) and download the smartphone app. No subscription is required.

The Miku camera uses SensorFusion technology to track your baby's breathing, sound, and movement patterns. It streams at 1080p, includes a two-way audio feature, and the night vision is great for checking up on your baby without the risk of waking them up.

Safety Features

Miku's baby monitors offer a 256-bit encryption and 2-factor authentication. Plus, it has a tamper-resistant Crypto Chip to ensure your data remains secure.

Free 3-Day Shipping

Miku provides free 3-day shipping for all purchases made on the website. There are a few other shipping options, but they cost an additional fee.

45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

If you're not satisfied with your Miku smart monitor, you have 90 calendar days (from the date of purchase) or 45 days after activation — whichever comes first — to request a full refund.

Just be aware that your Miku monitor must be in like-new condition, accompanied by proof of purchase. It also has to be returned in the original packaging; otherwise, you'll have to pay a minimum $40 fee for re-packaging and re-stocking.

Finance Through Affirm

The Miku Pro smart baby monitor costs $399. However, if you can't pay for it all upfront, you have the option to finance your purchase through Affirm.

With Affirm, you can make monthly payments for as little as $34 for 12 months. However, if you don't mind paying a little more each month, you can choose a 3-month or 6-month term.

Accepts HSA/FSA

Miku's smart baby monitor is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, alleviate, or prevent any disease or health condition.

That said, you can use an FSA or HSA to purchase the monitor. Once you get to the checkout page, just enter your HSA/FSA debit card number.

If you don't have your FSA/HSA card on you, you can use another form of payment and apply for reimbursement through your plan.

Discounts

If you're a teacher, discount, nurse, first responder, or in the military, Miku offers a 10 percent discount.

The Military discount applies to any of the following:

The Bad

  • Not Ideal for Travel
  • Requires a Smartphone

Not Ideal for Travel

While you can still use the monitor if it's not attached to the wall, the Miku Smart Monitor ideally should be mounted to a wall and hang above your child's crib. Since it's generally attached to the wall, it isn't the best baby monitor to travel with.

Requires a Smartphone

Currently, Miku's smart monitor requires a smartphone.

The app cannot be used on an Apple Watch, iPad, or other tablet devices. Miku is working on this, but there is no timeframe as to when it will be available.

The Bottom Line

The Miku Pro Smart Baby Monitor is an excellent choice for new parents who want a reliable and affordable baby monitor. Miku's product comes with many great features, and we appreciate the company's dedication to safety.

The monitor isn't the greatest choice if you plan on doing a lot of traveling and want an easy, convenient travel monitor, but it will work as long as there is a decent Wi-Fi connection. It's also not the best choice for parents who prefer to have a separate viewable screen rather than using their phone.

You can purchase a Miku monitor from Amazon, Target, or on Miku's website. It costs $399, and there is no subscription fee to use the app.
