In addition, the company offers a free consultation. This is the industry standard, and you should never be expected to pay for an initial consultation with a tax relief company.

The tax professionals at Key Tax Group offer a combined 35 years of experience in the tax relief industry and have helped resolve more than $175 million in tax debt for hundreds of clients. 

The firm specializes in tax debt resolution and working with the IRS. This is helpful because often, firms will handle tax debt as one of many areas of practice, whereas Key Tax Group focuses solely on tax relief cases.

Missing Price Information

Key Tax Group does not appear to publicize any information related to its pricing. While this is fairly common in the tax relief industry, some companies do give at least a price range to help you know what you can expect to pay.

You will want to ask about pricing and payment information during your initial consultation with the company before you agree to any contract.

No Mention of Tax Preparation Services

Many tax relief companies we review offer tax preparation services in addition to tax debt relief services, but we can't find any indication that Key Tax Group can help you file your tax return or help with other needs related to your current year's taxes.

We also can't find mention of the company being able to help with unfiled tax returns, so if this tax issue affects you, we recommend you ask about it during your consultation.

Lacking Accreditations

Industries like tax relief are often regulated by independent, third-party organizations that audit companies and ensure they are complying with standards of ethics and behavior. In the tax relief industry, these organizations include the NATP and the NAEA. 

We can’t find any evidence that Key Tax Group is accredited with any of these types of third-party organizations. This doesn't mean its tax services aren't legitimate, but just that the company doesn't have a third-party stamp of approval like other top competitors do. (Optima Tax Relief, for example, is certified with the NAEA, and Tax Group Center employs CTEC certified tax professionals.)
