The Bad

  • Unknown Minimum Debt Requirement and Costs
  • Potential for Marketing Calls

Unknown Minimum Debt Requirement and Costs

You'll need to contact the company to determine eligibility requirements regarding minimum debt and other factors.

The company offers free consultations in order to establish accurate pricing information. In the meantime, it's difficult to gauge costs for Defense Tax Partners' investigation and resolution fees.

Potential for Marketing Calls

Per the terms of the company's website, those who fill out the discovery form indicate that they are open to calls and text messages from Defense Tax and other tax service partners. While these calls are presumably limited to tax-related topics, prospective customers should nonetheless be prepared for communications about relieving their tax debt.

AW

EDIT!!!! This company has reached out and made it right! I’ve been working with Heather and they’ve been completely willing to reimburse me and I’m giving them one more chance! Paid over 20K and nothing shown for it yet. Originally talked to Renee, in February 2025 I sent her ALL the documentation she requested. Which as you can imagine took us a great deal of time to compile. I hadn't heard anything than in April 2025 I followed up with Renee because I hadn't heard a word from her. She responded immediately and said she transferred my file to a tax attorney named Denise Fausto. We never heard anything from either Denise or Renee. Then in August 2025 Autumn Denning reached out and asked us to fill out all the information again. I responded that I didn't understand why I had to fill and submit all the paperwork again when I just did all of that in February 2025. She responded saying she's no longer with the company and unfortunately doesn't have access to Renee's file to retrieve the documents and that I basically would need to redo. As you can imagine my husband and I were very frustrated because we sent around $19,164.00 which almost bankrupted us. So we stopped responding to Autumn out of frustration and I had asked for a refund. She tried to reassure she would do the best she could to help. Then in early October we had a gentleman by the name of Carl reach out to my husband. My husband was working with him and responding and they seemed to have a plan and Carl promised us a lot of great things. Then he sent us a payment authorization form asking for 10k more. Jason was a little unsure why and didn't quite understand why we had to pay more, $12,500.00 more!!!!! Mind you we had already paid a total of $20,164.00 prior which is $2664.00 over our original contracted amount of $17,500.00. So we are highly confused on why now your company is requesting a grand total of $32,664.00 for your services when we don't show one single thing has even been done for us. At this point didn't want to continue on with Defense Tax and asking for some of our money back. We cant continue with paying more and more money. We became uncomfortable working with Carl as he started becoming curt with us when we tried to question why were were getting charged more. He did try to explain but we still didn't understand it. We are obviously in need of a tax service as you can see we are so extremely in debt with the IRS, which is the reason we reached out to your company in desperate need of help and we only now feel we have either been scammed or taken advantage of. At this point we could have just used the money we've paid to you to pay off some of our tax debt. I have asked for a refund from your company and awaiting to hear back.
