The Good

  • Variety of Tax Services
  • Two Step Tax Resolution
  • Experienced Staff
  • Money-Back Guarantee

Variety of Tax Services

Oxford Tax Partners offers a variety of services, including IRS audit defense, wage garnishment resolution, lien and levy removal, offer-in-compromise settlements, CNC settlements, PPIA settlements, and tax planning and preparation.

For those going through an audit, the company utilizes tax attorneys to represent clients before the IRS. A tax attorney will review the client's audit notice, gather all necessary documents, and create a step-by-step plan to improve tax situations and avoid court prosecution issued against individuals or companies.

Some of these services provided by Oxford Tax Partner's attorneys include assistance in cases of tax scam, tax scheme, and false claims made by the IRS against individuals. It provides a free consultation for clients, and then a team of tax preparers prepares the tax files.

Oxford Tax Partners asserts that its goal is to help individuals understand the tax issues that are unique to each client's situation, while also working to minimize tax liabilities.

While Oxford Tax Partners focuses on helping clients settle their IRS tax debts, they hope to help clients permanently avoid negative tax problems through what they call the OnTrack program.

The team associated with the program monitors the given tax accounts 24/7, prepares federal tax returns every year, and offers robust accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll services to their business clients. Oxford Tax Partners charges a monthly fee for this program.

The prices for individuals and families fall between $25 and $100. The number of services provided through the program depends on the chosen option. The higher the price, the greater number of services.

Costs for businesses start at $250 per month.

In addition, the Oxford Tax Partners helps both large corporations and everyday Americans complete and amend their federal returns every year, providing the following tax preparation services: preparing personal income tax returns, preparing corporate income tax returns, planning comprehensive and long-term finance and tax plans, planning AMT (Alternative Minimum Tax), planning business payroll tax, and bookkeeping.

Two Step Tax Resolution

Oxford Tax Partners has a two step tax resolution process.

The first step is to investigate the clients tax situation through a financial interview with the client and by contacting the IRS and State for tax compliance and history data.

The second step is to negotiate a resolution. Oxford Tax Partners has a Resolutions Team dedicated to this task.

Experienced Staff

Oxford Tax Partners utilizes both certified public accountants and tax attorneys to help clients resolve tax debt and save money. The company boasts that its tax attorneys and tax preparers are tenacious and work diligently on behalf of clients.

Money-Back Guarantee

If clients are unsatisfied in any way, they can receive a full refund in the first two weeks of service. For customers who are unhappy after those first two weeks have passed, Oxford Tax Partners will still return all unused retainer fees.

A money-back guarantee is a rare quality in a tax relief company and customers should pay real attention to any tax relief company that promises to lower your tax debt with a guarantee as a backup.

The Bad

  • Website Lacks Information
  • No Live Chat Feature

Website Lacks Information

Oxford Tax Partners' website view lacks transparency.

First, it does not release or explain fee information. However, since the fee is based on the amout of work required for specific tax situations, there is a high level of variablity. Oxford Tax Partners also offers its clients flexible payment plans for its services.

Second, the website does not provide any educational articles or resources, something generally appreciated by customers seeking tax assistance.

Finally, though the website states that Oxford Tax Partners has offices in every region of the country, it does not list specific locations. However, it has a contact form online, so interested consumers can learn more information and schedule a free consultation.

No Live Chat Feature

Oxford Tax Partners does not have any kind of live chat feature. which is something that several other competitors offer to benefit their customers.

gavel

The Bottom Line

Oxford Tax Partners is a tax firm that is clearly confident in the quality of its tax services; otherwise, it wouldn't offer a money-back guarantee. Because tax law firms employ tax attorneys, you know the company has a firm grasp on the complexities of tax law.

The tax professionals at Oxford Tax Partners are capable. The company professes to help customers with IRS audit defense, wage garnishments, tax lien or tax levy removal, offer in compromise settlements, Currently Not Collectible (CNC) settlements, false claims, and Partial Payment Installment Agreement (PPIA) settlements.

Oxford Tax Partners claims to be able to help any kind of business-related or individual tax issue, whether that be preparing taxes and guiding tax decisions for home-based businesses to assisting in cases of tax fraud.

The company is a member of the NATP and employs experienced staff members. While the money-back guarantee is convenient, the company lacks transparency and provides little information upfront, such as pricing, costs, and fees. Consumers should use the free consultation to learn more specific details about costs for their situation and payment plan options.

Overall, Oxford Tax Partners has a lot of positive aspects and would be a reliable choice for tax relief services.

Where do I begin... I owed the irs 128000 dollars. I used this service based on the reviews and on a recorded line was told it would take six months and be negotiated by the 'tax experts'. A year and a half later with no resolution I just paid the irs what I owed them. So Ontop of the over a hundred grand I paid oxford 6000 as well. What a joke . The worst company and most low level communication I've ever dealt with. Don't waste your time .

Little to no help at all. Paid somewhere around 1400 bucks and they didnt help my situation at all and gave me no way to get a refund for not helping. All I got from that much cash was that they filed my taxes for me.....Should have just done TurbTax or similar for 100 to 200

Work with the IRS. This company has charged me $13,000.00 which I paid in full 2019 to what I thought was going to clear up my tax issues instead of me completing forms per their direction and send the required attachments, I pay for postage, and I take to post office and I get all responses from the IRS come back to me. They do no operate as your paid representative. It is now 2022 and I am still with my issues not resolved. They are not transparent on the reason for the $13, 000.00 only that this amount is all I would need to pay to correct my IRS issues which I thought they would use some of those funds to pay IRS. All my tax years were filed they did not have to but they decided to redo 2 years of my returns that were already filed, paid and accepted by the IRS only to reopen them and make me have to pay more on top of just paying them the $13,000.00. To date I have not received a breakdown of the use of the $13,000.00 only a receipt stating I paid it in full. Make sure and read all of the bad reviews as they are more current than the good ones.

As i read many of the other reviews, i have many of the same complaints. They're horrible when it comes to communication. The only time they initiated contact was when there was a glitch getting their payment. I requested my tax returns and it took almost a month and when i reviewed the return, they had neglected to account for $30,000 paid as alimony. I sent an email reporting this and have yet to get a corrected return. I never spoke with my account manager. No one explain ed what the outcomes would be, (ie reduced debt or whether i qualify for hardship since i have Parkinson's and am no longer working.

We started our relationship with Oxford tax group in 2018. I sent them $1000.00 to open the case, grant it we are self employed and weren't sure how to go about getting this major issue handled. We had taxes from 2013-2018 to prepare and send back to us. 2013 was already prepared, it just needed filed. They took out over #13,000.00 from my bank account, informed me i was paid in full but NO RESULTS on our taxes. This August 2020 and we don't have our tax returns finished in spite of never missing a payment and if one did come up, they IMMEDIATELY called and text until payment arrangements were made, now we have to call and call for them to respond to us. They assured us they would help us with State and Federal returns. We haven't received our tax returns and we can't file our 2019 until these have been filed. This is so frustrating!!! Especially when they have been paid every dime!!! I am going to get our MS Attorney General involved because this has gone on long enough!! Our agent is Danny V and he keeps putting me off. We just need our returns finished and done correctly!! It's been 2 years!!

They did not really help us at all! we ended up paying closed to $5000 and nothing was resolved. all they did is file my husband's 2018 tax they set up the payment plan of $195 but when i called and did it myself I was able to set it up for $161 a month. we took out a loan so we can pay Oxford because we thought they would be able to lower of what my husband owe, because that is what they told us that they can negotiate. LIE! We could've used the loan to pay off the IRS, but instead we accumulated the interest and instead of just owing $6000 my husband owe them $7800 because of the interest. We are not going back to them anymore and when i tried to contact them for the refund they gave us the run around and no one is returning our call and email. our case manager is Paul Culbertson. they are so good with contacting your for payment but too slow to reach out when you have questions and asking for refund. Thant's why we have the MN attorney general office involved.

After paying them over $3000 and waiting 10 months for them to take action on my 2016-17 tax audit nothing has happened and I have received no word from them. They promised to do my 2018 Tax return, but when it finally was done, they only took a minimal gloss of my tax situation and offered me a tax return with none of my standard deductions. It was a $10,000 tax bill! I did it myself on Turbotax and reduced it to $3000. When I confronted them with this they could only say that they wanted to avoid an audit flag. Thanks a lot! I pay $7000 to the IRS because they are too lazy to do a diligent return for me. I have stopped payments, and will be requesting a full refund of my payments according to their 100% satisfaction money back guarentee. Stay Away!

I called Oxford Tax partners to help with my tax woe's They talked a good game and made me feel comfortable. After I gave them all of my information, crickets. After a few months I called to speak with my account rep. I was told he was on the phone with another client and an assistant proceed to tell me exactly what I was told on the initial contact with them. Long story short, I ended up calling them a dozen times I believe in the next couple months. Every time I asked for my account rep, I was always told the same thing. He is on the phone with another client. The last 3 times I called I got a voice mail but, I never got a call back. I think they are a scam and all they want is your money for what could have been done by any tax preparation service. I won't recommend them to my worst enemy. I think I would rather have a sharp stick in the eye than to try to deal with them again.

Worse company to help assist you with the IRS. Signed up with them on Friday 03/01/2019 by Harold. Seemed really fast because Harold fast talked me using my issue with the IRS to get a full payment on Friday. By Saturday I had time to finally research this company to find out that they have done a lot of bait and switching. The reviews were not promising for my case. Called on Monday to let Harold know I wanted to cancel my case with them and told them I had paid someone else to assist with and there would not be any hidden fees. It was a straight $1900 to where I was seeing Oxford getting the $500 to start and once they had the final report it was costing people up to $8000 for Oxford Tax Services to resolve with the IRS. So when I called Harold 48 hours after paying the $500 to cancel, he hung up on me. I called on Tuesday 03/05 to attempt to see when they would be issuing the credit to me, and Harold in a very rude tone said they were issuing the refund to my credit card today. After 10 days of waiting for the credit I contacted Harold again, and was told that they were trying to figure out how to issue the credit either by Check or credit to my card. I told him just issue credit to my card, and he hung up on me. So I called my credit card company to to file dispute for services not rendered. The following day I get a call from the person taking over Harold's cases as he was let go and voice my unhappiness with Oxford Tax Services, at which time the owner called me. I told him I would handle with my credit card company as I don't trust them to do the credit and drop my dispute. He told me he would work a deal but only if I dropped my dispute with Cit Bank. I told him they said they would suspend the dispute until I received the credit from them and he said no deal, only if the dispute was canceled would I get my credit back from them. These people are shady and prey on citizens that need legitimate help to assist with dealing with the IRS. I am very happy I found a reputable tax service agency to help me with the IRS audit, and they told me something that makes alot of sense. They said, "you should retain a business to help you with an IRS audit that will tell you how much it will be start to finish, not someone that says it is initially $500 to do the preliminary results and next phase is another amount and the third phase is a different amount!" I Would not suggest Oxford Tax Partners to anyone. They are shady and prey on people that are currently stressed out about the IRS audit!! Shame on them!

First of all, this company was very deceptive because they used a different name to gain my business. They also placed me on a payment plan for the $500.00 special they were running. However, the second $250.00 was taken out of my account without my knowledge. What outrage me is that their so called investigation was simply telling me what I already knew and that was the amount that I owe the IRS and for what years it covered. Then they said they can put me in a hardship program for another $9000.00. I was appalled that anyone had the audacity to wait until they cleared my $500.00 to drop such a bombshell. I told their scout before I paid a dime the exact amount I owed. So why would he not then suggest to me their total fees because their goal is to take $700.00 from desperate victims as myself. PLEASE BE AWARE OF ANY COMPANY DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE THAT DOES NOT TELL YOU IN ADVANCE OF THEIR TWO STEP PROCESS AND FEES ASSOCIATED WITH EACH STEP. Community Tax helped me greatly in this situation. They were very upfront about the three options and the cost of each option along with the best fits for each option

They were the worst and a complete scam! They gave me a free consultation and advised they could help with my tax situation- I was already on a payment plan with the state. I paid them $700 for an investigation fee - after the “investigation “ they told me I would be eligible for a specific program but they needed 1800 more to complete it.. they set me up on a payment plan to pay them- 2 months later they come back and say they can put me on a payment plan with the state - and get this—- it was HIGHER than the one I set up with the state for FREE by myself— so I paid them money to do NOTHING- Total I paid them $1300 and they gave me back $600- I want my investigation fee back! If they were true professionals they would have told me during my fee consultation that it would be better to handle by myself.

I had a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE , with this company, and as of today , I have not heard from them, in quite a while. They wont answer my calls. I was prompted to borrow 6k, from a third party, to cover their "investigation "; which upon a little research on my part, I found out that what they needed, could have been aquired, with a simple Letter, and the P.O.A. that I electronically signed. HARDLY, 6,000.00 worth of work.or cost. My tax issue REMAINS UNRESOLVED.

I have been dealing with this for way to long and all they really did is just fill out my taxes for a cost of $4000 dollars. Everything they did has been returned and nothing has changed but my bank account. They advertised money back guarantee. I am still waiting. I question if they know what they are doing since as I said they returned everything noting it has to be signed not a photo copy, This seems to be something they should have known.
