Top Ranked Companies

The Good

  • Professionals
  • Availability
  • Flat Fee Pricing
  • Warranty

IRS Medic's team consists of CPAs, Enrolled Agents and tax attorneys. Having various educational backgrounds help clients receive higher quality services. The team at IRS Medic will completely take over all communication with the IRS, federal and state tax agencies so the clients do not have to.

IRS Medic is not only available nationwide, but is one of the few companies in this industry who also offer international services. The company claims to have served clients on each continent with the exception of Antarctica. IRS Medic has made their services available online which is extremely convenient, IRS Medic states that 90% of their clientele never step foot into an office.

Flat Fee Pricing

When it comes to pricing, IRS Medic offers services under a flat fee rate, and prices vary greatly depending on the scope of the tax issue. In their FAQ video they give a very rough ballpark figure and make comparisons of where they fit in the way of price. Additionally, the company warranties their work, and if they cause discrepancies or if the IRS processes something incorrectly, clients will not be held accountable and never be charged more than the original quote. This ensures the attorney's will make the best effort to resolve all kinds of tax debt in a timely and efficient manner - otherwise, they lose money.

Another great aspect about IRS Medic is their warranty which extends for an additional 180 days after the final resolution of the tax debt is granted. This is rare in the tax debt relief industry, and indicates that they stand behind their work and services. This warranty protects clients from any mistakes made by IRS Medic and the IRS. What makes this warranty even greater is if there are mistakes and the warranty is used, they will provide an additional 180 days of protection after the final resolution and guarantee they will work constantly on the job until final resolution.

The Bad

  • Accreditations
  • Services and Negotiation Methods
  • Minimum Debt

IRS Medic does not have the accreditations we would like to see. Some of these accreditations include: National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS), and the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP). Accreditations can be an important feature to look for when choosing a company to work with. These associations require accredited companies to keep a certain standard of best practices. This helps to ensure that customers are receiving quality services.

Services and Negotiation Methods

We would like to see more clarity in the services offered by IRS Medic. While IRS Medic does offer a great selection of services, some of the services and negotiation methods we would like to see are not listed on their website. Offering a large assortment of services and negotiations broadens the range of clients who can use IRS Medic's services.

Minimum Debt

IRS Medic requires a $10k tax debt requirement. This narrows the possible customers who can work with IRS Medic for tax debt relief. While this company has some great qualities, it is obviously not suitable for everyone.

The Bottom Line

IRS Medic's availability, services, flat fees and warranty are great aspects about this company. The minimum debt makes IRS Medic's services inaccessible to some clients and we would like to see more accreditations and transparency on their website. We recommend taking advantage of the free consultation to determine if they can meet your needs at a price you can afford. If not, we recommend taking a look at our top recommended companies.

I’ve been living in the UK for over 30 years and have dual USA/UK citizenship. I only earn money in the UK and have dutifully completed my USA taxes every year. It’s annoying but not been a major issue since I earn well under the limit to pay dual tax. However, I’m nearing retirement age and just found out I’ll owe the IRS over $100K in capital gains for my home in the UK when I sell it. I feel like I’ve been scammed. Also, I knew nothing about the FBAR so I hadn’t filled anything and worried about penalties. My emotions vacillate between fear and anger. I found IRS Medics videos helpful to understand the process … and the unfair treatment of Americans living abroad. I was anxious talking to anyone about this but decided to book an initial consultation with IRS Medic. An accountant advisor and Anthony joined the cal. I became extremely emotional discussing my situation. Both assured me everything talked about was confidential. Within a half hour I had a strategy. I feel a million times better. I can’t thank Anthony enough.

My wife and I have lived in Australia since 1985. From 2015 to 2017 IRS Medic took us through the IRS amnesty streamlined filing process. IRS Medic had to deal with a very complex tax situation involving our past employers in Australia, our partnership online business, and our superannuation retirement fund in Australia. The outcome was excellent.
