I can not in honest tell you that solar is freedom is a bad company. But I can say this is my on going problem. I can not reconcile my electric bill to my app. I asked my account manager witch has left the company. And got I’ll find out. I’ve asked and sent emails out no answers. I’ve even asked person on app he took all my information and no answer. I dug and found the answer myself. When they installed my system the electrician did not install the meter monitor in the correct place and now I do not know who to call. I’ll never be able to reconcile using the app and electric bill. No one will return my emails. So that’s my story and it’s a loosing opportunity for all.

The panels are up and working great. The install went well even though it was two months behind schedule. After the install it took several weeks for them to communicate to the power company to get us switched over to net metering. Next they promised they would monitor our system 24-7 so if anything was wrong they would know it right away. The monitoring system quit working after just a few weeks and it took three months and several phone calls and emails before they came out and fixed it. In other words, they do not monitor the system like they say. They told us we had two months before we had to start making payments on the system. Then we found out we were accruing interest during that two months so the first two payments went to just paying the accrued interest. Lastly, when filing for the tax credit we find out we can only claim the amount spent on materials, not labor. They told we would be able to claim the full amount. That is wrong and deceiving! Trying to get the information to file taxes has been like pulling teeth.

Solar is Freedom has diagnosed the problem as an under performing inverter. The warranty claim has been accepted and we will be out to replace!
