I researched multiple Solar companies for nearly a month before settling on SuNation. I chose SuNation because their sales rep, John, went above and beyond to answer all our questions (he came to my house on three separate occasions). Even after contracts were signed John was extremely attentive and continued to answer my questions as we moved throughout the process. In addition to John, the guys that came out for the field assessment, the women in the office, and the guys that installed the system were AMAZING. Everyone was so kind, patient, and helpful from start to finish. They communicate with you throughout the whole process. I highly recommend SuNation.

When I decided to get Solar I checked three companies and had them come to my home to speak with me and show me what they had to offer. One company was a leasing company and the other two were both to purchase the units. I had a friend that had one of the two do his solar so I was leaning towards them but after visiting both I changed my mind and went with SUNATION. Well I glad I did as everything Sunation said they would do they did and more. I didn’t have one problem with them . Every employee did the best they could to make us happy. They have to be the most reputable company I’ve ever dealt with.

We had our solar panels installed in November 2017, and we are so happy we did! We shopped around a bit and had several salespeople come to give their pitch, but none were able to give us the facts and statistics about our needs except for Steve Foley at Sunation. The installation went very smoothly and they were neat and clean. For the past couple of months we have only paid PSEG about $12 for the line into the house. We are currently working on a negative electric usage, which means we are producing more electricity than what we are using. We are so satisfied with the whole process from beginning to end. We are saving money AND we are helping the environment. WIN, WIN !!

Originally I had met with steve Foley from Sunation in 2015.. ever since then I have had the best experience with the every at Sunation.. from steve... to the installers .. to billing... to service... even the owner reached out to welcome me to the Sunation family... I haven’t had to pay an electric bill ( except the 12ish hookup fee.. for Being on the grid) since I started producing back in 2015. It’s been great.. Original by electric bill was budgeted at $230... now even with my loan payment I’m only paying $179 a month.. it was a no-brainer ... and I love when my anniversary comes around and pseg pays me for all my excess power that i generated ;)

We had 45 panels installed in June of 2014. We were told that the panels would produce a certain amount of energy, and they have exceeded that promise! From sales, to installation, to inspections, to loans and rebates, they took care of EVERYTHING. And that involved coordinating a whole lot of paperwork. All we had to do was keep signing on the dotted lines, and opening our doors to the installers, inspectors, etc. The process was fluid, the staff was really helpful, and everything was done on a very timely basis. I can't imagine a company making the process any easier for a homeowner. This company has their stuff together. It's hard to understand why they are ranked #24 on particular rating of recommended companies. Makes me think that the set of criteria used for ratings is not the one that ends up offering potential customers the information they need to make a fully-informed choice. I say this as someone who works in environmental education, including a lot of work on clean energy -- so I know a good bit about the companies that operate in this area. SuNation is among the very top choices on LI. A ranking of #24, presumably based upon the fact that they only operate on Long Island and don't offer leases, does not the story tell. Leases are not the best option for most customers -- so that should actually buoy their score. Regardless, I've said my part, and strongly recommend SuNation as an installer, and solar power in general as an amazing deal for any homeowner who has a home with good sun exposure, income against which they can take the tax credits, and who expects to be in their current home for more than a few years. It's really a no-brainer. Low cost, clean energy!

SunNation came referred from a local community website that serves Long Island. If you want a company that is local, serves all of Long Island and genuinely cares about what they do, it's SuNation. We originally saw a leasing company and thought there was a better way to get panels on my roof. When SuNation came, they already analyzed our situation. The programs and products offered are top notched. The installation was planned, explained and the crew was very informative about the products. Once complete, the system was explained again, everything cleaned up and service was turned on. Meter already started spinning backwards and I can hear the savings in my head. The best feature which goes unnoticed sometimes and the wiring. All wiring was pretty much hidden. I've seen other companies installs where grey conduits running on roofs and down sides of houses. No thank you as that is an eye sore. With that said, my sales person has stayed in touch with me and the company calls me family and like your family, we can call in at any time. The entire staff is top notch. They make the entire process easy by taking care of everything. I signed my name's a few times, next thing panels are on the roof. My system has been up for 3 months and I have not seen a electric bill since. If there is a choice, go SuNation. Best investment and company to deal with.

I have been nothing but happy with SUNation. We got our system installed on October 1, 2015 and the whole process from beginning to end was so easy and smooth. The representatives kept us informed every step of the way through the application process, filing for the permit and scheduling the installation. On the day of the installation, the trucks pulled up right on time and got to work. Since it looked like it was going to rain the next day, they got more installers to come later in the afternoon to finish the job in one day. The solar array is beautiful, neat and clean, and you can''t see any pipes at all. They left my yard and driveway clean. I can't believe how much energy I'm generating and my bills since March have been $12 or less every month. I highly recommend SUNation and am more than happy that I chose them.

This company walked me through the whole process, from evaluation through installation. The sales guy I dealt with, Bill, was great with call backs and answering any follow up questions I had. The install was near flawless with a lot of time and attention spent on minimizing the appearance of wires and such on the exterior of the home. Highly recommend this company.

SUNation was a great company to work with. Their sales department is very knowledgeable and their customer service is outstanding. The whole process from start to finish went very smoothly. You can call them any time and they are always willing to help you out. Once you sign on with them, you are part of the "family" I would and have recommended them to friends and family

It was very comfortable doing business with them. They treat me now, as an existing client, the same way they treated me when they were eager to get my business. The system works fantastically!!! I chose to over-produce because I believe electric cars will be in our future, but I didn't expect to be producing more than I use in JANUARY!!! So far, the system is outperforming their estimates. I'm very happy.

We were all set to go with another large company, when friends of ours turned us on to Sunation. We are so glad they did. When we met Mike C., there was no turning back. The Sunation company treats their customers like family. Their communication and follow up is excellent. They walk you through the process worry free. Great Company. Rep came to our home n explained very in simple terms the pros n cons. The permits were taken care of by the company. A crew showed up early , worked all day. Came back the next day to complete the installation. Winter months doing good one bill was only 29.00 We have been on a 300.00 a month budget. Very satisfied so far can't wait to see what Spring n Summer will bring. SUNation AAA+

A custom solar Installation done the right way. 1. Purchased, Not Leased. 2. No panels on the north-facing roof. 3. No ugly grey pipe scattered all over the roof. 4. No ugly junction boxes connecting all of the ugly grey pipes. 5. No black rails hanging beyond the edge of the panels. 6. Custom design, not one size-fits all 7. Immediate increased home value. 8. Even with a family of 6 the meter is spinning rapidly backwards!!! Thank You, SUNation!!!

Sunation has been the most amazing company that we have dealt with in the 11 years that we have owned our house. Stephen Foley is a great part of the team. One year later he calls to see how everything is doing? He makes himself available to me if I have questions and I have. Their installation team was excellent in every way. They were very knowledgeable and very professional. Even the women in the office. Any time i had a question or a problem they were there to help me. Excellent company. I recommend them to everyone.

Sunation was the best solar company from start to finish. The initial meeting with the sales rep to the permit section to the installation and the final inspection was smooth. They made sure we understood everything. Go with SUNATION if you have a choice.

Sunation made going solar painless. From permits to installation everything went like clockwork. Everyone at Sunation Knows their job, from the office staff and sales department to the installation crews. It is a pleasure to deal with a company that really knows it's business and knows how to treat it's customers.

Roby was great took his time and came out to my residence multiple times. He answered all my questions no matter the time I emailed him. The staff at sun nation office was even better they reached out to me to make sure that Roby meet all my expectations and that I was 100% satisfied.

We chose Sunation over a competitor back in 2010. The installation was quick, efficient and well run. As another customer said they took care of 'most' of the paperwork. There was an issue with Brookhaven Town and the CO after completion of the work, but Sunation took care of the additional paperwork and fees and it was done. The panels have produced adequate power, I wish we had the ability to add more panels (we have 33 but LIPA limits how many you can have so you can never get ahead of them). Despite having panels we are constantly making sure we don't waste energy, have replaced bulbs with LED's etc. The biggest draw on our credits is air conditioning, Our disappointment in the company concerns customer service AFTER installation. 1) we are supposed to have a yearly visit for the warranty period of 10 years. I am the one to call them, if I forget, they forget. I would prefer they had a more vested interest in their product and sent a reminder card or email. It would not take much on their part. I have now learned to set myself an electronic reminder on my phone 2) This one is very important. At the time of discussion of the product and details of cost, we asked about installing squirrel guard, an item discussed and included with other solar installation companies. Sunation salesman said it was not necessary as the other guys set their panels way higher on the roof and Sunation's panels sit lower making it impossible for squirrels to get under. Well, here we are entering year 7 and guess what? Squirrels chewed one of our three main wires and now we have to pay for squirrel guard in the tune of 1800. At the time of installation, the competitor quoted us 1000 for the addition of squirrel guard. I know, we should have insisted for squirrel guard then, but the salesman vehemently said we did not need it and insulted the other company. Now we have an unexpected large bill that could have been included in our original payment and could have been partially covered in our rebates available at the time (LIPA, Federal and State). Furthermore, since we are still under warranty to Sunation we do not have the option of installing the squirrel guard ourselves (we were told this would void the remaining three years of the warranty by the inspector) or having another company do it. So our hands are tied, we have no choices. It is for that reason I give them a 5. We are not pleased with them and honestly, for years have given their name to friends considering solar but will no longer do so. They also lack a feature I would have liked where you can monitor your system on line and observe usage. Other companies included that at the time we installed in 2010. So I would say they are very good at getting you signed up and up and running but after installation, service is poor. If you are looking to install solar, do a better job than we did about finding out how well they service after installation. Anyone can do a great job of getting the panels on and running but it is important that they are available and helpful and after the fact.

They really promised alot and failed to keep their word and promise in multiple aspects I really dont recommend anyone go solar because it not worth getting in debt and having a system that does not function as promised and have damage done to your roof. The first person I spoke to pauline promised a solar panel instalation with a tesla battery I started the paper work and a few months went by then they changed Pauline as my rep to James he scheduled my instalation and I did not receive a tesla power bank with my instalation he told me that there must have Been a confusion cause they do not normally include them in their installs. I was promised 120 percent of my homes power production but the systems has never produced that much power for me it doing a little more than 70 percent so my I still pay around 60 dollars of electricity on top of the solar panels. They told me I would get exactly 12700 dollars of tax reimbursement so that I can pay off half of the instalation I got about 7000 and now have have to pay the difference on top of the 15 year loan. That 5,700 that I have to immediately pay back so there really is no saving as expected and the 0 money out of pocket cost is a lie. They told me that if my ceiling ever had a leak that I would need to call right away and that they would send some one immediately. Today my roof started leaking and they told me the soonest they would have some one out here would be a week. Both of my reps Pauline and James no longer work at sun Nation I have no one to go to for assistance and their service is piss poor I am really not happy with the desicion I made with this company to go solar.

They took over Level Solar's Operation smoothly. I have a 20 year PPA so I am riding out the savings instead of getting ripped off by PSEG. I can buy groceries instead...

excellent service and installation crew was very detail oriented. They answered all my questions right way. A pleasure to deal with. I recommend them highly.

SUNation completed the installation of 37 panels on my house. Can't complain about a thing. I recommend this company!

They are a great company that fulfills all of their promises. The salesperson Alex V was easy to deal with and honest.
