We had a problem -- a "spider" on our flat roof or ducting which prevented us from getting solar panels. Every company we tried would come out, tell us it was a no go. The thing was, we could see our neighbors had a similar roof and they had solar panels. We gave Semper Solaris a call and Bob King came out, took a look at our roof, took a look at our neighbors, and said yes, they could do it. After that it was all very smooth and the work was completed on time and in a respectful, unobtrusive way for a reasonable price. Our reasons were more environmental than economic, but we no longer dread our electric bills -- they have plummeted! We are planing on extending our solar panels system at our desert rentals and the only company we will be talking to is Semper.

I was very excited to get solar on my home. Just the savings alone was going to have such a big impact on my family’s budget, so we wouldn’t be concerned about those pesky electric bills. My husband and I had talked to a few solar companies, but it wasn’t until we had an educated consultation from Semper Solaris that we decided to make the investment. After our initial meeting, then the calls with the corporate office to finalize the plans, to the final installation we didn’t have a single issue. Once we made it to installation day, Matthew W and his team were beyond professional when answering our questions (regardless of how silly they were) with the final result and walk through of our system. I am so happy my family went with Semper Solaris for our energy needs. I feel like the relationship we built is going to be around for the long haul.

I would like to say I went out to get 4 estimates for Solar and had some outrages quotes until Mark I from Semper Solaris came over. First let me tell you the other three gave me cost ranges of over ten thousand dollars differences and all wanted to repair or upgrade my electrical panel at additional 3-5k more. Then when they heard the other quotes, they wanted to match that quote. Kind of late don’t you think.
Mark I came over very polite and asked to see my electrical panel, by the way he was the only one that looked at the panel. After a glance of the meter we went inside, sat down and he explained the company he seemed so proud of. Then we got into the meat and potatoes. He was over ten thousand less and his product sounded better. Panasonic has a great name base and I asked about the efficiency which he proudly told me and of course I had been researching efficiency and Panasonic beat the others. Then when I asked about my electrical panel and how much he delighted me by saying they did not have to upgrade they would be putting in SDGEs box which did two things, saved me money and Mark I said should cut down time because SDGEs equipment is added so they like to see it working.
Well Mark Ivory and Semper Solaris were stating they would cut down time and put up a superior product. I did weigh all options and I went with Semper Solaris. As promised the time frame was cut down and Mark I kept me informed the whole process. Delivering what they say seemed to be the norm. Semper Solaris would say next step should be in two to three weeks and a week later it was done.
Mark I seems to be working for a team that cares and wants customers satisfied. And I am completely satisfied with Semper Solaris.

Last Fall we decided to look into solar since our electric bill continued to rise. We interviewed two prominent solar companies in the San Diego area and decided on Semper Solaris primarily due to our Senior Energy and Roof Consultant, Rhami H. Rhami was very professional and anytime I had a question he responded promptly. One of the best Reps I have ever had. He represents his company very well and Semper Solaris should be very proud of him. Unfortunately, I had a serious medical issue so decided not to go forward with the project. If you are looking at solar I definitely recommend Rhami H at Semper Solaris.

Mark I. of Semper Solaris is an outstanding representative and solar expert. He follows through on every aspect of the process and keeps you informed of progress and next steps. I was referred to Mark by some long time 40+ year friends who said he had helped them get solar installed on their house. Mark did a phenomenal job on my first house and my SDG&E bills evaporated! Throughout the time I owned the home any time the solar went off line (you can check how much energy you are generating with the great APP) or any question I had Semper Solaris was outstanding and quickly resolved the issue. They sent replacement parts to connect to the internet or came to my house to fix it at no cost, which is great service! They are a veteran owned company and I appreciate that since I am also a veteran, they take good care of the people who have served our country. I sold my old home and bought a new one. Despite my neighbor’s recommendations to use the company that did their home who just had solar installed, I called Mark and he came out and it is impressive to see the advances in technology in just a few short years and the great growth of Semper Solaris. I trust Mark, he is a professional, he follows up, answers emails and texts in a rapid manner and I know he will make sure I get the best possible service and solar system at a great price. He has become someone I can trust and I have recommended him to others who have also purchased solar through Mark and Semper Solaris. I purchased my new system from Mark and we are going through the process of approvals, permits, installation and eventually turn on and I know I can count on Mark to make it happen. I highly recommend you contact Mark and Semper Solaris for installation of solar on your house. With some of their new loan programs it is basically free, you can pay it off over time by replacing your SDG&E bill payment with a solar payment or just pay up front, whatever works best for you. Solar system is complete and generating solar power! Being a former Navy Captain I reached out to Semper Solaris since they are veteran owned and operated. My wife and I met with Genevieve the solar representative. She was very informative and took the time to explain everything very thoroughly and was very patient answering all of our questions. She's the girl you need to talk with about solar! We had shopped around and the price was right in the middle of all our quotes, we never go with the cheapest. Made that mistake before!
The office did a great job at communication through the entire project. SDGE of course was a little bit of a pain to work with waiting for them to install my RMA. The installer were very friendly and did the job faster than I expected. They cleaned up the job site and even knocked on the door when hey were leaving to say bye. The system was turned on only 3 days after inspection had been completed! I've read it takes some companies weeks or even months which scared me. Semper did a great job and I'm excited to finally tell SDGE to stick it once and for all!

When I placed a call to Semper Solaris, I immediately received a phone call back from Kurt to set up an appointment. I was impressed by how timely the return call was. After meeting with him, I was convinced this was the company I was going to use for my new solar panels. The benefits of going solar are well worth the investment. The discount for the tax credit was a big savings. We looked into the Hero program but decided to go with another financing option. The installation was pretty quick and the installers did a good job with clean up after they were finished. Looking forward to seeing a big savings on electricity. Great job!

I purchased my home a few years ago and noticed a spike in electricity costs during the summer months. This is my first time owning a home with a pool and didn’t think it would effect my electricity bill too much. Then I realized having a pool made my home the “go to” hang out spot and entertaining guests became a second job. My AC is in full gear most days and my teenage boys have friends over constantly. I finally decided to consider alternative options to save money and become more environmentally friendly. I met with Kurt V and he analyzed my electricity bill in detail. He is very professional and answered all of my questions. He’s extremely knowledgeable and really listened and addressed all of my concerns. If you are considering solar, talk to Kurt. Bernie T Sales Rep from Semper Solaris came to our home and performed monthly usage electric analysis based on the last one year utility bills. Based on the total monthly KWH calculation usage, Bernie provided me 20 Panels Photovoltaic Panasonic 330 watts system with an electric panels upgrades to 200 amps from 100 amps.
On the day of installation Eriz the Semper Solaris supervisor with his team came on time and installed the solar panels with in few hours. The electrical panel upgrades was done by Hussain a Semper Electrician so beautifully and precisely. The stucco around new electrical panel was put in perfectly and most importantly the color matching of the wall was exactly the same and painted by Eriz. They cleaned the area before leaving.
I have worked with so many vendors but Semper Solaris stands out on the top. From the sales paperwork to actual operating of Solar Panels is literally mind blowing. I would highly recommend Semper Solaris for Photovoltaic needs.

I met with four companies prior to meeting with Robert A of Semper Solaris. He was punctual, professional, attentive to my needs, and courteous. He provided me with all my options and allowed me to decide which product was best for my situation. In the end, I went with the option that the four other companies failed to show me. Robert was happy to come back out, sign me up, and explain the next steps. He showed up every time a Semper Solaris truck drove up and hasn't missed a single phone call whenever a question arises. I'm looking forward to recommending Robert and Semper Solaris to every homeowner (family, friend, or neighbor) that is tired of their electricity bills!

When my wife and I decided to go solar things became a bit overwhelming. There is so many companies out there and they a bit annoying. I get bombarded with crazy phone calls and have met with those people. They are all pressure based sales people and we didn't really like that.
Eventually we called a company ourselves and our consultant Nick A came by. Very helpful and knowledgeable. He walked us around our property, talked about our electrical, and even explained our bill. We loved the fact that they are a veteran owned company and support American made products. I recommend giving them a call.

I have a Semper Solar system on our home, now for a couple of years. I have to say I have had the best experience. I worked with Mark I on the purchase of a 24 panel system for our home. Mark was timely and very professional. He explained the system clearly to us, and had us understand the benefits of solar. I am in real estate and I can see the purchase of a system adding HUGE value to the value of the home. The company back their products with a great warranty and it is a US based long standing company. I was also amazed that one time, I arrived home and there was a guy on our roof, cleaning the panels, since they were monitoring our system and found out that the production was low. Someone automatically came out to rectify the problem and cleared a few leaves from the panels. Mark was quick to follow up when we needed to change to net metering. The system was installed really quickly and the new monitoring was set up and runs fantastically. Thank you Semper Solaris and Mark I!!

My roof was getting old and my electric bill over time has seemed to rise. It made sense to do them both at the same time. Their is only a few companies that do both so I looked into the two biggest names on the market in the bay area. On the cover, both of them looked the same but after talking to their reps, I chose Semper Solaris. The reason for this is because one company wouldn't even send someone to my house. I called them and they stated they could do everything over the phone. That didn't feel right and I just didn't trust it. Semper Solaris sent over a gentleman named Nick A. He explained to me everything and answered all my questions. The waranty on my shingle roof is superior and the panels are american made. I've been very happy with their service and i'm glad this was handled quickly and efficently.

Looking for solar is not an easy task. There is so much competition in the marketplace. Being that I have a lot of family that are veterans, I decided to reach out to Semper Solaris after meeting with a few others. Our consultant (Nicolas A) was very professional. He explained how some panels are different and that not all warranties are the same. The level of knowledge that he had compared to the other companies really stuck out. His honesty and the reputation of the company led me to choose them.
The process went really well and though there were some bumps along the way, Nic was always available. The ladies in the office were very helpful when it came to getting back as best as possible. It really shows their professionalism.

We spent about a month doing research on panels and solar installers. We took the leap with the best local company, Semper Solaris. Our solar specialist Brian, spent the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. We emailed and spoke on the phone with Brian frequently during our month of research.
Permitting, installation and inspections went smoothly from one step to the next. Glad that we finally had a project or renovation on the house go well. Now that we have had the system for a year, I decided to write this review. We are very satisfied with Semper Solaris and would strongly refer them to others looking for solar.

My Husband and I have been looking at solar for a while no but a few years ago it was not in the cards. The cost was to high and the timing was just not right. Over time we noticed or utility bill on the rise and it prompted us to look into it again. Our bill was $225 a month and slowly increasing. We met with 3 companies and out of those Semper was the one that stood out. We love the fact that this is a veteran owned company but we loved meeting the rep. Nic A explained everything to us and lowered our monthly payment by $60 bucks a month with a fixed payment. Once the system is paid off in 10 years, we won't have a payment anymore. That is amazing!

I didn't really think I needed solar because I thought my bill wasn't high enough. My bill was $90 a month on average and That wasn't to bad. Until one day I saw a commercial that hinted to me that PG&E's rates are always going up. So I decided to give solar a shot. I called several companies and none of them seemed to fit right. Some to pushy, some to expensive, and some that I just didn't like.
Then I saw a Semper Solaris truck on the next street over and decided to make a call. Nicholas A was the guiys who showed up at my house. This guy was extremely friendly and very straight forward. The cost was way lower than most and the Panasonic panel is one of the best in the world. After speaking with my wife that evening, we decided to move forward with them.
Everything went great after that. The system was installed and the city signed off on it. My PG&E bill is practically gone now and PG&E owes me a bit as of right now. Nicholas continues to follow up with me to make sure everything is well. Check them out for sure.

Our experience with Semper Solaris was nothing short of 5 STARS. If we could give them more stars, we would. I don't usually write reviews but Semper Solaris and Brian O. deserve recognition.
We did our research and contacted 4 of the best local solar installers. After meeting with all the companies, we didn't want our decision to be based on price alone. We wanted a company with excellent reviews who carry the best panels and install them with ease. The Semper Solaris way with the cohesive chain of command was an easy decision for us.
From our first meeting, Brian O. put us at ease with his knowledge of solar and hassle free approach. After our appointment and many emails back in fourth, Brian O. always responded quickly and answered all our questions regardless of how absurd they sounded.
Semper Solaris always kept us up to date with the progress of our project. Site assessment to permitting to installation and final inspection. Our installation took half the amount of time originally stated and final inspection was like a snap of the fingers.
After having our system up and running for almost a year now, we have had zero problems and zero bills. We are constantly getting compliments from friends and family. Clearly we made the right decision. Thank you again!

I received a high recommendation of this company when I was having new window tint applied to her house. I called Semper Solaris to get a quote.
Manny P. and Robert A. showed up very prepared and provided me with several options for my sizable house. I trusted their honesty and they were sincerely invested in my best interest as I asked many questions. I was very happy with their informative presentation and was happy to have found a veteran and locally owned company, but not only that, I was happy to learn that this company also helps out veteran families, too.
I was provided with realistic expectations for project completion and was pleasantly surprised when it was completed ahead of schedule. From the presentation to project completion, the system was able to be turned on today! 2 months was all it took.
Manny and Robert were always readily available, answering every phone call throughout the installation process. Even with the project being completed, I know I can count on them should I need to ever make a call.

We have met with other companies in the past but never followed through with installing them. Kurt was extremely easy to work with. He was able to work around our busy schedule to meet with us. When he arrived, he took the time to answer all our questions and explain the different options that were available to us. This company is awesome!!!! More than awesome!!! It all started with Genevieve. She was so patient and professional. She made us feel more than a customer but apart of the semper solaris family. By the is mostly veterans!! Im a vet and my hubby is active so that just added sugar go the pkg. Any next were the processors and installers. oh my god! everyone of those guys rock. Mark is my project manager and I still call to this day (its been 3 months) and no matter what time he is always answering questions and concerns. I am so happy I went this company. I didn't know too much about solar and how big of a deal it is to choose a good contractor. My brother went solar with semper Solaris about six months back and we were talking at my niece's birthday party and he referred me to them. I made an appointment with them while I was waiting for them I had one appointment with another company the day before and was not impressed. Semper Solaris came out that's when I met Blake very knowledgeable dude. Everything went according to plan just like my brother said. I was a little skeptical but I respect my brother he's a bit more successful than me and he does a lot more research when it comes to anything he's one of those guys. The installation was done in just two and a half days because I needed a full electrical panel replacement. All around great service.

I cant not thank Semper enough for their service, execution, and professionalism. I had met with five companies, signed contracts with two prior, only to have undisclosed "increases" and "change orders" presented as if it were normal and to be expected. Do NOT fall for that as all of these can be assessed up front.
As a Vet, I was amazed at the level of service received.
From the first meeting with Robert C, referred from our next door neighbor, it was evident this was the way to go all along. He also saved us $6,000 as we did not need as many panels as what we initially agreed to.
The team "troops" that installed were amazing and insisted on taking extra time to clean up and paint conduit.
9 months in and I have a $113.50 credit I need to burn according to Rob before my true up.
PLEASE ask for Rob & team if you choose to go with them. Rob came out on the 1st, 3rd, & 9th month to ensure we were on track.

I had been thinking about installing a solar photovoltaic system for quite awhile. When I got a random phone call, from a solicitor, telling me the State of California will pay for my solar system. A rep/salesman came out and explained how it worked. In the end I would finance it, but when I did the math, I was way over paying. The State of California was not paying for it, I was. So I called a couple more solar companies. And I'm glad I did. I found Semper Solaris.
Their rep, Bob K, was a fantastic person to work with. He showed me how the solar system worked, how much energy the panels could produce, how many panels would be best for my home. Best of all, he found me great financing. My solar system will be paid off in 10 years, with my monthly payment being only a few dollars more than my average electricity bill. Then I will own it.
Bob kept in touch the whole time answering all my questions. While Semper's team drew professional plans and did all the foot work getting them approved. The planning and permitting went very smooth, with the building dept. and my H.O.A. As soon as we got the OK to install, they were ready to go. Their construction crew was on time and explained to me the installation process. I left for work, when I got home they were done! One day to install a 5.28 kW Photovoltaic system. Very Impressed.
Now I'm up and running, generating twice my current daily usage.
I would recommend Bob K and Semper Solaris to anyone thinking of putting solar on their home.
And It has a really cool app to watch your usage.

We interviewed 4 companies and knew we were done when we met with Semper. I DO NOT, make decisions on a whim, especially a large investment. However, we wanted the installation completed by summer and it was, 29 days from signing the agreement we received final inspection.
Robert C, who we requested from the reviews we had read, was exactly what we expected. He was not pushy, but educated us as to how solar works over the course of the year. He also came back twice in the first few months to check in and make sure we were good to go!
Manny and team delivered and then some. Even painted existing old, ugly conduit that PG&E replaced years back for me.
Solar is a NO BRAINER!
Overall extremely satisfied and will definitely refer them to our family and friends.

When we moved into our new house, we knew we wanted solar. Brandon, estimated our likely usage and set us up with 20 panels in the hopes of offsetting 100% of our electric bill.
Well, we just finished our first HOT summer and we are as pleased as ever! We ran our air conditioning non-stop from July-September and not only did our panels cover 100% of our usage, but it looks like we will be getting a check from Edison at the end of the year :-)
It took probably about 2 months from the signing of our contract to the installation of our system. Semper installed our system quickly, and without any issues. Initially, right after installation, I noticed some silver conduit running along the side of a portion of our house. It wasn't awful or anything, but...when I told Brandon about it, Semper sent guys out right away to paint it to match the color of the house, so now it blends in perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about solar in general, and Semper. Thanks guys!

I met with 3 or 4 companies before I spoke with Bob K from Semper Solaris. I was leaning in that direction based on what I’d found out about Semper in terms of stability and financial strength. I went with Semper and I’m glad I did. Everyone I dealt with was top notch and squared away — meaning when they said they’d do something they did it. The crew was polite and professional… and funny! My system is sleek and efficient. The monitoring on my phone makes it fun and reminds me that I made a great decision. I only recommend a company when I’m certain they will not disappoint. I have and I do recommend Semper Solaris.

Purchasing Solar was a huge decision that comes with a huge price tag. From the very beginning, Semper Solaris was right there with honest quotes and impeccable customer service. Nicole L went above and beyond for us getting the whole process started and stayed right there with us throughout the entire process, coordinating and explaining everything from in-depth product information to required permits and inspections. We could not be more pleased with the product, professionalism of the staff and ongoing customer service. Thank you Semper Solaris. OK, this is a long review. I usually don't take the time to write reviews.
With the escalating increase in our electricity usage ($$$) during the summer months in Antioch, I started to investigate solar a couple of years ago. I did extensive research on the installation methods and looked at production and efficiency data of the different brands/models of PV panels on the internet. Our usage, which is higher than the average household in a 2700 sq ft two story house, would require around a 7kw solar installation.
We were not interested in the leasing option where the vendor gets all the tax incentives/rebates/etc., and you pay a discounted rate from the vendor. Plus that leased systems installed on your roof does not add any value to your home for resale. You are basically letting someone else make money using your house as a revenue generator for them.
I want all the incentives and tax advantages, and want to add value to the house, like remodeling a kitchen.
I finally contacted Semper Solaris to discuss our system size and equipment options.
Robert C was our SS rep, and we met with Robert a couple of days later. We were extremely pleased with our meeting with Robert and he answered all our questions about equipment options and went over all the incentives, rebates, and Federal Tax Credit.
I had already received approval for the PACE program financing for this project. The payment is through a special assessment on my property taxes. This program allowed us to have a PV system installed without having to pay a penny out of our pocket. The solar contractor gets paid after satisfactory completion of the installation of the system.
The plan is the payment (way lower than the PG&E electrical bill) is paying for the system that belongs to the our house. I expect that we will add 25K to 30K to the value of our home, if not more.
A couple of days after our meeting with Robert, I received via email some documents for review and for signature to proceed.
We ended up with a 7kw system, which we hope will be Net 0 at the end of the year. I wanted to ensure we configured a system that matched our kilowatt hour usage over the year.
Solaria panels made in Fremont, Solar Edge power optimizers, and Solar Edge inverter.
Let me say that these guys are professional, very well coordinated and worked the entire day. The installation had to be slightly modified in where the circuit breaker would be installed, but Manny got the change request cleared and he and I went over how the conduit would be routed from the roof to the inverter and the location of the circuit breaker. The change required different breakers and those needed to be ordered. The panels are wired all the way to the inverter, and the breaker box has wires pull to it awaiting the installation of the new breakers.
If family/friends decided on a system from Semper Solaris, I would recommend Team Tango to do the installation. I am very technically savvy and I can say that these guys know what they are doing and do not take shortcuts. They were always asking me if I had any questions, or would promptly answer my questions.
Now waiting for the city inspection and for SS to send in the NEM 2.0 PG&E paperwork so we can get the Permission To Operate!
Everyone I have interacted with at Semper Solaris has been extremely professional and I would not hesitate to recommend this contractor to anyone.

PROS - Our system is up and running in a very short time! Rob Cassidy was absolutely amazing and displayed more knowledge than all the other 5 companies we had met with put together. All the people we spoke with in the Hayward office were great! Jamie, Linda, and Scott. Installation happened in 1 day. We are generating more energy than anticipated and our smart meter is running backward during the day now. We are happily watching our Solaredge Dashboard. CONS - PG&E delays the installation if you need to do a service panel upgrade. Nothing you can do about it, but it is good to know. Other than that we are very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends. I would like to have given them 8 stars, but 5 is the limit. Very happy we went SOLAR with SEMPER!!

As a contracting manager in Healthcare, I performed my due diligence with seeking and receiving over 7 bids to install solar at my home. My motivation was of course the rising costs of electricity (no gas or propane in my semi-rural home) and the benefits of reducing the emissions footprint for the planet! The tax credit was also a great motivator! Upon review of my multiple bids I was shocked to find an approx. $10,000 difference in costs with essentially the same products and performance from the several bids, and I spoke to all the big players and a few small. Semper was my awarded vendor based on their customer service, Anela was excellent, and of course their competitive bid. Their install team was very considerate, professional, and punctual as well. My system required 34 panels and we also added a car charger. They worked closely with my roofer on the install and completed the work in a timely manner after permits were obtained. I am generating over 60 KW a day and could not be more pleased! Thank you Semper for your professionalism and overall exceptional care and products!

I'm excited to say that my new solar installation is now complete after the last 2 days they have been working on the installation. The project took about 6 weeks from the day I met with my representative Blake to today once it's all finished up on my roof. Really excited to join the Semper family only hear positive things. My friend went solar with semper Solaris over a year ago and referred me because I went to his house for a party and we started talking about his solar panels that he's been really happy with. So I made an appointment sounded really good to me and I'm really excited I won't be having to pay anywhere from $100 to $500 a month in electricity bills.

We got fed up with another solar company because it was taking them over 9 months to get approval to install our system. I looked up some other companies on Yelp and came across Semper Solaris. I sent them a message online and they reached out to me very quickly. I liked that they messaged me and were able to schedule everything via messenger/email since I am a stay at home mom and cannot pick up my phone easily. My husband and I met with Rhami the next week. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. He got us all the discounts he could and made the process super simple. We also explained to him how we had been upset with the other company we originally were going to go with because there was a lack of communication. He assured us that we could call/email him any time and he would get back to us in a timely manner. He definitely stuck to his word. We are very impressed that the whole process only took a month and a half in total (initial meeting, design, permits and install). We are just currently waiting on the inspection for the green light which would happen next week. We are very happy that we decided to go with Semper Solaris for our solar install and would highly recommend them.

We had a great experience with Semper Solaris and called them after seeing one of their TV commercials. We gave them a call and they came out a few days later. After we had our pool put in, our energy costs with Edison continued to rise. We decided to look into solar options and decided that a lease did not make sense for us, and that a purchase was the way to go. We evaluated a few other companies and decided to go with semper Solaris because they have been in business a long time, they use quality American made products and offer a great warranty. The staff was very professional and helpful at every step of the process. Blake L was our rep and after we met with him the first time we had questions here and there and he always answered our calls and texts messages right away. If you are planning on going solar or starting to look into it I recommend you meet with Semper Solaris and try to meet with Blake. He gave us more information than all the other companies we met with combined

Just completed my 2nd VERY SATISFIED year of running on solar electric power. The system was installed by Semper Solaris. Rhami H, my sales person, was TERRIFIC! Being a graduate Electrical Engineer, who retired as a senior executive in the energy business, I was directly involved in the design of my system. When I wanted to do things that were not typical, Rhami put me in touch with Semper's Director of Engineering and he and I, engineer to engineer, found a way to accomplish what I wanted.
Turning to system design, having been in the energy business, I analyzed SDGE's tariffs and determined that it was best to design a system that just met my typical usage. The first year was atypical because SDGE begins your 1st solar billing cycle BEFORE they give you the OK to actually turn your system on. Thus for some days (7 days in my case) you are forced to buy electricity from SDGE. This resulted in a higher 1st year annual bill: $56.20. I just completed my 2nd year and my annual electric bill was a mere $27.63. My solar system produced just 47 KWh more than I used which is within 1% so our design was right on target. Needless to say, i couldn't be more pleased.
Also, I recommended Semper Solaris (via Rhami H of course) to my brother who is also a graduate Electrical Engineer. He also had some unique requirements which Semper fulfilled and he likewise is very happy with his solar system. I highly recommend that you contact Rhami H at Semper Solaris for your solar system needs.

We were looking to get a solar system installed for our new home because, quite frankly, we were fed up with these massive SDGE bills. Needless to say, it was a daunting task to sift through all of these different solar contractors to see who was the best contractor. Best to me is defined as a contractor that is going to do quality work on my home, use great materials and be competitively priced. I’m a serial researcher…meaning I don’t pull the trigger on anything until I do a TON of research and learn as much as I can. Let me just save you the hours and hours of time by offering two pieces of advice:
1) Call Semper Solaris
2) Ask to meet with Roland O
Roland is very knowledgeable and answered every question I could throw his way (from how the system would be installed, what it would look like, how much money I would really save, warranty info, etc). He really made us feel comfortable about this investment. Thereafter, Semper Solaris did their job and executed just like Roland promised. Things don’t always go this smoothly with other contractors but these guys are the leaders of solar in San Diego for a reason. Follow my advice and don’t look back. I’m saving a TON of money now!

Fantastic company. Ron S, our sales rep was truly amazing. Informative and a very nice man. He never pushed us just to get the sale. He just gave us the facts on solar for us and let us decide if it was for us. Great salesman. Best sales experience we have ever had for anything we have ever purchased.
During the next 3 weeks we were contacted by the Semper Solaris team by phone and email to let us know what the next steps that were coming up. We never had to guess what was going on at any point. It only took 3 weeks to get the permits and start installing the panels. Installation took 2 days and the installation crew, Tyler, Jesus and one other, forgot his name, sorry, were extremely professional. They were on time for the 1st day of installation. They were careful to not disturb plants, flowers and landscaping around our house during their work.
Everything was cleaned up after the installation. Nothing left for us to clean up. It was very nice that they did their best to make the electrical piping as hidden as possible on the roof and the house walls. They painted all piping to blend in very well with the existing house paint. The panels look fantastic on our roof.
Next, we just needed to get our PTO from Edison to operate. Surprise, surprise. It only took one week to begin operation. Other neighbors around us took as long as 5 weeks to get their PTO. We are up and running. We are so happy with this company.
Everyone who wants solar panels, Semper Solaris in Bakerfield is THE best around. Thank you so much to everyone on the Semper Solaris team.

Amazing! It all started with Semper Solaris' consultant Genevieve J. She did a house call, answered all my questions and processed the loan application. It was so easy; No pressure. It got better...I was immediately assigned a project manager & team. An assessment technician checked out the roof then all the magic started happening. I think the lead installer was Adam (i hope I got his name right). He and his team were so nice and respectful of our home. The permit, inspection, and the connection to SDG&E happened without a hitch. I'm in a cul d sac and some of my neighbors never noticed Semper Solaris was here Everything went Smoothly.Thank you also to Veronica, Vinny, & Mark whom I also spoke with. My consultant Genevieve, didn't disapear after the initial housecall. She made herself available at all steps of the process. Thank you Semper Solaris for your focus on Quality Customer Service! We are looking forward to turning on the AC without worrying about the utility bill.

From the very beginning, starting with Francisco(?) who set the appointment. My wife Cindy & I then met with Robert C the sales guy, who displayed the most knowledge of solar power, of all the twelve companies I interviewed. He was hands down the reason I chose Semper Solaris as the vendor to install my solar system! He was also very efficient and got the permit process started right away. Next I met the Technical guy who had the responsibility of determining if solar would work on my roof. He was great! He took measurements, and was able to see right away how he would place the 18 panels on the roof. Then the installation team was fantastic. I offered them food and water and they only wanted water on the last day, these guys were great workers who worked long hours for three days to give me just what I wanted. A very nice solar system! Right away the system begin saving me money. There was a guy that I only met on the phone named Scott who was a tremendous help in coordinating the whole process. He stayed on top of the whole installation. I don't want to leave out the company office ladies who help me with the interface with PG&E, Jamie was really helpful with the interface of PG&E. Thank you Semper Solaris for having such a nice staff to make all the pieces come together for your customers.

I've been wanting to go solar for a long time but never found the right company. I've had a ton of companies come knock on my door and they all seemed shady and I got a couple of solar quotes before from local companies in my area but they were so different from each other that I didn't know who to believe. After this summer's crazy heat though and my high electric bill I knew it was time to make a decision on going solar. I called up a friend of mine who worked in the solar business for a solar manufacturer and asked him who he recommended. He told me to call Trevor at Semper Solaris and that Trevor was one of the most knowledgeable people in the solar industry. I called him up and he helped me get my 12 month of energy usage from PGE. He showed me the shade analysis of my home and had me select which roof I wanted the panels on. He then explained to me the difference between cash, PPA and loan and I decided to go with a PPA. I needed to get some roof work done on my roof and they took care of the roof and solar for me. The whole process took about 60 days and it was super easy, everything Trevor told me they would do they did and the timelines and expectations he set from the beginning of the project were met almost to a T. I would definitely recommend Trevor and Semper Solaris to anyone thinking about going solar!

It is crucial as a Realtor, to seek out contractors whom possess the integrity and professionalism to perform at a high level of service for my clients. Additionally, the basis for choosing the right contractor weighs heavily upon the initial interaction and history of the company. I look for a company that will provide the most cost-effective and timely completion of a project. I also institute these principles when looking for contractors whom will service me on a personal level. I can sincerely say that service from Semper Solaris, from the initial point of contact with my sales person, Roland O and the project manager, Mark K, was superb. Their customer service was outstanding and the quality of work very professional. Prior to making my decision to contract with Semper Solaris, I met with four other solar companies. All of these encounters were exhausting and, frankly in some cases, a dishonest experience. Semper Solaris was upfront on all costs from the beginning. They constantly updated me so I would be apprised all of the details and what to expect during the process. I would recommend them to anyone whom is considering solar. I believe they deserve more than a 5-star rating!

My husband and I decided after numerous exorbitant SDG&E bills, to go solar. However, we also needed a new roof. Ideally, finding a company that did both was preferred but we were open to going with two separate companies. Our goal was to have a quality solar panel system, roof and warranty. We ultimately received estimates from four, top rated companies. Two of them were strictly solar and the other two did both solar and roof. One of the four, was Semper Solaris.
Fortunate for us, Semper Solaris sent their sales rep, Chase C. We were impressed from moment he walked thru the door. He was punctual, polite, sincere, conscientious, patient and personable. The more time we spent with him, his work ethic, integrity and honesty was apparent. Not once did we feel he was reciting from some sales script, rushed or pressure of any kind. His wealth of knowledge about the solar product was far superior. He explained everything thoroughly and answered every single question. He proficiently computated how much kWh’s we needed, cost and loan options at the appointment. Although Semper’s solar system and roof wasn’t the cheapest price, we recognized neither was its quality and depth of their warranty. We felt it was the best value overall. The decision to go with Semper Solaris was an easy one. Even after the sale, Chase checked in with us periodically to make sure we were kept apprised of the progress.
Roof and solar installment went smoothly. The foremen, leads and installers were knowledgeable, friendly and polite. They were excellent in cleaning up the job site every day they were here. To our surprise, the solar was actually installed in one day!
I highly recommend Chase and Semper Solaris to all my family, friends and colleagues and will continue to do so.

I chose Semper Solaris because my Son-in-law did research on solar companies; & he recommended them (if my son-in-law recommends someone, I know they are good or are a good value). In addition, they are veteran owned (Im retired Matine Corps); & they offered a $500 coupon (downloadable from their site) to military.
My first contact with anyone from Semper Solaris was Genevieve. She was very informative and knew the product she was offering. She answered all our questions in a thorough manner.
Next was the project manager (John R); who kept us inform or the process and where everything was in that process.
And finally, what an AWESOME job the install team of Garrett, Chris Y, & Miguel did in installing the panels, wiring, & all the conduit. To the breaker box. They arrived when they said they would, & installed the material in a quick & efficient manner. They answered all my questions (even though I’m sure they heard them a thousand times), & showed me how the system worked. Once the system was installed & approved by the inspector; Semper Solaris took care of everything that needed to be sent to SDG&E and John always kept us informed on where the process was & if there was anything we needed to do.
Everyone we made contact with from Semper Solaris was very professional, friendly, & knowledgeable about their product.
We are DEFINITELY looking forward to saving money, & not being tied to the high cost of electricity from SDG&E.

I had my 25 panel system installed back in April 2013. Semper Solaris was relatively new but still very professional and installation on my concrete tile roof went off without a hitch.
My system is still running great and the longer days at this time of year produces more energy than expected. This review site seems to put emphasis on Semper not having it's own app! Big Freaking Deal! The system comes with the "enphase" app from the manufacturer that will give you more information than you ever want to know. I have referred Semper Solaris to several folks who, in turn , have referred to several folks. I am currently awaiting another referral check which comes in handy any time of the year.

I spoke to several solar companies and asked tons of questions to make sure I was well-informed before making this financial investment. Mike W. was by far the most patient, knowledgeable, honest and responsive sales people I spoke with. He wasn’t at all pushy, he listened to the needs and concerns of the customer, he responds to text and email in lightning speed. 2 months back I didn’t know anythjng about Solar panels and never thought of realistically getting them. Within 1 phone call Mike discussed the potential benefits and for my situation it was a no brainer!
Semper Solaris is also a very reputable company that produces the best panels on the market (Sunpower). Obviously going solar is a big-time financial investment and you want the most tried and trusted panels and partners! I highly recommend a call with Mike and the semper team. They also got all my panels up in a day and we can’t wait to start saving some $$$!

Mission Accomplished Semper Solaris! I was on the fence about going solar. We met with a couple companies and got bids. We were thinking we might do it sometime in the future. Then we met with Genevieve J. She represented a quality product made in the USA with such pride and educated us that if we didn’t act soon we would miss out on locking in the SDGE standard tier rates. With time running out we pulled the trigger. We had only a 47 day window to get a new roof, solar, and the city to sign off weather permitting.
Sean O’C. and the Semper roof crew got us scheduled, did a complete roof tear off, and installed an energy efficient cool roof with quickness. Look’s great!
Mark K. got his Semper solar crew out right after and installed our sun power generating system. The entire process was quick and pain less. One week before the deadline we got permission to turn the system on and our now looking forward to many years of going green and saving green. Can’t wait for those rebates!

I did a lot of research before choosing to have Semper Solaris install our solar system. They were great to work with from start to finish. They even corrected an issue with my electrical panel at extra charge. Melissa P, our project manager kept us informed every step of the way. This is the only solar company I would recommend to anyone looking to go solar. There was no heavy sales pressure and all the staff were friendly and eager to help. Our whole installation took less than a day. Awesome company to work with. I also liked the fact that all the panels are made in the U.S.A and not imported from China like most others that claim to be made in the U.S.A. Their warranty is better than most other companies and even if they aren't around in 25 years the manufacture will cover the warranty. Also, their warranty covers parts and labor with many other don't. I should mention that they are very cost competitive and beat many other company that I looked at but those companies' products weren't of the same high quality as the ones from Semper Solaris.

I had a FANTASTIC experience from start to finish with Semper Solaris. I had a friend who sells solar (business to business) advise me on what questions to ask and gave me three companies to choose from (that he recommended). He was really focused on the product Sun Power, which one of the companies I interviewed didn't even have access to. He just liked the warranty (he as in my friend who was advising me), the product itself and just thought it was superior to everything out there, so I was focused on a company that could get me that. My friend also wanted me to make sure that I went with a company that didn't subcontract out the work, and that fully warrantied the roof, solar and everything else I got! AND...finally, he thought it was important that I work with a company that was also a roofing company which they are.
When I met my sales rep, Genevieve J, she really blew me away with her extensive knowledge of the programs, products and other companies out there. She really knew her stuff and was honestly the primary reason that I went with this company and I'm soooooo glad that I did! She had her competition on lock down but at the same time she was NOT pushy! She just KNEW what she was talking about and made it a no brainer as to why I would work with Semper Solaris over the competition!
Pricing was great, the customer service throughout the process was exceptional, my account manager Veronica M was phenomenal, and the installers, went beyond their job description to help me with understanding the product/system, and painting the components (this was their idea not mine) to match the side of my home. All in all, I'm soooo pleased with it all AND I'm GREEN now! I not only added value to my home, but I just got ahead of the curve with my electric bill! I'm soooooo pleased and would recommend this company to ANYONE looking for a great solar company!

One thing I have to say is, these guys really know what they are doing, I will recommend them to anyone, as a hard and shop around customer, they really competed on prices and services, my salesman was Mark I, he is very knowledgeable, and professional to deal with, even I was in the ingrid business for a while, but I was surprised how knowledgeable he was, also they really went out of his way to help me try to setup my loan with Mosiac (didn't really work out), and panels, but thanks to them, pretty soon I will say good bye to my electric company, so you can pretty much kiss me goodbye with your increase rates!!!!
