Trevor is helping us in installing solar. He is amazing and did a great job in explaining the process and helped me get a great deal on my solar project. He patiently listens to our questions and try to address all your queries. I am excited for my solar project and future cost savings. Looking for Solar company was a hard decision with so much competition. After 10 meeting with many different companies I chose Better Earth. Working with Brett H was one of the best deco I’ve made. His time lines were efficient and set great expectations. He went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and was happy with the outcome. He didn’t over promise and under driver. I’ve recommended Brett to many family and friends. 100% worth my time.

I was very skeptical about someone coming to my door as I have been burned in the past. Jake had explained everything to me very clearly and answered all of my questions. I did all of my due diligence and got a plethora of quotes. I decided to go with Better Earth because of how professional and knowledgeable Jake was. The installation was done quickly and seamlessly. I would highly recommend anyone looking into solar to go with not just Better Earth, but Jake T specifically! I am extremely pleased with my decision and will continue to refer anyone who asks me about my system.

Do not be fooled by these crooks… $80,000 later and they walk away from your project claiming tampering where there was none… no proof, no explanation… they just void your warranty and walk away leaving a none working system behind… but first they collect $80K from bank and ignore homeowner plea to send a supervisor to check if what is being said to be true… they don’t!!! , do not trust or believe Mr. Martin M (some kind of nobody that voids warranties based on here say) and Mr. Dean S supposedly CEO ir one of the owners that will promise you that they will resolve the issue and get your system up and running but then gives an order to not fix the issue and not to contact homeowner… I hope you take this into consideration if you plan on going solar… Better Earth Solar is NOT the company to use for your project… Its been over two and a half years, i had to hire an electrician to repair their shortcomings and i have two batteries that are paperweights on my wall because they installed them, turned them on without connecting them to the system which caused them to fully drain and make them unusable… I hope no one else has to go through this kind of distress from deceitful companies like Better Earth Solar.

The panels began to produce 6 months ago. They’re working well and I have no complaints about Better Earth. The process was easy and effortless. Thanks

My experience with better earth was really good. I got a 7.4 system with them and my sales rep Michal M helped me with the initial design and also made sure to answer any questions along the way. He is very knowledgeable guy and made sure the there were no gaps during the installation.

Michel M did a very great job from start to finish on our project. He was very informative and answered all our questions. Better Earth and Jose M helped me get my solar installed fast, and almost did a pace loan with another company, which I didn't understand at the time. My solar is up and running in less than @ months, the other company said 7 months before they could install. Thank You Better Earth and Jose M !!! Highly Recommended. :)

I am working with Trevor to have solar panels installed. He has been great - very responsive, answered all my questions honestly and able to give us the best deal possible. The price with Better Earth was the best and they are working efficiently to make sure that we meet our deadline. I would definitely recommend them.

We liked the Better Earth program that was presented to us with significant cost savings to our PG&E bill without any out of pocket expenses. The company performed as promised. Everyone from the sales team, to the office staff and the installation crew were very knowledgeable and professional. We would highly recommend Better Earth.

Professional People from management to installers. They meet with you to ensure that you understand what Solar can and won't do. Listen to your wants, and then define a plan that will meet or exceed them. They helped get us a great loan with a company that has the same goal as Better Earth, having a satisfied happy customer.

DON'T USE Better Earth. I have regretted using them from almost the beginning. The absolute worst communication I have ever had from anyone who I was hiring to do $90,000plus worth of work on my house. I meet with the salesperson and with Marshal (I believe he is one of the area managers) 4th of July weekend 2022 and entered into contract shortly thereafter. My solar finally got activated June 22, 2023. We had no communication with the roofing company that they hired. I could not discuss any concerns or requirements that I had. They wanted to know what color shingles I wanted and that was it. Did not and would not do things the way I wanted, so I was on the roof as they were here doing the work fixing some problems that my roof had that they were just going to leave. I had to buy new skylights because they were just going to reuse the 30+ year old ones, yet again not what I wanted. In the sales meeting I had very specific instruction on where I wanted the panels to be installed. If they could not do it the way I wanted I did not want to get them. They promised one thing and then when it came to the installation, they were going to do another. I did speak with the installer, and they were able to install the panels where I wanted them. The installers did what they could to make it work, we compromised. But then they did not communicate the changes to the office to get the paperwork changed and resubmit the plan change to the city. Over one month after panels installed. FAILED FIRST INSPECTION. Serval weeks later they got the next inspection, FAILED INSPECTION 2. The worker from Better Earth had no clue how to fix the electrical problems (I was back on the roof helping him correct the problems), and the inspector found several damaged shingles on my brand new $22,000 roof that was caused by the solar installers, who "fixed it" by covering it with Henrys type Caulking. Better earth sent over more repairman, and they put more Henrys type caulk and sprinkled dirt on it to make it look better. I reached out to Better Earth and explained to them what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. Yet again no communication inside of Better Earth. Inspection rescheduled and FAILED INSPECTION 3. Yet another group of Better Earth installers showed up, with the wrong color shingles and when I explaind to them what needs to be done they said that is not what we were told was wrong (I called at least 3 times telling someone at Better Earth what the problem was and what the repair was and what the inspector was requiring). I was at the previous failed inspections and spoke with the inspector. They finally had a roofer come out and do the repairs properly. INSPECTION 4 PASSED 4/27/23. The solar panels were installed 10/31/22. Now waiting on PTO. PTO granted 6/22/23. I downloaded app and registered and signed in. No individual panel monitoring. That was one of the few things I required when I signed on with Better Earth. The other was an electrical panel upgrade and I was told no, we will downgrade your existing panel. I regret using Better Earth and would never use them again, or could I ever recommend them to anyone.

I am very disappointed with the whole team of better earth. In the past 1 year journey with this company I have been getting nothing more than just pain, waste my time and money. I have not only been duped with my money that I want it back and would look for some legal recourse in near term. There has been a serious lack of discipline in terms of * communication(what is being installed) * installation that is not even working, months after it has been turned on * failed inspection * delayed to get approvals * hrs lost working with customer service I know this team is incapable of delivering any results.

Better Earth? Worst Experience! I signed up for a solar system with Better Earth based on their competitive cost but the three month installation process has been a terrible experience and I would urge any prospective solar customers to avoid them at all costs. Specifically: After we signed a contract and paid $1,000 deposit, they surprised us with a “$1,000 city fee” that they didn’t know about previously even though they claimed they were one of the most active installers in my city. When the same salesman later put in a bid for my neighbor, he came up with the same “surprise city fee.” Installers showed up and lacked basic equipment such as a tape measure. I had to lend them one. Even though they claimed to be the most active installer in my city they did not know they needed to schedule a fire department inspection. This delayed the inspection process and city approvals. Though the city was willing to expedite the inspections, Better Earth would not accommodate a faster schedule. During the installation process, the Better Earth technician removed a tamper ring from the city’s meter, which means I will be assessed a meter tampering fee by the city. Based on analysis of my home’s energy consumption, Better Earth proposed a 5.46 KWh system. It turns out they installed a 3.8 KWh inverter, meaning that more than 25 percent of the energy generated by the solar panels that I paid for goes to waste. When you call Better Earth customer service a representative takes down your information and complaint and promises someone will respond within 48 hours. Rarely does that happen. More often than not, customer service complaints get no response at all. Bottom line: I would strongly advise against using Better Earth. They are deceptive, unprofessional, incompetent and unresponsive.

Better earth provides family friendly price and have supportive sales representatives. I would not hesitate to recommend better earth to my friends for solar power installation.
