Well if I had known this was going to be as big as a pain in the butt as it has been I would not have done this almost want you to take them back honestly. Every month we have been on the phone to Allison and a representative from you wondering why we still have a bill we were guaranteed by you guys that we had enough panels first he says maybe we should clean them we've only had them for a couple of months I shouldn't have to go on my roof and clean my pants and then we were told to get rid of clean alliance on our Allisonville Kfi and we did that this month we have an $80 bill for an end of year payment which we've only had them for a couple months not sure why we have an interview payment for medicine so there's another phone call I have to deal with this morning We have a few people who are waiting to see experience before they go with you guys the temperature and honestly even telling them are issues and they're not going to get them now

I've had horrible experience with this company. It cost me a lot of money and I'm not happy. The installation process was a pain and it took a long time. The power inverter went out and it wasn't until a month and a half later that they discovered it, and at the cost of hundreds of dollars to me.

I hate to be forced to have to leave a negative review for any company. Although after 90 days and being told they would make it right I am forced to share my negative experience with everyone. First I was promised that even though they subcontract the roofing jobs they would stand by it. Total lie beacause after the roofers punched holes in my ceiling with nails and leaving trash and nails all over my yard. The roofers tried to make it good by grinding the nails and patching and painting my ceiling. Sadly they painted all over my fixtures and made a mess of my house. Not to mention that the inside of my house was covered in dust. Better Earth said well that's your issue with the roofers. The sales man showed me only their internal reviews I trusted him and never looked at better busines burea until I had problems. Better business burea had over 23 1 star reviews that were very similiar to my experience. Only after I pointed it out to them did they start answering them all within a couple of days. My sales man was Christopher B I was hesitant to sugn up because I didn't want to deal with subcontrators he gauranteed me that the only company I would ever deal with was Better Earth Solar. I was assigned Nick and Martin when I stared having problems with their company. They are both liars and the owner of the company CEO Zain J he's on linkidin they are not responsive nor do they care please feel free to message him CEO Zain J on linkedin if their company has wronged you. I am filing a lawsuit against them and have 36 other unsatisfied customers and am looking to file a class action suite. This won't be their frist one look online in Florida they had multiple people installed and no solar connection for anywhere from 4 to 8 months.

Do not be fooled by these crooks… $80,000 later and they walk away from your project claiming tampering where there was none… no proof, no explanation… they just void your warranty and walk away leaving a none working system behind… but first they collect $80K from bank and ignore homeowner plea to send a supervisor to check if what is being said to be true… they don’t!!! , do not trust or believe Mr. Martin M (some kind of nobody that voids warranties based on here say) and Mr. Dean S supposedly CEO ir one of the owners that will promise you that they will resolve the issue and get your system up and running but then gives an order to not fix the issue and not to contact homeowner… I hope you take this into consideration if you plan on going solar… Better Earth Solar is NOT the company to use for your project… Its been over two and a half years, i had to hire an electrician to repair their shortcomings and i have two batteries that are paperweights on my wall because they installed them, turned them on without connecting them to the system which caused them to fully drain and make them unusable… I hope no one else has to go through this kind of distress from deceitful companies like Better Earth Solar.

DON'T USE Better Earth. I have regretted using them from almost the beginning. The absolute worst communication I have ever had from anyone who I was hiring to do $90,000plus worth of work on my house. I meet with the salesperson and with Marshal (I believe he is one of the area managers) 4th of July weekend 2022 and entered into contract shortly thereafter. My solar finally got activated June 22, 2023. We had no communication with the roofing company that they hired. I could not discuss any concerns or requirements that I had. They wanted to know what color shingles I wanted and that was it. Did not and would not do things the way I wanted, so I was on the roof as they were here doing the work fixing some problems that my roof had that they were just going to leave. I had to buy new skylights because they were just going to reuse the 30+ year old ones, yet again not what I wanted. In the sales meeting I had very specific instruction on where I wanted the panels to be installed. If they could not do it the way I wanted I did not want to get them. They promised one thing and then when it came to the installation, they were going to do another. I did speak with the installer, and they were able to install the panels where I wanted them. The installers did what they could to make it work, we compromised. But then they did not communicate the changes to the office to get the paperwork changed and resubmit the plan change to the city. Over one month after panels installed. FAILED FIRST INSPECTION. Serval weeks later they got the next inspection, FAILED INSPECTION 2. The worker from Better Earth had no clue how to fix the electrical problems (I was back on the roof helping him correct the problems), and the inspector found several damaged shingles on my brand new $22,000 roof that was caused by the solar installers, who "fixed it" by covering it with Henrys type Caulking. Better earth sent over more repairman, and they put more Henrys type caulk and sprinkled dirt on it to make it look better. I reached out to Better Earth and explained to them what the problem was and what needed to be done to fix it. Yet again no communication inside of Better Earth. Inspection rescheduled and FAILED INSPECTION 3. Yet another group of Better Earth installers showed up, with the wrong color shingles and when I explaind to them what needs to be done they said that is not what we were told was wrong (I called at least 3 times telling someone at Better Earth what the problem was and what the repair was and what the inspector was requiring). I was at the previous failed inspections and spoke with the inspector. They finally had a roofer come out and do the repairs properly. INSPECTION 4 PASSED 4/27/23. The solar panels were installed 10/31/22. Now waiting on PTO. PTO granted 6/22/23. I downloaded app and registered and signed in. No individual panel monitoring. That was one of the few things I required when I signed on with Better Earth. The other was an electrical panel upgrade and I was told no, we will downgrade your existing panel. I regret using Better Earth and would never use them again, or could I ever recommend them to anyone.

I am very disappointed with the whole team of better earth. In the past 1 year journey with this company I have been getting nothing more than just pain, waste my time and money. I have not only been duped with my money that I want it back and would look for some legal recourse in near term. There has been a serious lack of discipline in terms of * communication(what is being installed) * installation that is not even working, months after it has been turned on * failed inspection * delayed to get approvals * hrs lost working with customer service I know this team is incapable of delivering any results.

Better Earth? Worst Experience! I signed up for a solar system with Better Earth based on their competitive cost but the three month installation process has been a terrible experience and I would urge any prospective solar customers to avoid them at all costs. Specifically: After we signed a contract and paid $1,000 deposit, they surprised us with a “$1,000 city fee” that they didn’t know about previously even though they claimed they were one of the most active installers in my city. When the same salesman later put in a bid for my neighbor, he came up with the same “surprise city fee.” Installers showed up and lacked basic equipment such as a tape measure. I had to lend them one. Even though they claimed to be the most active installer in my city they did not know they needed to schedule a fire department inspection. This delayed the inspection process and city approvals. Though the city was willing to expedite the inspections, Better Earth would not accommodate a faster schedule. During the installation process, the Better Earth technician removed a tamper ring from the city’s meter, which means I will be assessed a meter tampering fee by the city. Based on analysis of my home’s energy consumption, Better Earth proposed a 5.46 KWh system. It turns out they installed a 3.8 KWh inverter, meaning that more than 25 percent of the energy generated by the solar panels that I paid for goes to waste. When you call Better Earth customer service a representative takes down your information and complaint and promises someone will respond within 48 hours. Rarely does that happen. More often than not, customer service complaints get no response at all. Bottom line: I would strongly advise against using Better Earth. They are deceptive, unprofessional, incompetent and unresponsive.

Better Earth team is lying from the salesperson to the man on charge with the installers no one has a idea who is doing what making a lot of entrees to homeowner calming my selves. They sell the panel and give you a contract that doesn't math what the salesperson verbally tells you and the installer do whatever they want on the layout even they have a layout to follow and finally the people on the office that supposed to help you just denied everything to be responsible for their employee's mistakes getting on your face that the contract is for their benefit not the customer. I asked to fix their mistake and the only answer was not our problem anymore is yours and we don't care about customers we care about out money (I hope the RME and the owners of the business see this so they can help future customers with these mistakes but if they don't care who will

Per contract the MPU needs to be upgraded and it was recommended by Neil Avelino (Engineer) to meet my future expansion (hook up fifth wheel and install level II charger for EV.) which require 200amp circuit breaker. Per contract Better Earth is suppose to complete it by 10/1/22, but it was not done, and they didn't provide any update. I called them several time asking for status, they they kept saying waiting for PG&E approval. I waited until December still got no update from Better Earth, so I called PG&E and learned Better earth made a mistake when submitted the application and indicated the power is above ground, not under ground (My house power is under ground) that is why PG&E planner approved it, but then rejected after PG&E learned the power line was under ground. But Better Earth did not tell me the true. They've been hiding from me and lying. The mistake caused by better earth, but they never admitted their mistake and kept playing blaming game by blaming on PG&E and kept me in the dark all along until I found out by myself, then Better Earth came back and told me on the Better Earth has work around and got approved by PG&E and will be able to do the MPU upgrade by relocate the gas regulator. They continue lying to me again I contacted the PG&E and I was told better earth is not going to upgrade the panel, they just do like for like main panel update to change the circuit breaker to 125amp which will not meet my future expansion requirement. Better Earth try to fool me, take the money and run. So I request the refund and cancel the contract. I don't trust better earth anymore. Do not go with better earth. They can not be trusted. They did not honest from beginning they will not honest later on when the system fail, they will not respond and fix it right away.

Better Earth put panels on my roof the first week of October 2022, and failed the city inspection because they didn’t complete the install at the meter. Well, it’s the first week of January 2023, and they still haven’t come back to finish the job. I call their offices/phone centers multiple times a week and get the same answer that this is new info and a team member will call us later that day. Initially this seemed like a promising installer, very polite and communicative, but feel screwed over completely at this point. Literally no follow through or accountability for products or services. Avoid this company at all costs.

I was sold on the design and power production that i wanted. my sales person was very accommodating and explained the cost and power production. This was in Sept 2021. it took over 3 months to get solar panels installed. The day of install, panels was install not according to plan that I agreed upon. called the service number and was told that I had no say as to how the install of the panels. Called the project manager he too was not aware of the design change. been going back and forth with Better Earth customer service and till this day nothing has been resolved. only the employees that were sent out to repair the service request saw it was not installed correctly and had multiple safety violations, from safety violations to panel (breaker). 2 service techs where set out to repair both times there was nothing they were able too fix do to poor judgment of the installer and design team. now they are saying they are escalating my project to so call higher management and keeps going on with the same excuse. They know they messed up and I'm one of the main reason they are having a lot of meetings due to poor customer service to poor design. but yet they still don't want to admit their mistake. I'm 100% disabled Veteran and added STRESS this company has been dealing me is causing me a lot of health problems. it has gotten so bad that i have been taken to ER 4 times since Jan 2022 to present. the last stress attack i wasn't able to seek transportation myself and had to have ambulance take me from my home to a civilian hospital and now have a bill of 14,500. My project manager have reached out to me with other solutions and i have agreed to design change and was given a $2,000 discount on my $63,000 purchase agreement just to get this project to pas CITY INSPECTION that has already failed once. so i get another CITY inspection after the new agreement and it FAILED again. (as mentioned earlier on this review). I have contacted the financing company they have contracted for my solar project and have requested to stop any funding until this cluster F**k has been taken cared and they where very helpful with the my request and concern. I am not asking for anything for free but to honor my original plans that was agreed upon since they are at fault. Better Earth does not honor their contract and imposes changes without your approval and will tell you that YOU (me the customer PURCHASER not LEASEE) have no rights. so to my fellow veterans, consumer, future customers i STRONGLY suggest you seek solar elsewhere.

Do not trust their judgment on roof condition I'm sure you'll bee reassured " don't worry we will warranty your roof" but, it only covers their penetration. Simply put, my roof was inspected post better earth inspection, pre-insatllation; three roofers say "your roof is shot" "5 years past due". Better earth says "don't worry let us install we will take your panels down for a small fee" against my better judgment is say "ok" THIS STARTED IN MAY NOW IT IS OCTOBER MY PANELS DIDNT PASS THE FIRST INSPECTION, I HAD TO UNINSTALL THEM MYSELF BECAUSE THE SMALL FEE WAS OVER $1700 TO TAKE DOWN THE SYSTEM NOW MY WARRANTY IS VOID I DONT HAVE A WORKING SYSTEM AND THEY WANT $2500 REINSTALL. I HAVE TO REINSTALL MYSELF! WHY DID I PAY $35,000.00 FOR THIS SYSTEM? ( THE SYSTEM CAN BE PURCHASED ONLINE FOR $16900.00) STUPID ME! AND, YOU'D THINK A COMPANY WOULD BE A LITTLE MORE ACCOMMODATING. IT JUST SAYS THEY CARE VERY LITTLE ABOUT THE BACK END. JUST ANOTHER OVERPRICED SOLARS SALES CO.

It's been 6 months and our service has still not been activated! Sure the panels and electric are hooked up but we are not receiving solar power. The last 2 months we have been sending messages and they replied that it's the city's (Phoenix) fault so I went to the city. It turns out that they are waiting for the correct paperwork to be sent to them from Better Earth. Now Better Earth are not returning calls or emails. Horrible company. They owe me a new roof!!

Read reviews on BBB. Company is never on time. they left a mess on my roof, first rain washed all parts the left. I has a popped tire. I have had panels on my roof for months and still not hooked up. I have to keep calling them. They were supposed to hook up 6 wires into electrical panel. they ran 4 so it didnt pass inspection. Still waiting on solar power to be turned on. In meantime they use crappy hardware to attach panels to roof. that allows pigeons to roost under. I cant use a quote from another company as it voids my warranty I am told.. Stay way from this company.

Consumers beware, DO NOT USE BETTER EARTH! I signed with them back in September 2020 and I still don't have working solar panels. Failed first inspection, poor communication, left exposed wires, moved my trailer into neighbors yard and didnt move it back, and dug up a concrete expansion joint. Vendors and representative unprofessional, insulting , cussing, and non responsive.

Horrible company. Took months to finish and when they finally did, i was left with a damaged panel that they were unable to diagnose or repair so, had to have a real electrician come out to fix their damage. Better Earth never paid for the repair. Never even called once to apologize or find out the status of their overpriced install that took 9 months.

Better Earth scammed us by installing lower watt solar panels and inverter not in signed contract. Better Earth damaged our roof tiles with cracks, broken pieces, holes exposing roof sheet. The installed panels not aligned and wire bended sticking up visible. Better Earth lied about city permit & HOA documentation.

Per our agreement, we will always install at minimum the kW system size listed in contract, or greater, we will ensure we uphold the kWh performance guarantee, or greater. This is done through sometimes installing higher wattage panels in case we did not have the specific wattage available at that time, which will only deliver additional energy to you. If this was not done then we 100% need to address and correct this asap!!
Any damages or faulty work is also fully our responsiblity to fix and make right, and lying is completely unethical and never tolerated. So sorry if that is what you experienced and we are dedicated to making it right.

Intalled 7 months ago and the inverter is shot. Panels haven't been producing for amost a month. When I call(3x) all I'm told is they have escalated my service to highest priority and someone will contact me within 48hrs. So far no calls even when i told them it was my 3rd call...stay clear of this company. No way they'll be around for 25 years

With regards to your battery installation, we rely on the expertise and the decades of experience from our operating managers to find the ideal location to place the batteries in a location that will pass inspection while also attempting to accommodate the placement desires of the homeowner. Occasionally where we need to place the batteries does not align with the homeowner's request, as is the case for your project.
