Sleep Number offers a lot of its mattresses on sale throughout the year, so you can often find them for a lower price than the original one. There are also deals available as you scroll through the website, such as $50 off a mattress when you sign up for the company’s emails, or other promotions that pop up as you are browsing for mattresses. 

Ideal for Couples

All Sleep Number mattresses come with dual adjustability — meaning you and your partner can manually adjust the firmness on your side of the bed to fit your individual sleeping preferences. Some mattresses also come with the ability to raise or lower one side of the bed, which is part of Sleep Number’s PartnerSnore technology and meant to help you stop your partner from snoring by gently adjusting their side of the mattress.

Sleep Number’s SleepIQ technology helps you not only track your sleep and movement during the night, but also track your actions throughout the day to determine how your habits might be affecting your sleep patterns. This can help you know where you can make small changes in your day to achieve more restful sleep.

Trial and Warranty

Sleep Number offers a 100-night trial on its mattresses, which is fairly standard for the industry. Its full warranty lasts 1 year, and after that, its limited warranty is 15 years, which is longer than we’ve typically seen. Under this limited warranty, you may still be responsible for a percentage of the cost associated with repairs or replacement parts.

Bed Core

Most of Sleep Number’s mattresses are air beds, meaning they are more like an air mattress (albeit a more comfortable one) than a memory foam mattress. Sleep Number does offer a couple mattresses with memory foam, but this is not the norm. If you are a big memory foam fan, then Sleep Number might not have the right mattress for you.

2 Distinct Sides of Mattress

Because of Sleep Number’s Dual Adjustment technology, most of its mattresses have two distinct sides that can be adjusted differently, which creates a bit of a divide in the middle of the bed. For couples who prefer to sleep close together, this is not ideal.
