Tecta America

I asked this company to fix flashing around one of my chimneys that was leaking. I paid around $400 for this service. The roofer from tecta america fixed the flashing by applying caulk around the top, which is not only a temporary fix, but another roofer who properly fixed the flashing informed my that the caulk was positioned in a way to cause water to back up, making the problem even worse. It is too kind to call these people "incompetent". I called to try and get them to make it right, and they refused, telling me they "don't stand behind their work" and "there was a storm, and that caused your new leak so we arent going to make it right".

I contacted Tecta on 19 September 2023 because I had a leaking roof, and they installed the roof in 2018. The roof has a 15-year warranty so there should be no question Tecta needs to make this right. Tecta's website says they fix leaks within 48 hours. Well, it is 18 October 2023, and the leak still needs to be fixed. They cannot even tell me whether they will fix the roof within the next two weeks. There is no value in a warranty that a company will not honor or claim they have emergency service if they cannot stop a leak after for weeks.
