Their multi-faceted search algorithm helps customers better find the type of home they are looking for that will meet all of their specifications. Simply said, Rent.com connects renters to rental properties as quickly as possible in the most efficient manner. Their team continually verifies the information given in a listing to make sure their customers only get an accurate portrayal of the rental property before making a decision.

One of the ways they do that is through what they call the Legit-A-Master. This is the team of employees who go through listings and make sure the information that is given is real and honest. They verify reviews, make sure pictures are high-quality and useful, and overall check all of the information given. When a listing has been completely checked by one of these team members it gets a "Legit" badge to let the customer know all the information has been verified. It can be really hard to tell if a listing is actually as good as it says it is, so this added service is a great benefit to the customer. There are a few unique features that the Legit-A-Masters make sure to check in order to give the customers all the best information. One of these features that really stands out are the tenant reviews. It is very difficult to understand what it would be like to live in a place until you have actually lived in that place, even if you read all the descriptions and information given about the home. So reading the experience of someone who has or does live in a certain area or complex can be very beneficial to the customer to get a full idea of what they might experience. The other feature that really helps the customer get the most accurate depiction of the home are the floor plans and high definition photos. These are very professionally done so that the customer can really see if these places will fit their style.

Although some of the features available to Rent.com's customers are unique compared to their competitors, they are not available to anyone who is looking for a new place to live. As their name suggests, the only listings through this company are for properties for rent. This excludes a large number of customers who are looking to purchase their next home instead of renting it. For those customers, they miss out on some very informative, reliable listings for possible homes. This is not a unique deficit in the real estate search market as there are several websites who are devoted solely to rental properties. But that doesn't change how many customers are excluded. A similar issue that Rent.com has is that they do not partner with any agents. This could possibly be an issue for those customers who feel they need some help with their search for a new place to live. An agent is a good resource for customers who have not had much experience finding a home or moving. Also they are very helpful for people who are moving to a completely new area and do not know much about it, then they can talk to the agent who has more knowledge about the intended city. For many customers, having an agent to help them is a great benefit. But on the other hand, many customers do not like the use of an agent and prefer to go about the search on their own. If this is the case then Rent.com's listings will be very helpful to them.

It takes out so much of the guess work and allows customers to focus solely on those listings that are deemed legit.
