Hatfield Law offers a free consultation or case review. This can be done in-person or over the phone. Other lawyers often charge a fee just to meet with clients to determine whether or not there is a valid case and how to move forward. This free consultation or case review is very helpful to clients and shows the firm’s dedication to their best interest.

David has been practicing law since 1980 and his son, Ryan, served as a deputy prosecutor and a state representative in the Indiana General Assembly. Few Reviews

While all the customer reviews are very positive, there are not many available. It would be useful for the company to provide a space on the website itself where clients could post real-time reviews, and demonstrate a level of transparency that would be unique in the industry.

Fewer Resources 

As a smaller firm with two lawyers, Hatfield Law may not have as many resources as larger firms. When clients choose a national or multi-region firm, like Cooley, Davis, Wright, or Tremaine, the chain of offices can draw on the experience and availability of a large number of lawyers.

For cases with complexities beyond the norm, this could be a disadvantage of working with a smaller firm.

Regional Focus

Because Hatfield is only licensed in three states — Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky — clients who have legal matters in those three states can benefit, whereas clients in other locations will need to find a larger firm with a presence that can manage paperwork and appearances, while understanding state or region-specific law.
