ACT Online Prep is the official website for the ACT exam. It is a non-profit organization with nearly 60 years of research. Since it is the official distributor of the ACT placement test, prep courses for the SAT are not provided. There are four different packages available with resources ranging from on-demand videos, Official ACT Prep Guide, and practice questions supplemented from previous ACT tests. Offered as a free resource, students can practice with the ACT Academy program. Other courses range from $25–$99.

I used ACT prep materials in 2 college classes of mine (the professors used them as homework) and they were incredibly through and helpful. I loved that the level of difficulty and the type of problems offered would change based on if you got something right or wrong and that you could really master a subject through that. However, I do wish it was more possible to skip to another unit if you needed a break from what you were working on. It would make me continue to practice the same unit when sometimes I would've just preferred to work ahead in another area for a while and go back.

ACT Online Prep helped me immensely to prepare for my ACT. They provide practice exams, questions, and answers to help you practice. I was able to improve my score and get into the college that I wanted to by taking the time to practice the kinds of questions I would be asked. The ACT Online Prep gives you questions that are worded so similarly to the actual test. This is what helped me the most when I was studying because I could start to understand what things were really important or being asked of me when it came to testing. As well as they help you with time management and how to get through all of the questions.

In highschool, the ACT Online Prep was a great resource for studying. It helped me realize what areas I needed to study more in and also really help me learn how to manage my time. I was able to finish all the sections on the ACT both times I took it and I think a lot of that had to do with the practice tests I took with ACT Online Prep.

Although ACT Online Prep is very pricey, the website also provides a lot of free resources. Through the ACT a website, I found multiple free practice tests which helped improve my AP score. I am confident that purchasing the complete ACT Online Prep will only increase a students score.

My children 5 years apart use the example test practice for reviewing for their ACT exam. I wish that my children/students were able to take part of the exams instead of the entire test in one setting. I feel they could have focused more and mastered the score if they were able to break down parts of the exam.

From my experience the ACT prep can often help a student raise their scores. This is particularly true if the student puts in the time and does the things ACT suggests in order to be more proficient at taking the exam. I've seen students raise their scores several points following the ACT suggestions.

The website is hard to use because it's down for maintenance often. I found that using hard copy practice tests are more effective than online ones because the actual test is hard copy. It doesn't quite prepare you for the real thing.
