Subscription Plans

USLegal offers two subscription plans to those who need unlimited access to various legal forms. 

The Basic plan gives users unlimited access to over 85,000 US legal forms. You can easily and quickly download personal or business use documents. You can also store any form you'd like online and print them out whenever you need them. 

The Basic Plan costs $8 per month (if you sign up for the annual plan). If you choose the monthly plan, you will pay $39 per month.

USLegal's Premium plan includes all the Basic plans features plus Document Management, E-Signature, Online PDF Editor, pdfFiller, SignNow, Completion Services for Last Will, Power of Attorney, and Living Will/Health Care Directive, and 50 percent off Business/Legal Entity formation services (a discount up to $150). 

The Premium plan costs $15 per month (with the annual plan). But if you choose the monthly plan, the cost jumps up to $59 per month. 

Once you sign up for a subscription plan, all documents are immediately available to you to access, print, or download. 

All data is stored in U.S.-based Amazon S3 data centers with military-grade physical security. Additionally, any data you send is protected with a 256-bit encryption algorithm.

You can cancel your USLegal Forms subscription at any time. There are no contract requirements and no penalties for canceling.  

Form Accuracy 

Each year, USLegal's expert team of lawyers and paralegals adds new forms and updates to the existing ones to ensure the industry-leading quality is maintained.

Throughout the company's 20 years in business, USLegal's team of lawyers and paralegals have been working hard to build the largest state-specific legal forms library.

If you need help, USLegal has a live chat feature in the site's header that connects you to a customer service representative. There is also an 877-number in the header if you prefer to call. The customer service department is available Monday–Friday 7:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Central Time.

USLegal will not file legal documents on your behalf — you will need to complete, review and file them yourself. USLegal does not provide any other legal services either. There were a few other things that are concerning regarding the USLegal service:

Lack of Social Presence

This company has been around for almost 20 years. Scores are not based on what a company's social media presence is but USLegal has less than 50 likes on Facebook. For a company that has been around as long as it has, it should have jumped on the social media band wagon long ago to get a better presence in that space.

No Free Trial

A free trial from USLegal would help potential customers feel comfortable with using their products and services. There is a money-back guarantee but those conidering using USLegal may be more willing to sign up if there were a promotional deal offering the first five documents free, for example.

It would be beneficial to both USLegal and potential customers to have a free trial available for anyone interested in using the services of USLegal. 

Individual Advice

There is an Ask a Lawyer live chat feature on the USLegal site that will answer basic legal questions. However, you will not be able to speak with an attorney for personal guidance or have an attorney review your forms before you file them.

Limited Educational Resources

USLegal's website does not include any information about the accuracy of its documents or the crediblility of the advice in the legal guides and handbooks. This makes it difficult to determine that you are reading the best legal advice and purchasing the correct forms for your needs.

Website Organization

Navigating USLegal's website can be a challenge. The site layout is inconsistent, so sidebars and features may move as you click from page to page. In addition, you will not be able to click back to a previous page once you're on certain pages. This may create some additional confusion and wasted time spent looking for what you need.
