Referral Services

The referral service provides information on centers, clinics, bar associations, and attorney offices in your area. You can narrow your search by county (within the state of Texas) and the legal topic you need assistance with. Areas of assistance include:

Free Online Documents

While other legal services charge per document or require a subscription, TexasLawHelp offers free online legal forms. Every document comes with a toolkit that includes instructions on filing, frequently asked questions, and articles regarding that area of law.

Available in Spanish

TexasLawHelp offers all of its website information, including documents, in the Spanish language. This is a big plus considering the size of the Hispanic population in Texas.

TexasLawHelp offers multiple resources to help its customers. The “Ask A Question” section is a helpful resource for those who do not understand or have questions regarding their legal case. You can choose from the following resources:

  • Search a Question and Answer Bank
  • Find out how to chat with a lawyer or law student
  • Learn about a way to get questions answered by a lawyer over email
  • Get answers to questions about the website itself

The Bad

  • Undisclosed Information
  • Limited Availability

Undisclosed Information

Unfortunately, TexasLawHelp does not provide the prices for its legal center, bar association, and lawyer referral service. Those needing legal representation will find it helpful if prices were available.

Limited Availability

TexasLawHelp is currently available in the state of Texas only. If you need legal help in a different state you will need to find a company that offers legal services in your area.

The Bottom Line

TexasLawHelp provides access to multiple resources and free documents to help you with your legal questions. This legal service is best for those residing in the state of Texas and is limited in their knowledge of the law and/or are low-income. This site provides a great way for everyone, even those outside of Texas, to find information regarding their legal questions. It is definitely a place to consider when looking for legal help.

Chester Vandergrift Plano, TX

I've needed legal information on several occasions over the past few years, and I'm ALWAYS referred back to this place, which is completely useless and a waste of time. I get the SAME response from Texas Law Help as I do from the government agencies that claim they handle the issues I'm having....and I get the exact SAME cop-out response from ALL of them, "there's nothing we can do"!!! Worthless, useless, and I have no idea HOW this place stays in business, if the only response they know is "there's nothing we can do"!!!
