Signing up for Hily only takes a few minutes. You can use your Facebook account to automatically fill in personal information questions. The app auto-selects your best photos and estimates an ideal age range based on your age. However, you can always go back and change the selection if you don’t approve. Hily has a free version but you may have a hard time selecting that option during sign up. The online dating app promotes its premium membership available in a weekly, three-month, or yearly subscription. If you sign up for the weekly membership, you receive a free seven-day trial to test out the premium version. The free trial includes all the premium features except for boosts. Cancel your trial at least 24 hours in advance or you could get charged for a premium subscription

App Security

The Hily App uses advanced safety protocols to promote a positive user experience. During signup, Hily requires users to link to their Snapchat or Facebook account to filter out fake profiles. You may also choose to take a live photo or send a picture of your photo ID for verification. 

Each user has a risk score to measure unusual activity. A risk score may increase due to problems such as complaints by other users, suspicious activity patterns, verification status, length of conversations, offensive messages, etc. If a user passes the maximum risk score, he or she will be removed from the dating app. Risk scores are only available to the Hily staff members for review. 

Online daters often have a hard time finding sites that protect against scammers and fake profiles. The fact that Hily has these verification requirements helps the dating app stand out amongst its competitors. 

AI Matching System

The Hily app uses basic machine learning algorithms to improve match quality.  The matching system relies on the data you provide through using the app. The more you use the dating app, the more accurate your suggestions will be. The compatibility check feature gives you an estimate of how compatible you are with another user. The number is based on a simple compatibility quiz taken during the initial signup. Popular live streams qualify for rewards. Each person who joins your stream counts as a diamond. Accumulating enough diamonds can help you achieve different reward tiers and cash prizes. Boosting your profile can help encourage other users to join your live stream. 

Hily has a strict code of conduct for its streaming service. Some rules include refraining from sharing political opinions, streaming while another activity requires your attention such as driving or cooking, requesting money or donations, etc. Members should read over the streaming policy before joining the site.

Compared to original dating apps such as Tinder and Bumble, Hily does not have as many members. The dating app was released a few years ago and continues to grow in popularity. Best Company has not received enough Hily reviews to make a final recommendation backed by the user opinion. However, based on secondary research, Hily seems like an effective dating app to try.
