The Bad

  • Expensive Tuition

Expensive Tuition

One of OU's greatest strengths may also fuel its greatest weakness. With a student to professor ratio of four to one, students are able to get a ton of instructional support, but it comes at a cost. Each course can cost students as much as $1,785. That is a lot to pay for a three credit hour course. When compared to other online schools the cost is nearly three times higher at OU. Students will have to weigh how much they value the individual attention they will receive at OU before paying for their education.

The Bottom Line

OU gives students the luxury of an on-campus education in the comfort of their own home. The student support at OU is unprecedented, but comes at a high price. Tuition at OU is one of the highest among online institutions because of the money it takes to maintain a four to one student to professor ratio. The program provides some of the best support for students available along with some of the best variety in programs. OU offers a quality education that is accessible and flexible. In order to apply for admission to Ottawa University, prospective students will need to complete the following process:
  1. Create online portfolio
  2. Fill out online application
  3. Submit required documents and test scores
