The Good
- 90% Job Placement Rate
- Undergrad and Graduate Degrees
- Financial Aid
- Flexible Program
90% Job Placement Rate
DeVry University is unique in that students have the option to attend classes on an actual campus or do them online. With campuses all across the nation, students who perform and learn better in a class room setting will have the ability to do so, while students who work full-time or do not live in close proximity to a campus will be able to receive an education online. DeVry boasts of their 90% job placement rate, which means students who actively looked for employment found it within the first six months following graduation.
Undergrad and Graduate Degrees
DeVry offers both undergraduate and master's degrees and their programs are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and they are also a member of the North Central Association.
Financial Aid
To offset the tuition costs, DeVry offers $75 million in grants and scholarships to students who qualify and meet all requirements. DeVry also offers additional help to those who serve in the military and give scholarships/grants to the dependents of those in service.
Flexible Program
DeVry allows students to learn at their own pace and in the setting they desire. Schedules for students are flexible, and there are even evening and weekend classes available for students who wish to go to a campus. Online students can watch their classes whenever they have the time, however there are deadlines for assignments.

The Bad
- High Tuition
- No Doctorate
High Tuition
The costs and fees for DeVry, on average, are much higher than other online universities. DeVry has a lot of resources for their students (which include actual campuses), which may be one reason the tuition is higher than other online universities. Tuition fees do not cover books and other related costs.
No Doctorate
While DeVry does offer undergraduate and graduate programs, they do not offer Doctorate degrees at this time. There are other online universities that do offer doctorate programs. The diversity of DeVry's programs is also not as extensive as other schools. They have five basic colleges, with programs within those colleges, which means students are a little bit limited if they choose to go with DeVry for their education.

The Bottom Line
DeVry offers quality online programs that allow students the flexibility they need to succeed. The tuition and other associated fees are little high, but there are financial aid options available to help students cover the costs. They have a high job placement rate and have several resources students can use to help them in their careers. They are a little more specialized, only offering five different program areas, but the students who complete those programs have a better chance of landing a job.
