I have had two children attend BYU. They have had to take a few online classes the last few years because of COVID. They already had a lot of them set up before COVID so it was an easy transition for most of their classes when they had to change. It's a great school with a GREAT education.

I a combination of BYU Independent Study, Online, and on campus classes while at BYU. When it came to my online classes I really liked my professors and the course content. Those classes can sometimes get pushed to the back of your mind, so just remember to stay on top of them.

BYU is a great school and their online programs aren't any different. They have great programs geared to help the learner become self-reliant in education and gain greater spirituality.

I do NOT like using BYU’s online system, Independent Study. I took a couple classes online and the material was outdated and some of the requirements for one class were impossible to accomplish online, but it didn’t say that anywhere! They really need to make some changes if they want people to take more online classes.
