The Good
- APA-Accredited
- Excellent Health Science Division
APA-Accredited
Argosy is very adept in its psychological sciences field. They have an accreditation from the APA, as many colleges and universities with online degree programs often only receive a general, regional accreditation. Argosy University's undergraduate online classes charge a per credit hour rate of $561. Graduate courses, depending upon the college or academic unit, range from $618-$930 per credit unit.
Excellent Health Science Division
Argosy also has a very good health sciences division, offering degrees in nursing, veterinary medicine, and other health-related disciplines. Argosy users, across different review sites, also boasted of the small class sizes in face-to-face and online class settings, meaning that students could interact one-on-one with their instructor.

The Bad
- Difficult to Transfer
- Digital Materials Fee
Difficult to Transfer
One of the issues with Argosy was that, due to their massive infrastructure, it could be difficult to transfer to another Argosy campus. Facts of life dictate that one has to move, from time to time.
Digital Materials Fee
Argosy also charges a "digital materials" fee of $85 or $95 for master's and doctoral students and a residency fee for doctoral students. This cost inflated the cost of a master's or doctoral degree at Argosy University. There are also concerns about job placement because Argosy does not include their job placement online and was not able to verify this important statistic through an enrollment counselor.

The Bottom Line
While their tuition rate for undergraduates was reasonable for undergraduates, that is not the case for those pursuing secondary education. The tuition for graduate degrees at Argosy is somewhat pricey, and adds up rather quickly after the digital materials fee and the doctoral residency requirement. Think very carefully about your career potential with an Argosy degree before considering their master's and doctoral program.
