LockTight Energy Efficiency

LockTight Impact Windows & Doors is committed to enhancing energy efficiency through its high-performance products and installation practices. The company’s impact-resistant windows are designed to reduce energy consumption, improve home insulation, and lower utility costs. LockTight achieves increased window energy efficiency in some of the following ways:

  • Low-E (Low Emissivity) glass coatings — This type of glass coating minimizes heat transfer while allowing natural light to enter your home.
  • Multi-pane glass — Multi-pane glass enhances thermal efficiency, keeping your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
  • Argon gas insulation — When injected into the space between window panes, argon gas acts as a thermal insulator, keeping your home cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
  • UV protection — LockTight’s impact glass reduces up to 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting interiors from fading while lowering cooling demands.
  • ENERGY STAR® ratings — LockTight windows meet or exceed ENERGY STAR ratings, ensuring compliance with the highest energy efficiency standards.

With the technology listed above, LockTight improves insulation and reduces heat transfer, helping homeowners save on energy bills year-round, enhance home comfort, reduce carbon footprints, and promote sustainability. LockTight products not only protect against hurricanes but also contribute to long-term energy savings and environmental responsibility.

LockTight Hurricane Protection

LockTight Impact Windows & Doors specializes in providing hurricane-resistant solutions designed to protect homes from extreme weather conditions, including high winds, flying debris, and heavy rain. The company’s products are engineered to meet or exceed Florida Building Code (FBC) standards and Miami-Dade County hurricane impact requirements, ensuring maximum safety and durability in storm-prone areas.

LockTight’s hurricane-resistant windows include the following features and benefits, designed to offer your home the greatest protection in the fact of inclement weather:

  • Heavy-duty construction — Windows are made with reinforced aluminum or vinyl frames to withstand high pressure.
  • Laminated, multi-layered glass — Windows use impact-resistant glass with a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer to prevent shattering.
  • Wind resistance — Windows are tested to withstand hurricane-force winds exceeding 150 mph.
  • Flying debris protection — Windows are designed to resist penetration from airborne objects, preventing structural damage.

LockTight’s impact window solutions provide year-round protection, ensuring safety, durability, and peace of mind for homeowners in hurricane-prone regions. The company’s expert installation and quality materials make LockTight a top choice for storm-proofing homes in South Florida.

Jeron Vandannoor Mountain View, California

The initial experience with this company until making me sign the contract was very impressive and convincing. The online reviews except for 4 or 5 bad reviews were mostly impressive too, because of which I decided to go with this company for insulation of my impact doors and windows. But based on my experience I now strongly believe that the 4 or 5 bad reviews were the only real ones and the rest were fake and made up by their own people. I really regret my decision of selecting this company and realize that this was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. When I went to the city to file a complaint they told me that they are receiving multiple similar complaints about “Lock tight”. I signed a contract on November 16th 2025 during which Mr. Isidoro L. promised me that the work will be completed in 10 to12 weeks & not 180 days as mentioned in the contract. He also told me that the payment will be obtained from my loan company only once the job is completed which was a big lie because they obtained the full payment within a few days of starting the job which forces me to think that this was a trap and a deal between the loan company and Locktight. 100% financing offer is a big scam and a trap. Please don't fall for it. They started working on my house on March 4th 2026, took down all my doors and windows. After doing just the basic door and window insulation they basically abandoned the job. They left my house in a big mess inside and outside. They left the shims around the doors on which made me fail the inspection. Most of the old frames, glasses and other debris were left in my front yard. They did not install the screens for the sliding doors and they left most of the work unfinished. Not only that, when they were installing everything they had promised that all the furniture and the other stuff in the rooms would be covered and protected from dust & dirt, but nothing was done properly. The coverings that they did were just namesake & so the dust was flying all over inside the house which created a big mess throughout my rooms & furniture. They did not do the cleanup or protect the rest of our house from the dust as it was mentioned in the contract. The workers were not skillful at all which is very clear from the quality of the work they have done. There are gaps under my front door and sliding doors big enough for mice and lizards to get inside & the gaps were not sealed properly because of which dirt and dust enters the house and water enters easily when it rains outside. After multiple attempts, one day they sent a guy who came to my house & tried to fix the gaps under the doors and windows using a piece of tape like strips of felt-like material which was of no use in fixing the issue. Because of the poor quality of work the city inspector did not pass the first inspection and one of the reasons was the window installation was not done properly and the window was not "easily egressible”, which the inspector explained was important in case of a house fire. Since then I have had no updates from this company nor have they answered my calls. If anyone wants more information or wants to see the so-called “commercial installation” of doors and windows by a company who claims to be the best in this business. I strongly encourage you to think multiple times before you make the decision to select or sign a contract with “Lock Tight Impact Windows Doors and roofing” company for your installation needs. I really want to mention one employee in particular Mr Jeff C. who is very rude and always in a hurry and impatient while talking on the phone. He does not seem to care or listen and does not talk to you respectfully. I also have a great concern on how this company will be dealing with a customer if one has to use their 15 year warranty that they offer on their products and work. It has been almost 200 days now that they have started working on my house & left my house in such a big mess and never bothered to show any interest or initiative in completing the job. I now know that they were interested only in getting my money and once they obtained the full payment they now have no incentive in completing the job anymore. I do not recommend this company to anyone even if they offer the installation for free.
