Marvin was founded by George G. Marvin in 1912 in a small town called Warroad, Minnesota. By the 1960s, Marvin had its own fleet of trucks and had added patio doors to its product line. Over the years, Marvin grew from a few dozen employees in the 1950s, to a few hundred in the 1960s, to more than 4,000 today. Marvin is focused on the “build around you” principle, which promises to build any window a customer wants.

The Good

  • Over 100 Years in Business
  • 20-Year Warranty
  • Variety of Products

Over 100 Years in Business

Marvin has been in business for over 100 years. They are focused on expanding and growing their business to satisfy homeowner needs. They have developed a brand that is trusted by their customers and their employees. If you are looking for a company that has a lot of experience in window installation and door renewal, this is a company you don't want to overlook.

20-Year Warranty

Marvin offers a 20-year warranty on most of their products. The warranty automatically comes with the product when you purchase it. Receiving a 20-year warranty on the product you have purchased gives you confidence in the company you have chosen to do business with.

Variety of Products

Marvin offers a variety of products and services not only for windows, but also for doors. With multiple options and styles, you are guaranteed to find exactly what you are looking for. Also, you have the option to request consultations, where a professional will help you identify what you need in your home and what style will fit your taste the best.

The Bad

  • Limited Coverage
  • Undisclosed Prices

Limited Coverage

Marvin only covers 8 of of 50 states in the US. This makes it difficult to find a consultant or a dealer if Marvin window replacement services are not in your area. You might be more successful working with window companies whose coverage is more complete.

Undisclosed Prices

Unfortunately, Marvin doesn’t disclose prices on their corporate website, making it difficult for potential customers to discern whether or not the company is a good fit for their financial needs.

Marvin company is focused on the “build around you” principle, which promises to build any window a customer wants. With a large selection of products and a 20-year warranty, you are likely to find exactly what you are looking for. I had Marvin Infinity series (low e glass) installed in my kitchen last year. The kitchen went from the coldest room in the house to the warmest. Excellent product. Better than the replacement by Anderson. Please note: the Anderson window fit into the existing opening with NO nailing flange. Marvin windows have a nailing flange. Installers pull back the siding and replace it after the windows are installed. They match everything perfectly. I would never never install a vinyl window in my home!!!

I dealt with Guido lumber in San antonio, a local dealer. They helped work through the selection I had found on the internet, Marvin's website. Marvin has a great website with a lot of information and Guido lumber help me finish the order. The windows are very good quality for the cost.

we did a lot of research into using Marvin windows when we built our home. they were great with nearly everything we needed. the only reason we didn't go with them is because we had a few specialty widows that we needed and they just couldn't manufacture them to be done when we needed and the cost of those was quite a bit more then the company we ultimately went with.

Owned a house with Marvin wood windows in it. The windows worked great and looked great even though they were older.
