US Standard Moving has a B- Better Business Bureau rating. The reasons listed for this rating are the length of time the business has been operating and that 14 complaints have been filed against the company. 

According to the Better Business Bureau, US Standard Moving has only been in operation since 2019. When looking for a moving company, it is recommended to hire one that has years of experience and a proven track record. Of the 14 complaints filed, four complaints were for delivery issues, five complaints were for problems with product/service, four complaints were for advertising/sales issues, and one complaint was for billing/collection issues.

No In-home Estimates

While US Standard Moving offers free online estimates, it is recommended that a client has a thorough walk-through estimate in order to get the most accurate estimate possible. Without a thorough estimate, clients may have unexpected additional fees or costs added to their final bill. 

Non-refundable Deposit and Balance Paid in Cash

US Standard Moving requires a non-refundable deposit of up to 30 percent of the estimated total cost. Moving companies that do not require a large deposit are generally recommended. If a client pays in advance, they may not have control over when their items are delivered. For canceled moves, the deposit can be credited towards another move within 24 months. 

US Standard Moving does not offer payment flexibility for the remaining balance. The balance cannot be paid with a credit card and must be paid in cash, cashier’s check, or money order upon delivery. For interstate moves, a client may need to pay the balance before their move crosses state lines. 

Unable to Guarantee Pick-up and Delivery Dates

According to US Standard Moving’s Terms and Conditions, it cannot guarantee pick-up and delivery dates. The company tries to maintain pick-up and delivery dates as close to the requested ones as possible.
