While this may be explained by it not providing interstate moving services, American Choice Movers is not registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Being registered with the Federal government and having a U.S. Department of Transportation number is required for interstate movers. It is also seemingly not registered with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. Another issue with its licensing is displayed prominently on its website; it lists a spot for its license number but the number is missing.

While American Choice Movers displays claims to have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) on its website, we were not able to verify that the company is registered with the BBB.

While it does say it is licensed, insured, and that it has a high rating with the BBB we were unable to verify this information. It is important that you only work with a mover that is licensed and insured both to protect yourself and your possessions. We are also concerned that when we attempted to verify whether American Choice Movers did have an A+ rating with the BBB that we did not find them registered with the Bureau. You should proceed with caution when booking this moving company for your upcoming move. We would recommend that you ask to see proof of its licensure and insurance.
