I can't say enough good things about the Boxstar Movers team I worked with. This was my first time hiring a full-service moving team (in a big interstate move, no less) and they did such a great job all around.
Thank you to Danny who worked with me through the estimate process (especially during the peak of summer moving season). I checked out a couple other interstate moving companies in the DMV and they either seemed suspiciously cheap and had a ton of complaints on DOT's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Mover Database or didn't have any complaints, but were extremely pricey and were clearly going to nickel and dime me on every cubic inch I'd have in the truck (and I wouldn't even have a dedicated truck to myself). Boxstar Movers was in the sweet spot: zero complaints in the database, a binding estimate that was fair and dispelled my concerns of hidden fees/upcharges, and a big truck (with a hydraulic ramp) dedicated to my move.
MASSIVE thank you to Seiit and Charles who were my movers and are absolute athletes. They were supremely kind; helped me pack; handled the 14+ hour interstate drive; communicated along every major step; and moved large furniture, 45+ boxes, and various free weights (including pairs of 65lb and 45lb dumbbells) up *FIVE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS* without a complaint and while cracking jokes. I'd be happy to work with them again anytime.
My move was so much less stressful because of the Boxstar Movers team -- they're fairly priced and worth every dime.
