STDcheck.com gives customers a safe opportunity to avoid an awkward or uncomfortable situation by ordering their STD tests online before visiting one of more than 4,500 convenient labs nationwide to provide a blood and/or urine sample. Patients receive their results in just one to two days without setting foot in a doctor's office.
STDcheck.com does everything it can to ensure that its customers' information is kept safe and confidential. STDcheck.com's system is protected by a 128-bit SSL encryption and the health industry's standard HL-7 interface. Additionally, there are no forms or paperwork to fill out at all STDcheck.com's testing centers.
STDcheck.com has over 4,500 STD testing centers located throughout the United States. Patients can find an STD Test Center by entering their zip code into STDcheck.com.
Many of the locations are open Saturdays.
STDcheck.com offers tests for chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, genital herpes, oral herpes, HIV 1 and 2, and syphilis. Patients can order a package to test for multiple STDs, or if they prefer, they can order individual tests.
STDcheck.com's Full Panel STD Test checks for the most common bacterial and viral STDs and costs $198.
STDcheck.com claims that patients that visit the STD testing centers generally spend less than five minutes in the lab. Patients simply walk in, drop off their samples, and walk out.
After ordering a test, patients must visit one of STDcheck.com's testing centers. While there are locations all over the nation, some consumers may find this frustrating as it takes time, gas, and money to visit a physical site. Many other companies in the industry offer at-home testing kits, where patients can quickly and conveniently take a sample within the privacy of their own home.
STDcheck.com does not accept health insurance, meaning patients have to pay for everything out-of-pocket.
STDcheck.com accepts other payment forms such as credit cards, debit cards, prepaid gift cards (bearing the VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express logo) cashiers checks (money orders), PayPal, health savings accounts (HSAs), and flexible spending accounts (FSAs).
There is also a "Pay Later" option. Patients can order a test online and visit a lab to be tested before paying (labs cannot accept payments). After visiting the lab, patients can log on to their online account and pay or call the company to pay over the phone.
Patients can cancel their order at any time before they visit the lab. Refunds will be issued, but there will be a 20 percent cancellation fee. Patients will be given credit for future testing if cancellation is requested after 21 days of purchase.
STDcheck.com aims to eliminate the embarrassment and hassle of conventional STD testing. Patients can order a test online, visit one of STDcheck.com's STD Testing Centers, and receive their results in just a few short days. Results are entirely private, as they are not reported to insurance companies and not placed on permanent medical records.
STDcheck.com does not offer any at-home testing services and patients cannot use their insurance to help cover some of the costs, so consumers will have to be okay with paying for the test upfront. However, STDcheck.com does offer multiple payment options and even a "Pay Later" option.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
