Summary

The Home 2.0 is a wireless medical alert system that does not require a phone landline. The system works with a nationwide cellular network that gives you access to Medical Guardian's 24/7 monitoring station at any time. The system comes with a wearable medical alert button, which has a 1,400-foot range from the base unit. The following is included in the package:

Base Unit: Sleek cellular base unit can be synced with included wearables in addition to supporting wall buttons. It features Smarti Voice Assist technology.

Wristband (with Interchangeable Help Button: Sync this lightweight silicone wristband to your base station for 1,400 ft of coverage. Available in your choice of black or white.

Necklace (with Interchangeable Help Button): Sync this lightweight pendant to your base station for 1,400 ft of coverage. Pendant available in your choice of black or white.

Wall Charger and Adapter: Keep your base unit and backup battery charged with this charging cable. If your power fails, the backup battery will activate and last up to 32 hours.

Equipment Warranty

Medical Guardian also offers a lifetime warranty on all its products. If for some reason the equipment is damaged or malfunctions, Medical Guardian will replace it free of charge. Having free equipment and a lifetime warranty on all products ensures money for equipment never has to come out of the customer's pocket.

The warranty does not cover lost or damaged items. However, Medical Guardian offers a protection plan for $6.99 per month that would cover those circumstances.

Cancellation Policy

Members may cancel their Medical Guardian services at any point without charge. As opposed to companies such as Life Alert, you won't be locked into any long-term contracts with the expectation of buying out. This allows customers to try out Medical Guardian to see if it is the right medical alert provider for them without having to commit to the service for a long period of time.

I looked at different services, what they covered, and their price. In the end I went with my best choice and that was Medical Guardian. They just offered the device that I wanted and I knew they would take care of me. I wear the wrist monitor all the time. I'm so used to it that I take it out with me without noticing. I know it doesn't go that far but I just do that. When I go back home I try and remember to put it back on its charger. Other than when I set it off accidentally, I haven't had to use it. When that happens, whoever answers the phone is usually very polite and understanding. They never go off on me for interrupting them with a false alarm. There are other services out there that are cheaper but you don't get the same components with them. With Medical Guardian I feel like I'm getting what I want and it doesn't matter if it costs a bit more. It's makes me feel comfortable to know that it's there. It gives me a sense of security.

I did a lot of research checking how much it cost, what the package had, and decided to get Medical Guardian. I feel very secure in my home with it, especially since I have a 2 story home and live alone. So far I haven't had to use it, but I've pushed the button two times by accident. The first time I didn't know I had done it and the local response team came out immediately. From that point onwards I knew that they would respond right away if I needed it. The second time happened when I was dusting and I accidentally hit the base unit. They called me back within seconds to check that I was alright and that was it. If I have questions, I can call their customer service and they will answer them. It is a little expensive but it's certainly a lot cheaper than hiring someone to check on you all the time.

I'm 72 years old and I live in a building for homeless veterans. I've fallen numerous times because the VA has changed up my medication a lot. I haven't fallen in a while, now I just get dizzy. Once I fell on the floor because I couldn't get a hold of anything. It just hit me suddenly. I tried to get somebody to go to 308 where Stevie lives so that they could get the keys from him to come and help me. It took about an hour and a half before someone finally went, got the keys, got to me, and took me to my bed. I know some other people heard me but they didn't do a thing to help me. After that I knew I had to get something so I went through a couple of them before picking Medical Guardian. I wear the marker on my wrist and I also have one around my neck. I've tested it twice, one by mistake, and a lady came up on the phone immediately both times. I told her it was a mistake, and that I was ok. They've been good to me and always respond immediately to my needs. It does put a little strain on me. It's $30 a month and that's taken out of my bank account. It takes away from the money that I use for my bills. I wish they were a little less expensive but they have taken good care of me so far. I hope nothing ever happens to me where I need to use it but if it does I know they'll respond immediately if I need it. They've done it in the past and I thank them for that.

I told my children about these services. They wanted an idea of what to get me for Christmas and I thought that, since I'm a widow living alone across town, I needed to have something like this. It's more of a back up in case something happens to me. My son is very good at comparing and looking things up, so he did his homework on these services and thought we should go with Medical Guardian. It just sounded good and, so far, it has been every bit as good as they said it would be. I can use it in my home and backyard without having to worry about all the other things that come with it. Since my backyard is not huge, the main system can pick up on things well while I'm out there so I make sure I have it when I go out there. That's important for me because I have rocks in the backyard. They're not real huge, but they're bigger than gravel, so it's very easy for me to turn my ankle or fall. The only time I had to use it was for testing. They actually suggest I test it once a month and I've tried to do that to make sure everything is online and working. When I push the button for my test, they answer very quickly. They are also very friendly and alert. I realized that a lot of times it's just a recording, but it is reassuring and gives me the sense that I'm protected, that's what I wanted it for. I pray I never have to use it for a real emergency. For now it's doing well. It gives me assurance that somebody will be there to help me if I need them. Both my children and I are very happy with it, it gives us peace of mind.

They seemed to be the best one when I was looking at a different medical companies. I'm living home alone and so I figured to get something, I saw them advertised, this Medical Guardian and that's why I called them and it sounded really good, everything's working all just fine. I slipped in my shower, I got the call button at the bottom of my shower and stuff like that I hit it and the response is here immediately and things like that so it worked out really good. They're doing what they said they were going to do and that's exactly medical alert. I tried them and they keep up to what they are supposed to do and all that plus the price, I like the hanging pendant it's good and I got the shower button and everything like that, so yeah it covers the whole house and everything. I also got the medical pendant button if I'm going out and notifies me so yeah it works out really good.

I was in a nursing home some 2 years ago and they said I needed to have Medical Guardian or some kind of medical alert system. My youngest daughter went through them and picked them out because she thought they were the best. We paid the first year's premium and we've been renewing it every year since. It's easy to make payments. I live on Social security so now I pay as I go and it's very reasonable. I'm happy with it. I have both the necklace and the wristwatch, but I wear the necklace the most. I can leave it around my neck all the time, day and night. I've used it several times and they take me to the hospital if I ask them to. When I fell on the bathroom I was able to hear them very well. A year ago, in February, I fell while I was working in the house with a little girl. I moved a table and when I turned around I think I blacked out and fell on the floor. I broke my hip so when the little girl tried to help me up I told her not to. I pushed the button and she went and got someone else to help me. The girl came back with help at the same time that the police arrived to help me. They have always been good to me.

We just went online, and through searching we found out that Medical Guardian was pretty much the best one out there for my mother. I have recommended it before. She wears the one that's like a necklace, and she seems very happy with it. She uses it when nobody is home or and she's in the house pretty much by herself. So far, every time she's had to test and reset the button every month or so, she's always had somebody come right on the line. We've never had any trouble with customer support at all. We've been very pleased with it, and she can take it out with her when she goes outside or anything.

I checked with different services and since the price for Medical Guardian seemed reasonable and the service was good, I went with them. So far I have been fortunate in that I haven't had to use it. My home is small enough so that I don't need to wear it all the time. Of course, if I'm not feeling well I put it on and keep it on me. Most of the time though I use it when I go out of the house. When we've called them we've gotten a quick response. The price that I pay for the service is excellent. I'm happy I have this, I feel comfortable knowing that if I do have an emergency they'll be there for me.

I had researched other companies, and they can't give me the undivided attention that Medical Guardian gave me. They answered all my questions, so they understand exactly why I needed it. I had a very bad heart condition and I kept passing out at the park. They told me "We're here to help you. We call your family members and other numbers that you give us. You don't worry about that; you just press the button and we're there to help you." It was like security for me. I love the medical device. I have the one for the wrist and it is awesome; can't beat it. I can wear it in the shower, wash dishes with it, o wear it if I'm out at the pool or the playground with my grand babies. I also love their customer service. I can call and ask questions anytime, and they answer them. One night I was on my way by myself to the hospital'I wasn't feeling well'and the agent stayed on the phone with me all the way until I got there. Once I arrived, I needed someone to help me get out of the car, and the police and ambulance were right there to help me, thanks to them. Another time, when I came home from church one Saturday, and my husband had been outside in the yard, he came in and said that he did not feel well. He sat down and passed out on the floor. Right then Medical Guardian came in handy because I had to use it for him. They were there to help me in a time of need. The person that came on the line stayed with me until the EMS came. It turned out my that he'd had a heart attack. I've been telling everyone at my church with medical conditions that they need to get one, and gave them as much information as I could about Medical Guardian. It's the best thing to have.

I first got Medical Guardian after I saw a promotion for it and so it's run pretty well. It's for my father and he likes to take it into the shower, he finds it most useful. Fortunately we never have had to use this system, but we all feel safer knowing he has something to take care of him. It's really worked out well, it's helped him to stay in his home longer than he could have.

It's easy. I pushed the button while I was doing laundry and I wear it on my wrist and they were very responsive.
