Crate and Barrel

The king-size quilt I ordered from them is a gorgeous autumn gold. Substantial but not heavy, pleasantly textured on one side but not scratchy, and very warm. It's 100% natural fibers (linen front, cotton back, AND cotton fill) so it was just what I was looking for when shopping for sustainable bedding. Amazing value for the money, too. Linen quilts usually go for ~$400 and up ... even though it's only half linen, it was still a great price and I adore it. I haven't washed it enough to see how it'll hold up to that, but it's looking good so far. I ordered it in August last year but it was delayed due to COVID. I expected it to be two or three weeks but it ended up being more like 6 or 7. I wish they'd been a little more transparent - I would've preferred to be told "at least 4 weeks" and then have it pushed back once instead of the three or four times that ended up happening. Although I suppose I don't know what was going on on their end and they did tell me upfront it would be delayed. When I asked customer service about it, they DID discount the quilt - although only to the current price - it was on clearance and the price dropped further while I was waiting for it to ship. Would've been nice if they did that automatically, as a courtesy, when they sent me the delay notification!
