Founded in 1962, Yogasleep all started with a traveling salesman, Jim Buckwalter, and his wife, Trudy. As the two traveled, the couple realized that Trudy often slept better in motel rooms than she did at their home.
The reason?
The soothing sound of the air conditioning unit in the motel rooms was enough to lull Trudy to sleep. So, Jim got to work, creating something that would replicate the constant whirring noise of an air conditioner. Jim's dubbed his simple device a "sound conditioner."
Since then, Yogasleep has sold an estimated 4.5 million Marpac sound machines.
Every Yogabed and Unplug mattress comes with a 10-year best-in-class warranty. The warranty applies to defects in materials and workmanship.
Yogasleep offers free FedEx ground shipping within the continental United States. On top of that, the company does its best to get all orders to its consumer's doors within 3–5 business days. Consumers should be aware that products may arrive in several shipments, as the company owns several warehouse locations.
Consumers are welcome to return any product purchased on Marpac.com or Yogabed.com within 101 days — at the company's expense. The company does ask that consumers use the wait at least 30 days before deciding to return a product, as it can take a while to get used to a new and improved sleep experience.
If customers are not satisfied with the Marpac Yogabed or Unplug Mattress — and have tried it out for at least 30 days — they can contact the company and Yogasleep will arrange to have the mattress picked up, at no charge (manufacturing tags must still be attached).
Additionally, sound machines and other sleep tools that are purchased on marpac.com are backed by the 101-night trial. Consumers who aren't in love with their sound machine or sleep aid (after 30 days) can ask for a return and Yogasleep will send a return label and refund the money, no questions asked.
Consumers who prefer to use another online retailer for their Yogasleep product can find Yogasleep's products on the following popular online retailers:
Yogasleep even includes a list of international retail partners, so consumers outside of the United States can find retailers that ship to their country.
Although this isn't a company policy, consumers should know that some states (California, Rhode Island, and Connecticut) charge a mattress recycling fee when a mattress is purchased and the charge is non-refundable.
Currently, Yogasleep does not ship internationally. However, consumers outside the continental United States can check out the company's international retailers page to find a store that does offer international shipping.
Additionally, the company does not ship to P.O. boxes.
Yogasleep got its start in the sleep industry with its sound machines, but since then has expanded and now offers a variety of products. Consumers can purchase mattresses, diffusers, bed frames, pillows, sheets, mattress protectors, and weighted blankets.
The company has a generous return policy and a mattress warranty. While the company doesn't ship outside the continental United States, it does offer a variety of solutions — including a list of retailers that sell Yogasleep products, which will ship the products internationally.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
