Sit ‘n Sleep is a mattress retailer with 38 locations in Southern California. You can shop online, in-store, and over the phone.
The company sells foam, hybrid, innerspring and memory foam mattresses from a variety of brands, including Aireloom, Beauty Sleep, Beautyrest, Corsicana, FiveStar, King Koil, Kingsdown, Primo, Sealy, Serta, Sherwood, Stearns & Foster, Technogel, and Tempur-Pedic.
In all, they offer more than 190 Queen size models to choose from, with about 15 options under $500 and more than 85 models over $1,000. A few of their mattresses are available for nationwide shipping, including the Primo Galaxy Plush innerspring mattress, the Primo Simba memory foam mattress, and King Koil foundations and bed frames.
Sit ‘n Sleep stores also sell box spring and foundation options, furniture, bedding and pillowcases, and specialty products like mattress protectors and platform beds.
If you join the VIP email list, you get access to special discounts like $100 off any purchase $999 and over, although the offer excludes Tempur-Pedic and iComfort products.
Sit ‘n Sleep employees aim to be “sleep experts.” Each consultant has several months of training about sleep health and customer service. They visit factories of top mattress manufacturers to better see what goes into a mattress.
Shoppers will benefit from a computer diagnostic test to find the best type of mattress for their body when shopping in stores.
Stores also feature a helpful Health & Allergy Center to help shoppers achieve a good night's sleep with a hypoallergenic pillow or mattress protector, as well as other products that protect from bed bugs.
Sit ‘n Sleep aims to be a low-price leader. It offers a 30-day price guarantee. It will match prices advertised via radio, TV, newspaper, or internet and sold in the Southern California area. This is a good way to know that you are getting a great deal.
Free local delivery is available on products over $399. Local deliveries also get free set up and old mattress removal, and a four hour window.
A 60-night sleep trial is offered at this retailer. It normally takes several weeks to break in a mattress before it reaches a comfortable feel. In light of this, you must sleep on the mattress for 30-days minimum. After that, you can go back to the store and select another mattress of equal or greater value. There is a 20 percent restocking fee, not to exceed $500. This is a one-time exchange and no refunds are available.
Financing options are available with Synchrony Financial, Fortiva Financial, and Cross Check.
While it is great that the company offers a 60-day comfort trial, the catch is the 20 percent restocking fee. Many other mattress retailers do a $99-$100 restocking fee. Bringing the fee up to 20 percent means that most mattresses will require a larger than average restocking fee. This is not a free mattress exchange.
Sit 'n Sleep claims to sell more mattresses per store than any other retailer in the country. This would make sense, considering its huge selection of innerspring, hybrid, and foam mattress models to choose from, in several price ranges.
The company offers three financing options, an average sleep trial, a great in-store experience from well-trained staff, a diagnostic test to find the best sleeping option for you, and an on-site allergy center to help shoppers with extra needs.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
