The Good

  • Payment and Financing
  • Time in Business
  • Popular Brands
  • Platinum Protection Plan
  • Mattress Delivery

Payment and Financing

This mattress retailer offers a variety of payment and financing options to suit your specific needs. Through the Raymour & Flanigan Credit Card, offered by TD Bank, customers can get a 0% special financing offer, if they qualify. For normal purchases, the card has a standard 29.99% APR. This is the standard retail credit financing rate for most mattress and furniture stores.

Time in Business

Raymour & Flanigan has been in business since the Goldberg brothers opened in 1947. For the last 70 years it has worked hard to gain the trust and the confidence of their customer through offering competitive prices, outstanding customer support and multiple financing options to fit the needs of customers.

Popular Brands

Raymour & Flanigan offers a large popular brand selection. If you decided to buy a mattress from this furniture and mattress store, you can choose from the following brands:

  • Beautyrest
  • Tempur-pedic
  • Serta
  • Stearns & Foster
  • Sealy
  • Bellanest
  • Aireloom
  • King Koil

With Raymour & Flanigan you will be able to find exactly the mattress you are looking for by using filters on their corporate website. You can filter all of the products by size, comfort, price, type, and even benefits that might come with the mattress.

You can even chat online with a customer service representative if you have any questions about furniture or mattress policies.

Platinum Protection Plan

This retailer offers consumers a 5 Year Platinum Protection Plan for its mattresses. This plan covers cuts, burns, punctures, and common stains, which most mattress brands do not include in their protection plans, because they may interfere with warranty terms. This is definitely a benefit for Raymour shoppers.

Another incentive to pay for Platinum Protection is that it adds a 45-day comfort guarantee for mattress purchases. This helps to ensure that you don't end up wasting hundreds of dollars on a mattress that isn't comfortable.

Mattress Delivery

When you purchase a mattress or mattress set over $500, you could be eligible for free next-day delivery and removal of your old mattress. Deliveries are made seven days a week and your eligibility will depend on where you live.

White glove delivery service is available within less than three days to most areas in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

The Bad

  • Mattress Return Policy

Mattress Return Policy

Raymour & Flanigan doesn’t offer the best return policy in the mattress industry. The retailer offers a 45-day Mattress Comfort Guarantee, as part of their Platinum 5-Year Protection Plan.

If you are not satisfied with your mattress after sleeping on it for 30 days, owners have 15 days to re-select a mattress with assistance from a manager at the mattress store.

This is a one-time exchange and you must choose a mattress of equal or greater value, paying the difference. You are responsible for the original delivery fee and the redelivery fee. The Platinum plan is not available on all mattresses and has an add-on price starting at about $100.

If you do not purchase the protection plan, all sales are final.

The Bottom Line

Raymour & Flanigan has been offering its products and services to customers for more than 70 years. It offers in-store financing and a large innerspring and foam mattress selection. However, if you are not satisfied with your mattress purchase you can only exchange it if you have purchased a 5-year protection plan.

I love the management there miss Fatima is the best ! Customer service communication is OK. The mattress I'm not feeling. This is my 3rd time returning the mattress because it was defective. UNBELIEVABLE!⁰ I have credit there so I have to get a mattress from there. I have lupus and R.A. It would be good business for the mattress company for Raymond and Flanigan give me extra credit towards a better mattress.

Purchased a nectar copper hybrid which was a lot of money on sale. I also purchased the platinum protection plan. I went back in a couple of weeks telling them I couldn’t sleep on it and it was giving me backaches. The manager of the store told me I should keep it because the memory foam needs a chance to expand. He told me it would be even better to have kids jump on it so it expands. I don’t know why I didn’t go back immediately after. For some reason I thought the plan to exchange the mattress was longer than 120 days. Eight months later I am waking up with a backache every day. I sleep very restlessly because I am so comfortable. I should really have returned it before. For some reason I thought I had a year with the protection plan. I even had to buy a mattress protection cover which is so thin I had to put another mattress cover on top of it. I gave it 2 stars because our sales person was very nice.

Never again! I would NEVER purchase from them again. Worse customer service. Very dismissive and condescending. When I was finally able to choose a mattress and it was delivered. It was super hard. Checked the label and it said EXTRA FIRM, after me specifically telling the customer rep I wanted MEDIUM FIRM. After a lot of run around they finally said they'll come get the mattress. I ended choosing another mattress that was medium firm and asked if that mattress wasn't comfortable if I can return it?!. The rep said yes. The mattress came, first few days were uncomfortable. I called back and they told me it needed to broken into. 2 months passed and I'm still experiencing excruciating back pains. When I called they told me my comfort plan was only for the exchange of the last mattress so I couldn't return the one I had. Even though the rep told me I was able to return. This company is a total rip off. I'm out over $800 and I haven't had a good night's rest since I got this horrendous uncomfortable mattress. I'm convinced the only reason this company was able to stay relevant it's because of their scamish ways! Worse company ever!!! I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

Spent 1800 on a recliner that feels absolutely nothing like what we tried in the store. We drove a half hour to the store to avoid this. What we have is a chair that is so uncomfortable to sit in that it hurts our back, our feet barely touch the floor. we called the store and they’re playing pass the buck, said something about a fee that could cost us up to 50% of the purchase. The bottom line is this chair feels nothing like the one we picked out. As further “white glove delivery service”😂 These guys rushed the chair into our living room, put the back on crooked and couldn’t get it off. I had to supply tools because this guy was trying to use his car keys to pry the back of the chair off. His partner bailed on him and never came back. Could be the reason the chair don’t feel right but I doubt it. We’re willing to exchange it for something else but if they don’t make this right we will cancel the pending sofa and won’t be coming back. Now I will explain why I gave them a one star on everything: Value for money: it’s so uncomfortable we can’t sit in it. Quality: seems tough, Especially on my back. Customer service: remains to be seen Trustworthiness: Remains to be seen

I spent over $2000 on a mattress. I was told it was the best company with quality products. I was not told about their mattress policy, however they did keep offering mattress protection plan. If I was told about their mattress return policy I would have purchased their protection plan, or I would have not gotten a mattress in the first place. They screwed up the delivery date, I specified that I did not want next day delivery. Anyways, the delivery truck showed up and I had to make arrangements. I slept on that mattress and it was the worst experience, hard as a brick!!! The mattress that I tested at the store was perfect, soft like a pillow, but the delivered one was a cinder block. I called customer service the next day (less than 24hr) I was told unfortunately all mattress sales are final and because I did not pay the extra $150 for 45 days of sleep they can't help me. Honestly? I spent over $2000 and the best they can said is sorry but you out of luck. WORST COMPANY! I should have taken my business elsewhere.

Purchased a mattress box spring at Raymour and Flanigan online, I selected my delivery date and was never informed the product is out of stock until a day later. Other websites when you order something they usually tell you if the product is out of stock to allow you to decide whether or not to proceed with the purchase. I got a call the next day to state they do not have the product in stock, no info was given as to next steps or when they could have it in stock. Finally the product arrived at the store and I went to pick it up , brought it home to discover a DEFECT, a rip in the box spring. I called Raymour and was told “it’s only a rip , that doesn’t affect the performance of the product “ Really? But you didn’t advertise a ripped defective product when you sold it to me. I asked for a refund and was told I’d have to pay a 20% restocking fee. Sounds like they are selling defective products any which way to make money off people and if you return it they still make money. How is that ok? They don’t even offer an exchange!!! Customer service said “ well the rip is on the bottom where no one would see it”. Really? So if your customers can’t see the defect it’s ok? Such poor customer service

This company bites! Bought 2 new mattresses and box springs. They were supposed to take away old mattresses and box springs. I had a Queen and a Twin. Fortunately I already got rid of the Queen during some construction. They took the Twin box spring but then told me the mattress was stained. It had a dirt mark on the side because it was against a wall for years. No stains on the top or underside! I even had a plastic cover for it and they said we can't take it. They must not take 90% of the mattresses they replace then! What a joke. Will never purchase anything else from them in the future!

I purchased a mattress, and it was hard as a rock! So I returned and got a new one, and still hard as a rock. Eight months later, waking up with body aches. I am Now stuck with a $900 mattress because they only allow a one-time return, and customer service would not even work with me—a waste of money. I will never buy another piece of furniture at Raymore and Flanigan EVER!!!!

Worst customer service ever. Rude, curt, and dismissive. The delivered a mattress a different size that ordered. I called the manager and he said he was going to hang up on me because the conversation was going in circle. No effort made to resolve the issue. Went in person and he stood arms folded telling me he couldn't do anything to help. Spoke to a regional manager same thing. Now i have to dispute my credit charge and take them to small claims court, even when the acknowledge the mattress was not the size advertised.

They advertise that they will take you old mattress, What they do not tell you is if there is any marks on your old mattress, they won't take it. Bait and switch at its finest. I will never purchase anything from this store in the future.

I purchased a queen size pillow top mattress from them and because I didn’t purchase there protection plan I am out $825. I swear they are selling inferior products. The mattress is not only too soft but sinks in spots. Very sorry I purchased from Raymore and Flanigans.

Terrible customer service, won't help us with mattress that sinks so bad it's like sleeping in a tub except to tell us there is nothing wrong with the mattress. Will never ever use them again for anything.
