Keetsa is an online mattress company that further innovated in the bed-in-box industry by creating the technology to ship coil mattresses in boxes, reducing shipping volume by 65 percent. With three different mattress cores and six different models to choose from, Keetsa has mattresses that will fit a variety of sleep needs and are conveniently shipped straight to customers’ doors. Keetsa mattresses can also be found in hotels throughout the country ranging from boutique hotels to resorts.
Keetsa offers three different mattress cores: iCoil, memory foam, and hybrid. The iCoil mattresses have individually wrapped coils that offer balanced support by separating weight and motion. The coils also provide more breathability, reducing heat. Keetsa’s memory foam mattresses have a core of BioFoam. Keetsa’s BioFoam is a double layer of memory foam that conforms to body shape to create a pressure-free sleep. The hybrid mattresses combine the best of both mattress types by integrating Keetsa’s high-tech memory foam with its responsive iCoils.
For consumers who cannot afford the upfront cost of a new mattress, Keetsa offers financing through its partnership with Affirm Financing. Upon checkout, consumers can receive quick approval through Affirm by providing basic information and quickly getting a real-time decision. Consumers can split the price of a Keetsa mattress into monthly payments at 0 percent APR for a term of three, six, or twelve months. Monthly payments have flexible payment methods through Affirm by using a check, debit card, or bank transfer.
Keetsa offers free shipping on all orders, regardless of how big or small, to the 48 contiguous states of the United States. For an additional shipping fee, Keetsa also ships to Hawaii, Alaska, and most parts of Canada. Most orders can take up to five to seven business days to be delivered. Delivery on oversized items, however, may take up to ten business days.
Keetsa mattresses contain certified polyurethane foam that meets CertiPUR-US standards for content, emissions, and durability. CertiPUR-US approved foam is made without ozone depleters, flame retardants, mercury, lead, heavy metals, or formaldehyde. The treated fabric in Keetsa’s fire barrier does not contain fiberglass and has been tested, inspected, and certified by Standard 100 by OKEO-TEX. This inspection indicates that the cotton fire barrier fabric used by Keetsa meets the human-ecological requirements for skin contact. Keetsa’s fire barrier also fulfills requirements by Annex XII of REACH for the use of azo colorants and nickel release. The fabrics Keetsa uses also meet the American requirement for lead content in children’s articles.
Keetsa is committed to improving its environmental impact. Most memory foam is made with 100 percent petroleum oil. Keetsa’s BioFoam replaces 12 percent of that petroleum oil with castor bean oil, a plant based oil. Additionally, Keetsa mixes green tea extract into the BioFoam formula to help maintain freshness without using chemical deodorizers or treatments.
The fiber in Keetsa’s mattresses is made from recycled plastic bottles. To ensure that the fiber does not contain any harmful substances, it is produced in a sustainable production that removes harmful substances right from the start and is tested by a third-party certification organization. Keetsa’s mattress compression technology reduces volume by 65 percent. The reduced volume provides different options for delivery beyond delivery trucks, not only keeping its mattresses more affordable, but reducing its carbon footprint as well.
Keetsa is continually challenging itself to create more sustainable solutions. Its research and development team work to test new ingredients and materials that will increase the amount of green ingredients in its products.
Keetsa is also committed to the well-being of people locally and globally. The company donates part of each mattress sale, totaling to $30,000 each year, to Operation Smile: a nonprofit that provides safe and effective reconstruction surgery and medical care to children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip or cleft palate. Keetsa also sells soy candles and donates half the proceeds to Charity: Water. Charity: Water works to bring safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
To help customers find the perfect mattress, Keetsa offers a Match Wizard. By answering questions about sleeping position, firmness level, sensitivity to movement, and sleeping temperature, Keetsa provides mattress recommendations to help fit the customer with a perfect match.
Although Keetsa offers a 90-day return policy for mattresses, comfort layers, pillows, and box springs, the policy is not as lenient as other competitors such as Casper. Keetsa requires customers to try its products for a full 30 days and asks that you speak to a representative about comfort issues before initiating a return. If customers are eligible for the return, they get a refund of the purchase fee less a return processing fee of 10 percent. It is not clear how a customer returns a mattress as Keetsa does not disclose this information on its website.
Keetsa offers three separate cores and six models to fit the sleep needs of any customer. The materials used in Keetsa’s mattresses are more green than other mattress companies, and the mattresses are tested and certified by major organizations. Keetsa also offers a slightly better warranty of 12 years, compared to other competitors who offer 10-year warranties.
While Keetsa’s mattresses are affordable, they are slightly more than other competitors. Keetsa’s return policy is also not as lenient as other online mattress companies, which may be a deterrent for customers who have not previously purchased a mattress online.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
