The Good

  • Price range
  • Reach
  • Special features
  • Resources and learning materials
  • Experience
  • Customer support
Price Range
There is no cost for job seekers to use LinkUp. Job recruiters are charged with a pay-per-click system, so the cost to post jobs varies considerably. Recruiters should consult customer service for further information, but the basic formula is: Monthly budget/cost per click=candidates viewing jobs and applying on website LinkUp's screen scraping data service, which extracts ATS job data into an XML file, starts at $199/month.
Reach
LinkUp has 50,000 employers recruiting through their website, with around 2 million job listings accessible at any given time.
Special Features
One unique feature of LinkUp is their affiliate program for web developers. Individuals or businesses can add LinkUp's job listing content to their website or blog in the form of job search boxes, banner ads, blog widgets, or direct API access. LinkUp provides a broad outreach for job recruiters with their focus on pay-per-click advertising through the main website as well as Facebook, Twitter, and mobile applications. The company provides web placement to optimize each recruiter's campaign, distributing jobs to the network and mobile apps, and they track which sources are delivering the best results for each client.
Resources and Learning Materials
LinkUp has a few webinars available on their website covering healthcare recruiting tips and trends, steps to take while searching for a job, pay per click recruiting, and recognizing and avoiding job scams. But their best source of learning materials is The LinkUp Blog, subtitled "The Industry's Best-Kept Secret." On the blog, LinkUp publishes monthly reports and statistics covering job growth by industry and job growth by state. The blog is frequently updated and includes articles on all employment-related topics, such as office culture, wage inflation, alternative advertising, and human resources. "The Industry's Best-Kept-Secret" seems to be an accurate description of this treasure trove of all things job search-related.
Experience
LinkUp was founded in 2005, and was the third paid search recruitment advertising company. Now they have over 11 years of experience in the job search industry.
Customer Support
The company offers technical support in the form of FAQ's, email form submission, social networking, and direct contact with their corporate office.

The Bad

  • Special features
Special Features
There are very few special features for job seekers using LinkUp. Aside from the standard options of saving job searches and getting automatic updates, the only perk seems to be the availability of a mobile app for Android, iPhone, and iPad. There is also no way for candidates to search for jobs based on a salary range, which might be a deal breaker for some job seekers.

The Bottom Line

LinkUp seems to be second to none in regards to job recruitment possibilities. Pay-per-click advertising ensures they are only paying when a job seeker actually clicks on their sponsored job. Finally, recruiters can maintain complete control of their recruitment message since applicants are taken directly to their company sites. On the other end, job seekers benefit from LinkUp's excellent blog materials. However, the company could focus on marketing to job seekers as much as they do job recruiters to expand their pool of candidates.

LinkUp is great! It’s simple and easy to use. It helped me find me and my sister the jobs we’re currently in.
