Peak hours, works poorly frequently. Verified I'm not passing large amounts of bandwidth (my edgerouter displays real-time traffic over the interfaces) and my internal Network has been tested thoroughly. Pings back to the midco gateway drop. Customer service only wants to send technicians out to waste time, and engineers won't fix their traffic issues. Probably poor over subscription ratios or putting off necessary infrastructure upgrades to save a buck. Either way, been dealing with this for months. No decent alternative available...

Their starting plan is cheap, about as cheap as other providers in the area. The price after a few years evens out to equal competitors pricing. For gaming, the internet is significantly worse. Noticeably more ping compared to Cable One. Not worth the switch

Midco apparently purchases the cheapest junk equipment they can get their hands on. I've been having troubles for several months. The dvr boxes are total crap! They were here about a week ago and replaced the one I had and now this one went down! I've missed several days of programming. They can't get a tech here until Wednesday. That's almost a week since I started having problems. Not happy, especially when I pay my bill every month. Not cheap either. Internet is crap too!

I had written a review before. the Midco takeover in Lawrence, KS is the worst thing that happened in terms of cable and internet. They had reassured me to honor the Wow contract and surreptitiously, they literally doubled the price of services for the exact same product that Wow offered. Epic fail. I had spoken to them on the phone when they reassured me that the Wow contract will hold and then 2 months later they doubled prices and automatically began charging twice as much.

Constantly losing upstream channel bonding, which then causes me to lose internet for a moment (annoying when you are gaming) While gaming, intermittent packet loss and latency issues. Two home tech visits and multiple tech support calls. Never solved my problem. I am switching.

Can’t provide the bandwidth they promise. Should be getting around 100mbps down and barely get 20. They blame it on the interference/. Signal loss for WiFi. I’m sorry I’m not gonna lose 80mbps every time I try to use the internet. Doesn’t matter how many time a restart the router or call them. Plus router is literally 5ft away from me at all time. It never gets better. Crappy service from a crappy company.

I hate paying $200.00 a month for a bunch of channels I am not even interested in. All I want are CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, TCM, AMC , BRAVO and adult swim. These are the only channels I watch and care about but now they took away TCM from the basic so to get it back I had to pay an additional $12.00 a month! I am disabled on a limited income and tv is my only companion but yet I am stuck with a bunch of channels I don't even want!!

Very in knowledgeable reps. Tried several times to pay my bill and still got disconnected even after them over charging and taking out money and putting in payment arrangement after their mistake. Need reps that ACTUALLY know their job. Only good thing they did was waive the reconnection fee, when it shouldn’t have been disconnected to begin with.

Absolutely garbage. Never get this internet. Sure the speeds and prices can lure you in, but the technicians and customer support are nothing but mindless zombies reading from a script, I have had my internet cut out every day multiple time while doing work and every time somebody comes out to fix it or I upgrade my modem or package like they recommend, it either stays the same, or it gets worse. Worst company ever. Only reason I’m staying is because it’s the only provider in the area. If you have any other options, and I mean ANY other options, do it. Midco. Is. TRASH.

The billing department is terrible. Have been with these folks for 3 years and 3 months ago they started to screw up our bill and send out late notices when we had paid on time every month. Customer service people do not understand what customer service is at all. So frustrating when you spend well over $200 per month and have to deal with monthly issues.

I wrote a review before and I'll say it again. The WOW to Midco transition in Lawrence, KS has been an atrocious disaster. I just got back from a trip to find that my cable service is not working while I've been paying for a bundle. I was never given any heads up and it is literally impossible to get customer service on the phone. It takes 65 minutes on average of waiting on the phone before anyone will answer, if ever.

I've had Midco for nearly a year now and have nothing but complaints. The tech who installed it said they have the best internet in the nation... he got my hopes up and I've been continuously disappointed. The internet cuts out all the time and the connection is very poor. I have a hard time just FaceTiming or browsing the Internet majority of the times.

Many people have problems with this service as it is just a shell company for Comcast with Midcontinent Media fronting some of the initial bill. The same terrible service with just fancier branding. The internet cuts out all of the time, especially at night. As someone who enjoys a few gaming sessions at night, you can easily see how this would be a problem for me. Their service also costs a fortune as they have a monopoly, especially in eastern South Dakota, if you want more than 5 Mbps, you are forced to sign a deal with the devil, i.e. Comcast.

Midco is a Monopoly. They control the internet service in the Sioux Falls area and they know it. Consequently they charge, gouge customers because they have NO CHOICE. A basic internet service costs more than the Gas and Electric each month for most of the year ! Their "promotions" are designed to reel you in, and then screw you as parts of promotion expire. It is absurd, irritating to know your being taken advantage of

Service is always slow or lagging and sometimes just completely out upload speeds are only 20mbps or lower on average would not recommend to anyone. Honestly wish there was a lower rating then one star because the don't deserve a Star at all

Pay over 70 a month...speed is slower the dial up from years ago,,,Quote one price then the bill is twice the original quote..These internet companies are going to put themselves out of business.There are other options out there now for internet that are cheaper and better,I am making the switch,enough of midco's crap.

Tested speeds with a VPN and without, with the VPN is consistently faster. This company will throttle your connection speed if you regularly use your internet. I will be looking to do business with their competitor as soon as possible. Hopefully they aren't as shady.

It is horrible. I have been watching it buffer for 15 minutes. Same thing every day. Customer service suggested that they will replace modem and should buy a router. I did . $ 370.00. It is the worst tv/internet ever. A rabbit ear connection is better.

This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with. They can't even get the installation right. We have spent hours trying to get them to fix the mess they made - and we didn't even want the service in the first place! There is no way that I will ever consider using them and my advice to you would be the same. They SUCK!!!

Midco constantly has outages or failure in equipment to justify the prices they set for services. Customer service is great in the aspect of talking to a person but if you want issues resolved that’s were the benefits end. Have been let down with this service too many times to say anything positive about it.

Very unreliable speeds. Without internet once or twice a month during peak weekend hours. I owned m modem, and when I canceled they tried to charge me for my modem. Best part is it is not a modem that they offer for lease. Lucky I save all receipts

my bill has increased 20$ in the last 5 months. cable internet up 10 month discount went from 13 to 10 taxes and fees and a couple other hidden charges or so called discounts gone. lack of options in this area tie my hands.

The internet when it works is really fast. Randomly,.... it just drops out, so streaming your favorite show becomes a major hassle for $70 a month. I would switch services if they’re other choices for my area.

Slow upload and download speed, struggles to support more than 3 people on the internet, constantly cuts out and shuts off, and their servers are slow. If possible, do not purchase anything from midco if you live in the US. Totally deserving of a 1/10

Quality is well below average , have to unplug system at least once a week to restart Customer Service is a joke , most of there answers to questions “I don’t know”. They are not trained just give them a headset and answer calls with no help. Terrible, Simply Terrible
