Affordable Plans

Complete ID's identity protection plans start as low as $8.99 per month for Costco Executive members.

For an additional $2.99, Executive Costco members can obtain child monitoring services. Gold Star members can obtain child monitoring services for $3.99 per month.

In comparison to other identity protection services, Complete ID does offer some of the most affordable identity theft protection coverage.

Monitoring Services

Complete ID offers a large number of monitoring services, including credit monitoring from all three major credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion). Potential customers should note that monitoring with Experian begins within 48 hours of enrollment in Complete ID and monitoring with Equifax and TransUnion takes approximately four days to begin.

In addition to credit monitoring, Complete ID offers financial account monitoring, criminal records monitoring, non-credit identity monitoring, dark web surveillance, payday loan monitoring, and social security number monitoring.

If any suspicious activity is detected, the company will issue a fraud alert to the customer.

Complete ID does offer a variety of other services included in its identity theft protection product. These include annual credit reports from all three credit bureaus and 24/7 customer support.

Helpful Identity Theft Insurance*

Complete ID provides customers with up to $1 million in identity theft insurance with no deductible. This policy covers and reimburses certain expenses if an identity theft situation, like a data breach or any other form of identity abuse, occurs.

According to the Complete ID website, the company's identity theft insurance covers lost or stolen wages/income, attorney fees/legal fees, child care/elderly care, refiling loan expenses, and more. Complete ID also provides full-service identity restoration as well as lost wallet replacement assistance.  

24/7 Customer Service

Complete ID customers can receive U.S-based customer service help around-the-clock.

For customers who find that they have fallen victim to identity theft, Complete ID offers direct communication with a designated identity theft restoration specialist.

The company's restoration specialists often offer an immediate plan of action. They walk customers who have has their identities stolen through the entire restoration process which can include calls on the customer's behalf and the filing of report paperwork.

Complete ID also provides customers with a full online list of potential steps they may have to take to recover from being an identity theft victim.

According to the Complete ID website, the Complete ID restoration "specialists can be granted limited power of attorney and can take action on your behalf."

Informative Online Education Center

For an identity theft protection company, Complete ID offers a good amount of online educational resources.

Complete ID is very transparent on its website and has an entire education center section on its website dedicated to teaching people about identity theft.

Some of the topics covered under the education center section include how thieves commit identity theft and identity fraud, how identity theft can affect a credit score, how people can protect their social security numbers, what to look out for when it comes to your credit report, how to spot fraudulent activity, and much more.

The company's identity theft insurance covers lost or stolen wages, legal fees, and more after a theft takes place. Additionally, Complete ID offers reliable identity restoration assistance which includes lost wallet replacement assistance.

There is a chance I'm going to need to file a dispute to one of the credit bureaus. The representative at Complete ID walked me through exactly what I need to do to get the required information and assured me that they would handle everything for me once I could point them in the right direction. She emphasized repeatedly that they would handle things. This probably the best customer service experience I've had in years!

The credit report, the centerpiece of the service, is updated only once a year. We sold a home in July, 2018. After countless calls to the bank, they finally reported the sale to the credit agency. After countless calls to the credit agency, they finally updated the report in May, 2019. Now, I must wait until September 15th to see an updated credit report. Substandard service at a premium price. I’ll be looking for a new monitoring agency

The membership does come with a new 3 bureau credit score every month and a score tracker to help you keep up with the changes over a period of time. We also monitor all 3 credit bureaus for the 5 important key changes: inquiries, new accounts, potentionally negative information, address changes and public records. There is not one all inclusive document you can download that states what you bought. Fragmented with different docs and just info on the website. I called to get one (good pick up time) and got some incomplete info . Came down to making screen shots. I did not get a receipt noting I am covered, start date and what I bought. Strange?

I was a customer of this service until I got a charge on my credit card for experian credit report which I never requested. I called experian and told them this was fraud and also called my bank and closed card out and got a new account . I then went and put the automatic payment back on the new card and again was charged for another credit report I never ordered through usaa insurance. This time I called usaa and asked what name was this being done under and found out it was not even me! It was Shalisa something and they then hung up. So after 2 new accounts I figured out it was Realid who was the source of the charges fraudulently being put on my card . Really the company that was supposed to protect me was one doing the fraud. Once I removed them and got another card with another new number it all stopped. What a joke and no one will listen to me trying explain that they were the source!

I was told by this service that there was two account with Wells Fargo in my name that had some changes to it. I called Experian to tell them that I have NEVER had any accounts with Wells Fargo. I had to call Wells Fargo myself to tell them zI had no accounts. Guess what they told me, I had no accounts with them. Called Experian again, still not resolved.

I received an email stating that some info in my checking account had been changed. The associate I called suggested that I get in touch with my bank to see what was going on. After. When I contacted the bank, I was told that it was just a phone number that I had corrected. It’s nice to know that CompleteID is watching over us as subscribers.

I brought the service because it was listed by Costco. The worst monitoring and total waste of money. The Score on the site and the fico score creditors are not even close. The service cannot even tell what they are showing on the site, it's pathetic talking to them.

Theft Insurance coverage with them is a bit misleading. Complete ID only covers assistance with restoring identify theft, not the actual funds you lost. My wallet got stolen. (5) transactions happened in one day totally ~$1500 and I blocked my cards and filed a police report the same day charges started to appear. Travis Credit Union is holding me responsible for the first $500 on each card. Yet, my bank hasn't even credit me back a dollar and it's a month later. This leaves me out of either the full $1500 or ~$620. Complete ID is of no help. Had I known NO COVERAGE for actual money losses, such as bank account losses, I would have signed up with another company that has that additional coverage.

the worst customer service on the fone ever.... was on hold and transferred four times to the wrong extensions and departments back and forth between CID and it's Parent Experian then finally got to someone who said I had to call the same number I had originally called and ask for the specific department I had originally asked for and that person was from Experian! ridiculous!

I've always been pleased with the response I get from Costco Complete ID. I prefer to call as my internet connection is poor and they always are on it to answer any question I may have. I even recommended it to my husband who also got it when he encountered a hack on his email. I am happy with their service.

I was disappointed to learn that the credit data shown when I logged in was very old. It should be updated more often than one year. Monthly or at least quarterly.

I can never sign into my account. I have to change my password every time even though I keep track of the passwords each time. My husband has the same problem. I end up calling and everyone I’ve spoken to over the phone deserves a 5 star rating. They are knowledgeable, professional and polite making me feel like a valued customer.

My credit card got canceled a year ago so they weren’t able to charge me for my membership- which I didn’t realize. My identity got stollen I called but found out my membership was canceled— they said no problem reactivated my membership & they’re taking care of my identity theft issues — amazing!

Ok So my Verizonwireless, account gets hacked on line and I did not get any messages from Complete ID that this occurred, also I was informed by one of the techs, that NO identity protection company in the industry is monitoring our cell phones, so what's the point in having this service if you cannot monitor our cell phones or websites that we use regularly, I am actually thinking about discontinuing the service as now with 2 step identifcation technowlogy this beefs up the security, however I am sure hackers know the backdoor to this as well, plus the corporate theft out there is not talked about, let's face it, everybody's got a price and I am sure there are disgruntled employees out there with high security clearances with major banks, mobile carriers..etc who given the right opportunity will give up info..well back to this service..I am not happy and I think I will terminate soon.

Contacted Complete ID regarding a recent credit inquiry. Didn't know who was inquiring. Repr. was able to give me answer I was seeking quickly . Put my mind at ease that it was a company that had issued a credit card earlier in the month and was just now running a credit check.

Fair - I can't complain so far. However, the gap between completeID and the competitor is big. They should catch up and do some improvement. Not all is bad, but a few items need some adjustments.
