Lied to about hot water tank being in stock when I released the order. It was not until 3 days later when I called to check on the status, I was told I would be called back within an hour with an update. When I did not receive a call 3 hours later I called back and I was told that the tank was just ordered that day. Who knows how long it would have been to get my hot water tank if I did not call them back.

Decent product for the money. However, they do not cover some things that one would think they would. For example, they mentioned bringing a house up to code but in actuality, they will not put in place something that was not there before. This is the very definition of a code violation. Generally, if your house is not up to code in an area it's because something is missing. It's sort of a catch 22

We don't appreciate their rates (billed monthly) going up so much each year when we don't use their services much. The second year of our warranty, I was told the customer service person shouldn't have given us the low rate we had when we first renewed after we bought our house 3 years ago and said she couldn't give us a better rate than she was going to charge us. Also, the $60 fee charged for each visit is more than many service providers charge to walk in the door.

Because the first time I needed them it was on a Saturday at noon when my heater suddenly stopped working, and having a baby and a 5 year old girl in the house, having the heater working was a priority. So I call them and they created a service ticket and said that someone would be getting in touch with us in 4 hours. What they didn't say is that the company they contacted was closed already for the weekend and they would be opening back on Monday morning. Long story short, when I found this out I cancelled my service call and I booked another company that WAS opened on Saturdays. I had to pay that out of pocket of course, it costs me $89 for a 30' easy visit.

Customer service is non-existent. Every time I call I get different answers to the same questions. They promise everything when you sign up and then, when you try to file a claim you had better have more patience than Job because you are going to have to micro-manage every step of the claims process, probably get your own contractor, and then you might even have to pay an attorney to get reimbursed for the money you are out of pocket on that contractor. Out of three claims filed, only ONE was handled in a timely and professional manner. My ice maker quit working and they sent someone out that fixed it right away. BUT, when I had a plumbing leak that was flooding my home and had to turn the water off to the entire property in the middle of summer with 20 animals depending on that water their idea of "expediting" the claim was to get someone out within "a week or two". So I had to find a contractor, pay the contractor and then wait months for a reimbursement. My most recent claim for a leaky washing machine in my rental property has been no better. I've spend close to 30 hours trying to get it fixed and Landmark is doing a fine Key Stone Cop impression unfortunately, to my financial and emotional detriment. There are some very nice people there, but the gross incompetence of both claims and customer service department is driving me elsewhere. I just hope I can find someone better because, frankly, this is the THIRD company I've used and it's about on par with the others. I might just go it alone and save the premiums in a special account for the repairs I need.

I called Landmark for the first time, night before last. Yesterday afternoon a technician was at our home to look into the problem with our AC system. Even though this particular tech did not find a problem, he told us to call them again should the noise return. Last night we called and left a voice message with the contractor. The owner (AirMax) and another technician came today, reported that the outside unit motor was going out. They contacted Landmark and the repair was completed by noon. Outstanding!

Our dishwasher stopped working, they had a company out right away. They had to order a new motor and worked on the soap dispenser. The motor was replaced and the soap dispenser worked on. Within a few day we noticed the soap dispenser wasn't working. The company came right back and put in a new one. Very happy with Landmark!
