Simple problem. Need to reset username and password. Talked to the first idiot with .broken english. Probably talking to me from camel country. Handed me off to a "specialist", got disconnected. Happened 3 times!!!!!!! Gave up. DON'T BUY THIS CRAP!!!!!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Never call you back when disconnected.....and they have your number from the first call!!!!

I have a camera mounted on top of building and it is wired and lost connection even though it has power and works. Having contacted Swann. I have been told that I need to add this camera again, but as I don't fly or have a ladder I can't reach up to add it again. It is going to be cheaper to have a new camera installed that get someone to climb up ladder to try and scan a barcode. Poor customer support. Best steer clear of this company.

The worst security cameras on the market today. Tech support is in Philippines and less than useless for the most part. They talk over you and send you a guide on how to set up your system...like we haven't already downloaded this junk pdf already! Twice now the cameras have failed and now I'm out of warranty. I'm resolved NEVER to buy Swann again! JUNK, JUNK, JUNK! Don't waste your money!

Swann product is JUNK!! DON'T BUY!!! didn't have a year and multiple cameras quit working. The power supply to 4 cameras went out. When you call in you get stuck talking to people in the Philippians leaving a huge language barrier. Was hung up on 3 times. Wad told replacement parts would arrive in 3-5 days. And they didn't. Had to call back. Then when i had something else go out and called in Hector told me when the correct department opened he would have them order the replacement part. Come to find out he did NOT. Talking with attorney tomorrow and filing complaint with BBB.

The system was purchased in August last year and I have received three faulty cameras in this time. Offering three months extended warranty on two faulty cameras, if they have been repaired to the standard I would expect then the warranty should be 12 months. Having no security for a minimum of two week, which may affect our home insurance. Lost all current data from the HDD due to your tech support wiping the system, without informing me of the consequence.

SWANN CAMERA SYSTEMS DO NOT WORK REMOTLY. I HAVE SPENT HUNDREDS OF HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH SWANN, THEY CAN GET THE SYSTEM TO WORK ON MY LAPTOP WHEN I SPEND 30 TO 40 MINUTES ON THE PHONE WITH THEM. THE NEXT DAY NO CAMERA VIEW ON MY LAPTOP. THIS IS THE PATTERN FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTH. I HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET AND A BRAND NEW MODEM, ROUTER, AND A BRAND NEW HP LAP TOP. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY ON THIS 8 CAMERA SYSTEM.

I was sold a product with expired firmware. In order to fix the problem I have had to jump through MANY hoops and the issue still isn't resolved. I asked for a manager to contact me to resolve the issues. 3 hours after my scheduled appointment to speak to her she called and had the nerve to hangup on me before the conversation was completed. She did not offer to make things right nor try to settle my dissatisfaction.

The Swann cameras will give you a decent video image. The problem comes in the time when the power supply for the both the DVR and the cameras will eventually have to be replaced as well as the cameras. During the process of trying to figure out what is going wrong, the tech support is less than adequate and are quick to send your unit to a technician for repairs instead of trouble shooting the problem at hand. Having to search the Net for alternative support to find the root of the problem is the best resolve. Just hope that you are still in warranty when your products start to fail.

Worst product I ever bought. Shipped me two NVR recorders and no cameras. You would think quality control would catch that before sending. Customer service was poor when I informed them of their mistake. Wanted me to pay for return shipping before getting another and warned they have a receipt on file if I didn't send in a timely fashion. Will NEVER use them again. Returned to Costco and got my money back. Be forewarned and don't buy from them.

Horrible customer service. Two phone calls and they kept insisting I have a bad cable running from my DVR to my computer, but it's a brand new cable run by a professional and has a 325 foot distance limitation. I have run it about 25 feet. They then insisted the cable is too long. I asked them to change the IP address of the DVR to match my Class C subnet, and they refused. Infuriating. Then I had to argue with them to get a call back!

Cameras are very good quality, but we had a break in and went through all the gaps where it stated the cameras picked up movement , and then family members tried, and we could not find where the crooks came and robbed our truck.

Installed 16 cameras NVR system over last weekend. The very next day 7 cameras started to leak rain water. Swann Customer Service wouldn’t pick up the phone, don’t answer to e-mails… literally NO Tech Support available! Stay away!

I bought the system three years ago. I used their customer service a year ago to fix their software issue. But they don't have customer service any longer. The software is extremely outdated, there is no maual for swann view plus.

purchased the 4k 8 camera system to replace an old one, withing the first 3 months one camera went out support said they would replace, now another camera went out. the system is constantly rebooting. find a better system and when you do let me know what it is, sadly my ebay zmodo lasted 5x longer than this.

I bought my Swann security camera package about 3 years ago and it worked fine up until just a couple of months ago, now you cant view camera's from remote location or phone. These suck if they are not reliable, I dont know what has happened to their service but they need to fix, and I would not recommend this system at this time.

I bought their single camera outdoor home camera system. Its motion detector is so poor, it could not detect a grown man walk in front of it and pick up a box and walk away, in the middle of the day, despite optimised camera settings. Absolute useless.

24/7 Customer support was a joke a pictures of the cameras when they came on the screen were useless. I couldn’t tell if my daughter was African American or Caucasian from 30yrs away (tops). At night it’s even more of a joke

Customer service and Tech support is absolutely horrible. The amount of money paid for the products you would expect them to work. I have now been on the pbone with them for 2 hours and have gotten no where. They are suppose to have a product guarantee yeah right doesnt look that way.

Their software sucks. It stays crashing. There is always a "not responding" error. Remove, restart, reinstall, resetup, and still the same errors. Works "ok" on the phone, but software for PC sucks. No, its not my computer (SSD, i7 4770K, 16GB, etc)... I'll be investing into a different security system.

We purchased a $500.00 system from Swann in 2015, it hasn't worked properly in a year. I called to ask about replacement of battery packs and that system was discontinued. Customer service told me to look on eBay or Amazon for replacement parts!

I have 2 Swann video dvr surveillance systems. The first system I've had 5 years and have replaced the dvr unit once and 3 of the 8 cameras. I have 1 bad camera now on that system. The second unit is HD and is 22 months old. First the hard drive failed and about 2 weeks later the unit quit completely. I'm a slow learner but I'm done with Swann.

While the cameras and recording device were of good quality the zigbee devices had a lot of trouble pairing even with their $50 zigbee range extender (recommended by their help desk). The extrnal siren is not loud enough. The app would also not connect at random times to arm/disarm the system. Highly not recommend buying a Swann security package

God awful company. Site registration wouldn't work so I couldn't register the camera. Called and they said they'd fix my account and get back to me within 24-48 hours. Week later still no call back or anything. Just returned it and got a camera from another company that was no hassle hooked it up in 10 minutes. Site is crap, service is crap.

Just Crap

I have been contacting Swann for over a week now. They won't help me. I purchased a 4-Camera Swann Compact Security System. I keep getting errors and they won't help me. It is not a DIY system if they do not provide ALL of the instructions you need and they won't help you. It sucks I will not purchase from them again.

I agree with the other ratings of one star. This product is horrible - non-intuitive, will not work via wifi, remote viewing is 'zero' viewing. I am out $1395 that included installation and it was an expensive mistake.

Out of the box hasn't looked like operating. Called Swann service/customer support, was told to download an app that doesn't open up on a MAC. Will be seeking money back. Expensive decoration on outside of house!!!!!!
