I'm a satisfied customer. I have uses Lemonade for the past 3 years to insure my rented apartment. Setting up a policy was very easy. I simply selected the coverage I needed (based on parameters set by my building's management) and in minutes had a policy that was effective on my intended move-in date. The cost is very affordable. I'm also very happy with the website interface. It was very easy for me to make changes (adding a roommate, updating a billing address) and obtain copies of proof of insurance. I have had no issues at all. I would recommend Lemonade.

Great and fairly inexpensive. My only concern is what would happen if I needed to file a claim. I have never done so with Lemonade, but if it is anything like the other tech insurance companies then it will be a nightmare. However, I have not had a claim experience with the business and have been happy paying my 20 bucks a month for renters insurance. Now, we are with another company as we got a really good offer with our auto policy. I would say that Lemondae is definitely an affordable option though

Once I filed my claim, it was pretty straightforward to get it paid out. However, I didn’t end up filing the claim for more than 4 months after the incident, because no one from lemonade would talk to me about the process (my damage was caused by another apartment) before I filed. They said my premiums would go up if I filed, so I was in no-man’s land for quite some time.

Water damage from upstairs condo unit. Filing a claim was easy. Field adjuster was assigned promptly and came out pretty fast. However, it did end up taking 3 months before the claim was approved. I'm not sure if that would be okay for people who do not have enough to pay for the repairs upfront.

No insurance company wants to pay out for damages in your home and it’s obvious that after the second claim you guys were tired of me. I didn’t ask for the damages to happen. I would have liked to feel more supported by Bobbe my claims specialist. They didn’t pay out what they were supposed to. My first claim was with Maya and she was great and I felt supported through the process. Nobody wants their house to fall a part it felt nice they someone actually cared.
