World Market

World Market in Vancouver, WA. Half the items doesn't have price. After spending 2 hours there, when i was at the cashier, i couldn't pay because "we updated the system and only accept chip cards". What a bullshit. What a crappy service and way to discriminate. My favourite place is now a big disappointment.

We literally searched high and low in World Market until we found the metal art piece we needed to make the space above our mantle complete. We were also able to find smaller complimentary pieces for above our windows to tie it all together. Though the store can be somewhat chaotic, we enjoy searching through all of the treasures to find just what we need to perfect our look.

Cost Plus World Market is a fun store to shop at. They have unique items at good prices. They have a great selection of products for your home. Their kitchen section has many interesting items. They also have a great food section with items from all over the world.

I love World Market! It's such a fun store to find unique products that highlight different styles found throughout the world. They have a wide variety of products all priced decently and are higher quality than you'd expect for that price. Fun jewelry and scarves, beautiful textiles and wall decor and a food section where you can find things from different countries - some of the best curry powder I've found was from World Market. I've always found something I love. The employees are helpful and kind - I've always walked out happy after visiting.

I was so sad that the World Market near me closed because they have great products as well as customer service. Their prices are a little bit high but the quality of their products makes up for it.

Such awesome stuff. I recently need some season items for entertaining for a party and they were a one stop shop for almost everything I needed. Very happy with hostess gifts I was able to grab as well.

World Market always has such fun stuff. I love going to get unique gifts, flavorings for drinks, different treats and food and awesome stocking stuffers. They have beautiful furniture and lighting. Great store.

My parents bought a table from World Market 13 years ago because they knew my younger brothers were going to destroy any other table. This table continues to stand in their dining room in great condition. This store in great and fun to explore because they have many unique pieces of furniture and other home decor.

I am obsessed with World Market! I always go here for unique home goods and gifts. Everything I've bought here has been high quality and very affordable. They have a lot of products here that are comparable to much more expensive brands too.

I love World Market! A couple months ago I was on vacation in Florida and I stopped into a World Market. First, it smelled delicious, and second, I wished I had a bigger suitcase to bring stuff home. It is a feast for the eyes and nose in there. You will always find interesting home decor and food items. I can't wait to return again.

Ordered a full length mirror. Received the half-sized one. Contacted WM, was told they were out of stock and sent me a return label unprompted and initiated a refund. Asked how much the mirror I received cost, because depending on the price I might keep it instead. They resent the same email. Emailed again, asking the same question. Received the same email. This happened multiple times. Called. Customer service rep. was very rude, uninterested in the story, and unapologetic. Finally agreed I could just be refunded the difference and keep the mirror. Couldn't use the 30% off I'd originally used on the mirror I didn't get since I 'already used the coupon'. So I ended up paying full price for the mirror I didn't order because they couldn't fulfill the order I used the coupon on. Makes sense! At this point, just said ok, hung up, etc. Then I was waiting for a nearly $500 daybed. Delivery scheduled, delivery company called to tell me the box was damaged but the bed was fine. Called back to tell me actually, the bed is not fine. They'd get a new one and reschedule delivery. 3 weeks later after checking the status regularly, decided to check in since it still said 'waiting for carrier'. They emailed back saying - surprise! - the bed is out of stock. Here's a refund! Obviously at this point I flipped out. Told them I don't want a refund, I want the bed. They emailed me back...about...the mirror. I emailed back asking them to read the email I sent them this time before continuing to waste my time. Now they email me a repeat of the same email from the first time. I tell them they need to find the bed at a store, then, and ship it to me from the store. They finally tell me the bed is out of stock in all the stores - which is hilarious, because I was at my local store about three weeks ago and they had it, so I'm sooo glad they waited until *I* suggested a solution on their behalf, and now it's too late! It's almost as if they could have resolved this on their own weeks ago, if only I had been working for them and instructing them on how to resolve problems! They then tell me they 'called me multiple times today but the phone rang busy' which is factually untrue based on: I had my phone in my hand all day as I spent most of my day EMAILING THEM. My phone did not ring. I have no missed calls, as proven by the call log I sent them a screenshot of. I have no voicemails. And do cell phones even ring busy??? I wasn't even on the phone today! How would it ring busy?? So basically, I ordered furniture over a month ago, and two of the main items I ordered are out of stock and WM does not have a single soul in their office who can read, comprehend, and respond to emails, nor do they know how to actually find a solution to anything besides 'sending a refund'. Do note, on my order status log it STILL shows that the bed is 'awaiting carrier pickup'. For context, I had an issue with WALMART getting me a mattress once, and they fixed it in literally ONE DAY. For emphasis, *WAL MART*. I also had an issue with Target twice. Both times the issue was resolved with ONE EMAIL. The SAME DAY. I have 15 emails from WM customer care dating back from 3/31 through today, and nothing has been resolved beyond just like...refunding me for what they decided not to send me after I paid for it...which is just legally what they have to do.

An experience of disappointment all around. Our order was delayed to arrive by over a month when it was promised in 5-7 business days. Secondly, the delivery company SEKO that World Market uses are rude and not pleasant to deal with in scheduling and delivery. The amount you pay for delivery--they only deliver to your front door or garage, not inside the house. No were on their website does it state that the delivery is only to the front door or garage only. When I called World Market about the issues, they were sorry and they couldn't do anything about it. We will certainly not buy anything again from World Market. Instead, we will shop at other companies (Pottery Barn, West Elm, CB2, Anthropologie, Restoration) that deliver and set-up your furniture. World Market offered nothing but poor customer experience and lack of care for customers. We have a choice where we shop and spend our money and it will not be at World Market, because they don't value customer care.

I placed an order on Sunday 11/11 and updated my address to AZ from MI when I received an email confirmation they mixed part of my MI address and AZ address together. I called within an hour and thought it could be changed. The customer service rep told me she could not change it and I would have to contact my postal service or who ever was shipping it and change it with them or let it ship to the wrong address and come back to the store., Hung up! Called back the next rep took my address told me he would put it on a supervisors deck and it would be taken care of. So I called Monday morning 11/12 and spoke to a Supervisor who stated it was not to late and it would be taken care of, matter of fact she called me back to ask me for my address again. Then Tuesday night I get a new email that it shipped, low and behold it’s still the old address. I called spoke to ANOTHER supervisor and she stated there was not no guarantee that the address would have been changed and now I would have to let it ship to an address that doesn’t even exist and wait for that to happen. I was unable to talk to someone who could actually give me answers or tell me that my over $500 purchase was gonna be taken care and be able to reach me by Thanksgiving. I’m so disappointed and disgusted with the incompetence of how this was handled as will never give them my business. Buyer beware Cost Plus don’t care about you and what you spend with them! Update- I’ve been going back and forth with this company who has continued to give me misinformation about my shipment, that when I ordered it was intended for Thanksgiving. It’s so disheartening when you not only don’t receive your product, your money back or a solution for all you inconvenience’s. I have still not received my order of the refund I was told a week ago from Mike in the Customer Service management team. It is the 28th and I called and left a message for Mike in Monday the 26th to find out about the refund of my money.

The customer service was not as helpful As I would’ve hoped I could’ve caught someone on a bad day since I’ve only purchased one item from the store

There is a wide variety of items at World Market Stores. I wasn't planning on buying anything and I walked out with a lot. It is easy to do there between food, clothing, games, and housewares.

Hands down my favorite place to find fun furniture and things for the house. There is everything from frames to baskets to chairs. Everything enough go back to California (where I’m from) I go there to see if there is anything to bring back. More than once I have something on my roof of my car making the trek two states away.
